Man, I can come to this place every couple days for lunch. They have a pretty lengthy menu, but it’s fun to build your own… Hold on, let’s back up. So the sushi burrito is wrapped in seaweed, and the diameter is about triple the size of a standard sushi roll. And there are all sorts of meats and toppings to add. They have everything from sweet, to spicy, to savory.

Something about this place is really unique and fun, and it tastes really good. Definitely going back

Worst place ever. The wraps are truly disgusting. Couldn’t even finish… staff are rude too

Sushi burrito is my favorite food these days. Difficult to find a good place. I got B1 and it was really good with shrimp, crab and spicy mayo.

Love sushi wraps here!!! Sometimes sauce is overloaded and covers up the raw sushi fish taste, which I love! Also, it makes me wonder how fresh the fish is since they’re just masking it with creamy dressings instead of enhancing it. Convenient and an easy grab-n-go meal! Very nice servers.

Ive always believed in 2 nd chances so I decided to give it another shot since i was nearby. This time I guess I was lucky I didnt have the same experience as my poor big girl had last time. I ordered the tuna n salmon burrito, it had a decent amount of big chucks of salmon n tuna, veges ingred were fresh, burrito wrapped nicely n its a good size. I think it cud use a good tasty sauce. it was bland for me. another inprovement is the service, not tat it was bad but i almost felt depressed staring at them, they can use a lil smile n turn up the jam wit some musics too.

Ok Sushi Secrets. You grabbed my attention with your high Unilocal reviews. I’m not sure if I feel disappointed or if I’m just neutral /Meg about my experience. Let’s start with saying I tried both the B1 and the B3 sandwiches. This will only make sense if you look at their menu, of course. The B1 was a sushi burrito roll that focused on imitation crab as the bulk of the ingredient, along with a sweet sauce. B1 was tasty, creamy, and sweet. B3 on the other hand was raw fish(tuna mostly) along with spicy sauce and wasabi. I’m ok with spicy sauce and spicy stuff … I just have no fondness for wasabi. And this isn’t wasabi just in one part of the sushi burrito … No… Wasabi paste smeared throughout. Needless-to-say, I quickly wanted to abandon B3. Overall, not a bad experience. I’ll probably be back if I’m in the area. Would recommend a go at it for other folks. Maybe just make sure there isn’t wasabi in yours! Other notes: not too many seats inside; not good for large groups; parking is terrible since this is downtown; right next to downtown Berkeley Bart station

My bf and I have been dying to try Sushiritto in the city but we went around lunch time and it was a nightmare! Hard to find parking, so many people walking around, traffic, I mean it was PACKED everywhere. SOOOO we went to Berkeley instead, closer to home, and less busy/packed. We parked on the street and surprisingly, they weren’t busy and it was still lunch time. The workers there were very nice and their service is fast. I got the B8(Salmon, homemade tamago, cucumber, cabbage, carrot, sweet corn, lotus chips. Sauce: honey avocado aioli, mango aioli and anago aioli) and my bf got the B2(Tempura unagai, homemade tamago, surimi crab, house marinated cucumber, Japanese garlic chips, shaved cabbage, julienne carrots. Sauce: toasted spiced sriracha aioli and anago sauce) which were both delicious and tasty! We love spicy mayo on our sushi and I was happy that they had some! They cut the sushiritto into 2 pieces, which is a great serving size, not too little and not too much. You can even customize which is great if you’re a picky eater. The atmosphere is very casual, not fancy at all, compared to your average sushi restaurants. I guess it mirrors more of a burrito place than sushi, totally understandable haha If you love sushi rolls, try this place out!

I LOVETHISPLACE. The customer service was great. I had B8 and loved the salmon, it tasted fresh. I wish they opened up one of these closer to my house I would be here everyday. The only disappointing part was that portions are small. I could have ate 2 or 3 of those delicious little rolls.

Sweet and savory. It gives you that sushi you crave for but the satisfaction of a huge chunky burrito portion. Price is decent, and the food comes out quick. I’d say it’s a perfect place for students. The only con for many Berkeley kids is that it’s out of the way from campus. But if you’re bothered to just detour a little, then this is the go-to quick meal place for students. For most«authentic» fresh sushi taste go for the one with spicy tuna(I think B3) or the one with corn(I think B8).

Newbie to the sushirrito, this was my first try. I tried B3 Chichibun upon recommendation from the sushi chef and it was good. I liked the kimche which added that spice I like. I also tried the lobster balls and they were good, it was dough and inside small pieces of lobster. It was my first time tasting them this way and I enjoyed them. Pros: –conveniently located next to bart –Sushirrito grab and go –B3 was delicious –comfy couches to sit and eat in the back –frequent buyer card Cons: –I would had liked some kind of spicy sauce on the side Why the 3 stars it was ok, I will definitely come back and try it for an updated review. 12 uno 15

Once you have tasted the sushiritto, it’s difficult to like other sushi burritos. I had Chichibun and Hokushita and one was so spicy you couldn’t get the taste of the fish. The other one was too fresh with veggies, it didn’t really tasted like a sushi. Overall, Geisha’s Kiss is what I’m talking about for sushiritto. It’s hard to beat them.

We got eel with corn, seaweed, cucumber, anago sauce and toasted garlic aioli! It was decent but the size of it was severely depressing. I think I finished half of it in like 2 bites. Bae had the other half as we shared :) nothing spectacular, but nothing bad. Just average. –Edmund This was definetly the smallest sushi burrito I’ve ever had. Personally, it’s hard to go wrong with sushi because it always tastes so good. I just wish the portion was larger! –Kristen 3 stars from Edmund. 3 stars from Kristen.

Sushi’s Secret is that they have this machine that’ll place rice on your seaweed. Pretty interesting. I wanted this massive sushi burrito but without the rice. I asked for one and they said they couldn’t make it and it would have to be a bowl instead(insert sad face). But I get it… it wouldn’t be able to hold anything without the rice… yah yah yah. The morning we stopped in we needed to order some drinks for a few colleagues. Sadly, they had no ice that morning. Food was good. I’m thinking about Sushi Secrets for lunch now…

I’ve never had a sushiritto before so finallyy got to try it. We got the #8 one with salmon. Although it didn’t look super appealing, it was actually quite tasty! It had a good amount of fish and not an overly large amount of rice which was nice. We got this with the milk tea combo for $ 10.99 which is pretty reasonable. The jasmine milk tea was pretty good. My favorite was the takoyaki. We got 3 pieces for $ 2.99. They were cooked really well and filled with deliciousness! Very tasty little balls, I’d definitely recommend this. Don’t forget to get a stamp card! Lots of seating inside and friendly workers. I’ll def be back!

I personally love this place, this is my second time trying this place. You can build your own sushirito, which is cool or choose from the pre built menu already if u purchase a sushirito you can add a milk tea for $ 1 more $ 9.99. I also tried the Poki salad. So bomb. Fish tastes fresh. The only downside honestly is the music they played and the lighting. It’s a little bit off but food wise it’s amazing!

This was my first time getting a sushi burrito. I’ve heard plenty of stories about the famous Sushirito, but never really heard much about this place. I finished yoga today and my friend wanted sushi so I looked up sushi restaurants in Berkeley and came about this place. To my surprise, this place had a decent amount of reviews and stars. First off, the selection comes in a variety. You can make your own, or you can have the pre –made ones. I got B1 the one with crab and shrimp tempura. I loved this one. The size is decent but I wish it was bigger. The price is 7.99 and if you add more salmon or raw fish, you pay a premium price for 9.99. In addition, after that, if you select regular and then get a milk tea, you can get a combo for 9.99. The guy working there in pink hair was awesome! The service was so great! After you order, they bring it to you. There is free water there for yourself. In addition, they have plant tea which is something hard to find in the east bay these days. I didn’t get to try the tea, but I have to say the sushi burrito was great! I loved the sauce in it, they put crab that is very fresh, shrimp tempura and cream cheese and an assortment of veggies. The only down part is parking. Parking is very hard, but if you bart, its super easy.

I’ve came to Sushi Secrets once before and ordered a crab bowl and avocado smoothie and thought both were pretty good. The crab bowl had a lot in it(imitation crab and corn among other ingredients) and I couldn’t finish it in one sitting. The avocado smoothie tasted like avocados so I enjoyed it as well. I went back again and ordered the popcorn chicken listed as a new item so I could compare it to Sweetheart Café. Although the pieces were less fatty than Sweetheart, it was also more bland and got extremely hard if you didn’t eat it quickly enough. I ate about a third of the bag before I offered it to someone else to see if they wanted it. I also ordered another avocado smoothie. It again tasted like fresh avocados but they didn’t blend it well enough so I was crunching on tiny(and not so tiny) ice cubes. They were pretty busy when I got there so I’ll assume that’s why they didn’t blend it longer. They’re quick with wrapping the sushi burritos and have a secret combo of any sushi burrito and milk tea for $ 9.99. There was only one table occupied when I went the second time as everyone else was taking their orders to go. I’d come back to give their sushi burritos a try since that’s what they’re actually known for but wanted to give a review on what I’ve had there so far.

I have no reason to rate this place any less than 5 stars. First off, they don’t open until noontime on Saturdays. We got to the restaurant at 11:30am and started ordering without realizing they weren’t even open. It wasn’t until I opened the Unilocal app to check in that I noticed that we were totally early. But they never mentioned to us once that they were still closed(before I asked) or turned us away to come back when they actually did open. So great customer service! Secondly, they have a build-your-own option. Sushi wraps/burritos have become extremely popularized. But this restaurant has their very own style that sets them apart from other competitors! With the ability to have control over what goes into your sushi at only $ 8.99 is just awesome. I ordered the 2 main option with salmon and unagi(eel), the sauces I used were anago and spicy mango, and the sides that I chose were seaweed, cucumber, and corn. Lastly, the flavors are explosive. The fish is fresh. And it satisfies your hunger. Please do give them a try.

Working a block away from Sushiritto in the City, I was excited to try Sushi Secrets and the similar style of food. Upon visiting, I was pleased with the taste but I think I’d prefer Sushiritto over Sushi Secrets. The flavor is good and it’s fun to eat sushi in this inventive way. However, I must admit that my friend and I both had terrible stomach aches after eating here… I don’t know why, or what caused this, but sadly, it has scared me from trying this place again! :(
