Decent mexican food. Their carnitas were okay but not really anything special. They don’t give you a ton of meat, but it’s kinda sorta enough, I could have definitely used more.

Great place to get a burrito when you’re on campus or looking for a place for a quick lunch, so much better than La Burrita in terms of taste however they don’t stay open as late as La Burrita because of their location in the Bear’s Lair. I’m a big fan of this place. Their refried beans are excellent, the rice is good but it has vegetables in it which I pick out but would prefer if they weren’t there to begin with(personal preference). They’re really fast, even when the line looks ridiculously long during lunch; I don’t think I’ve waited much more than 5 minutes to get to the front of the line. Finding a place to sit in the Bear’s Lair at lunchtime can be difficult, but usually not impossible; it’s also quick and easy to pick something up on your way home. The price is good too — I get a burrito, side of rice and a drink for under $ 6.

This is one of your beter bets for eating on the UC Berkeley campus. The Reyes family runs this little taqueria in the Bear’s Lair just off Sproul Plaza. The staff are all Reyes family members, they are very nice and make pretty good food. The aqua frescas are very good and they stock Mexican cokes(in a glass bottle) in their cooler.
