Sound Advice Speech Therapy

Prior to selecting Teresa I had several phone conversations with speech therapists as I tried to sort out insurance options and costs. Teresa was the only one to take the time to really help me sort out all the concerns and find a reasonable treatment plan. We had several phone interactions and she gave me a through understanding of what should be happening with a two year old. Several other therapy groups didn’t even bother calling back.
My 2 year old son started with 15 words and 40 hand signs. Teresa worked with him (and myself) and it was amazing how his ability to speak grew so quickly. She is very approachable– typically my son does not like new people but he was always pleased to see Teresa. She is very patient and would explain things to me as many times as I needed to understand how to better help him. She came to our house and always brought engaging books and toys. Her «homework» plans were easy to follow and created measurable steps for us to see his improvement. I am so grateful for what she has done in helping us learn new ways to communicate and build his vocabulary. I would highly recommend Teresa to any child that is in need of speech assistance.

I called on Teresa to give supplement therapy to my nephew. My nephew typically shies away from strangers, but he really felt comfortable with her and interacted with her right away. Teresa is very nice and approachable which is important for the young kids she helps out with. She really helped my nephew a lot with speech and communication. She also comes to the house which was a big plus and a better learning and familiar environment for her clients. After the sessions, she would email me a detailed report about his accomplishments and things he needs to work on for the next session. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a speech therapists.
