Not a «typical» massage. Norma will fix what ails you. I have known her for many years and she continues to amaze me. If you have a body or body part that is in need of therapy, I highly recommend Norma so you too, can be amazed.

Norma is amazing — her bodyworks skills will put your body back to a place that feels like home. I feel so much better, more relaxed, and more flexible after my time with Norma :)

«the body tune up» is aptly named. i will spare you the«i have tried everything…» because i literally have, and the results have been underwhelming, maybe a few short term fixes. norma is doing work. she intuits where the problem lies, and its not in your chakras(at least not primarily). everything connects in your body and norma knows where things should and shouldn’t be, structurally, internally — organs to muscles to bones. its astounding. the treatment is pragmatic. i have issues that come from bad posture, over use, normal wear and tear, kids needing to be held, all of that. these tune ups are starting at the root and slowly unraveling what ails. it is working, and there is no miracle cure. its making me become functional again. im not really sure why massage is the category because this doesn’t resemble massage as we have are accustomed to here in the spiritual west; massage oil, monks chanting, ego stroking, etc. go see norma if you are in pain, and thank me later.

I have been going to Norma for over 3 years. My former massage therapist moved and recommended Norma. She said that Norma was the only person she trusted to do body work on her! Norma has kept my body moving, and my muscle soft. I stand all day and my legs become like rocks over time. My back will also ache. I see Norma every 3 weeks and she makes my legs soft and subtle. When my back aches, she finds the spot to work to fix it. Not always the spot that hurts! And over the years, Norma has become a friend. Not only is she a good massage therapist, but a good person, too!

I cannot say enough great things about Norma and her skills. I have seen her for a few different reasons and always come away very satisfied. A friend recommended Norma when I broke my finger and it was not healing properly even with physical therapy. I still don’t know exactly WHAT she did, but after a few times, it started to heal much faster and better. The doctor was impressed. Later, I saw her for a straight overall body massage. Fantastic. Great energy. Body completely satisfied – and I’m pretty picky about massages. I appreciate how she continually checked in about the pressure, asking how it was working for me. The space is nice and sunny and quiet. Okay, writing this is making my body crave another session. Emailing her now…

Norma Ott is a certified massage therapist(CMT) who specializes in treating chronic pain and joint injury repair. I went to her for pain I’d had for 12 years from a hip injury — after a couple of bouts of physical therapy, countless chiropractors, yoga, massage therapists, etc. etc. etc. Most of those treatments gave me temporary relief, but Norma is the only person who was able to heal the pain permanently. Something about myofascia… I don’t know all the underlying anatomy, I just know it feels great. Don’t expect a spa-type massage — she focuses on the pain, and in that sense, it is soothing. But it’s not an all-over body massage complete with aromatherapy oils. On the other hand, she’s not going to have you doing acrobatics and exercises on the massage table(and yes, some CMTs do!) — you can just relax and let her work her magic. Prices are super affordable, and she’ll never try to upsell you as some chiropractors do.(Vitamins, therapy props, that kind of thing.) All she does is massage, she doesn’t sell anything else. There’s also a refreshing lack of new age mumbo jumbo. Before I went to Norma, I was dreading the time/money/energy investment that trying a new treatment takes. Feeling pretty hopeless and not wanting to spend a few months finding out whether or not this would work. But the friend who recommended her to me said, «It either starts working right away or not at all. Just go once. If you don’t feel radically better, don’t go back.» Best advice ever! I felt way better after the first treatment, then was pretty much well after about six. I still go back once every few months if I feel a twinge, or if I strain something else(I hike a lot, so that happens). So I guess my one caution is that it can be addicting.
