disclaimer: I’m trying to write this review for the NEW pizza place that has taken the space once occupied by Pizza Love and Pizza Fiesta. This new enterprise is called Pizza Emilia… my first Unilocal… been waiting for this. Almost got motivated to review my hometown pizza joint, but it’s been a while since I went home. Almost got incensed enough to write a scathing review of one place that just kept fucking up… but I wanted my first time to be something special. something positive… something magical. I’ve found something magical. For the past week, I’ve been distraught. The neighborhood pizza place hadn’t been answering the phone. Did someone die? Did I not tip enough last time? Pizza Fiesta was cheap and reliable. $ 10, ten minutes, and a large pizza with drinks. It was so cheap, and so reliable, and the staff was always so friendly… it enabled me to look the other direction when it came to the quality of their pizzas. I’m a New Yorker. I live on pizza. This is no exaggeration. When I graduated college, I took a job in my favorite pizza place so that I knew I would always be well-fed. Until today, that college pizza place was the best slice I’d ever had outside of NYC. After what I just experienced, I think I’ve got a new contender for the crown. Pizza Emilia is the real deal. Perhaps the best pizza in the Bay. After a week of unanswered phone calls to Pizza Fiesta, I decide to stop by. In place of the drab, dusty décor I’d known for the past 9 months, I found a bright shiny establishment with the scent of fresh basil and mozzarella wafting out the door. Although not officially open for business yet, the owner was celebrating by offering $ 1 slices for walk-ins. Of course, there is only walk-in business at this point because the phones were not even hooked up yet! So the pizza: Light, airy crust. Perfectly authentic in its NYC nature. The sauce was immaculate; I could taste the fresh tomatoes. The cheese was amazing… real mozzarella, and just the right amount. It actually reminded me of slices I’ve had in Italy. Truly, a work of art. Did I mention the small bit of basil on top? I swear to god, this pizza made all my troubles melt away. It was so good, I immediately walked back for a second slice. The couple that had placed their order after me was sitting inside eating. They couldn’t say anything because their mouths were full, but they saw me coming and we all smiled, laughed, and nodded in agreement. Pizza Emilia, you’re my new best friend.

Really 3 stars for the pizza, but rounded up for nice fast service + the fact that we go there once a week. I can’t really say anything about delivery cause we always pick up.(They have better deals when you pick up.) I normally just call and ask them what deals they have for the combo I want. They’re usually ready in 10 – 15 min — just enough time for me to call, chill for a minute, then walk over to pick it up. It’s always ready when I get there. It is what it is — just your simple bready pizza that satisfies when you don’t feel like cooking and want to relax with a movie on the couch. It doesn’t advertise as being gourmet or mind-blowing, so don’t knock it cause it’s not. There just trying to run a business here, they’ve got mine. Much better than I first anticipated, I was expecting something like Domino’s. Of course everything taste better to me with some Sriracha or Sambal! Sizes are on the smaller side, but the prices are low. Have to take into account, there is no small size, just M/L/XL. The pizzas I’ve gotten have a good spread of toppings, cheese and sauce.

This pizza rocks. Only $ 11 for an x-tra large with two toppings! Thats 50 cents a topping. Pick it up yourself and forget about the wait– 15 minutes! Eat it for yourself and you’ll see!

It hadn’t even occurred to me to order delivery pizza whilst living on my own until last night. Call it an epiphany, call it lethargy, call it gluttony — whatever you call it — I’d hesitate before calling Pizza Fiesta again. Apparently they’re about three blocks away from me, but my pizza arrived after a full hour. It is cheap and it is better than dominoes — in fact, it did have some potential but I agree with an earlier reviewer here — IT“S THECHEESE, MAN! — Pizza Fiesta, you need to invest in some better quality cheese for your pizza. The cheese is that tasteless rubbery variety. And of course, having ordered this for myself, I now have ¾ of a pizza in my fridge that I may. .. be able to give to the homeless!

Cheap(You can get an extra-large or 2 mediums for under $ 15). Quick(if you pick it up yourself). Mediocre tasting, but what do you expect? The cheese is the main problem, so make sure you get at least 2 toppings.

A shitty looking hole in the wall. We hoped that it would turn out to an amazing pizza place run by a bunch of chinese guys. The pizza is done in about 15 minutes and they have great pick-up deals($ 13 for 2 medium pizzas, 2 toppings). The food was pretty good but not something I would go out of my way for. They also have free delivery! PS: they have some good topping options like feta and bbq sauce!

you know how sometimes you pass by a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant, and you think, «this place looks so shitty, and so disgusting, that it just might be absolutely delicious?» not applicable here.

Walked by this place late last night, well ten or so. Grabbed a pizza. It was very thin in the middle but had a decent ring of crust around it. I’d say if it’s late then this place beats domino’s, blondie’s, and fat slice, but otherwise go somewhere else in Berkeley for good pizza. Service was good, nothing bad to say there.

well, i thought i was calling Pizza Love. usually when i stay in Berkeley, i order the Market Street special: chicken, avocado, mushrooms, jalapeños, bell peppers. this time i called and the chap who answered the phone advised that it’s called Fiesta Pizza now. no matter. he also told me they were plum out of avocados, so i ordered a Greek pizza instead. i ordered from Fiesta Pizza twice during my visit; each time, it took over an hour to arrive. mind you, i’d be more gracious if the restaurant was far, far way, but the place where i am staying is just down the street. it just seemed a bit ridiculous. much to my surprise, i opened the box to find the Greek pizza positively simmering in feta cheese and black olives. i took one bite of a piece and, honest to god, said«wooooooowwww,» three times in a row. i almost felt guilty for not overtipping the delivery driver despite his tardiness. this was most certainly the best pizza i had ever had. the second time i ordered, i ordered half Market Street, half Greek pizza. it arrived over an hour after i ordered it, and the delivery kid called me because he couldn’t fathom where my room was. seriously? the Market Street half was kind of awful, but the Greek, was, again, out of this world amazing. if you’re patient and have a thing for Greek pizza, go for it. if not, try something else instead.

Bleh I had some friends over one night and we were all itching for some pizza. I look into my stash of pizza advertisements and find Pizza Fiesta’s über cheap deals. None of us had ever heard of this place but thought to give it a try. I’d say we would all agree that this was the first and last time we order from Pizza Fiesta. Why, you ask? 1. They take FOREVER. It took nearly an hour for them to deliver our pizzas. 2. Their«large» pizzas are actually medium. Perhaps we shouldn’t have told them we had a coupon. 3. Tastes like cheap pizza. The cheese tasted like cheaper than Kraft cheese. I like cheese, so this was a big negative. 4. Sparse toppings. Pizza Fiesta probably gives you the least amount of toppings of any pizza place I’ve ever been to. To their credit, it wasn’t the most horrible tasting pizza I’ve ever had. If I had ordered a medium pizza and expected it to get to me in an hour and didn’t use a coupon, it probably would have gotten more than 1 star.

Look, this place isn’t the best of the best, but it’s not the beast of the beast either. The pizza is good, and the staff is very nice. And, they go crazy with the cheese. If you want Cheeseboard, you need to go to Cheeseboard. But, if you just want some pizza on the cheap, this is a fine neighborhood spot.

After testing various delivery pizzas(I hate you, Extreme Pizza!), I came across Pizza Fiesta. Now whenever I need pizza asap, Pizza Fiesta gets a call from me(they are on my speed dial and have saved many a starved poker players when I host tournaments). The pizza is consistently great, always served SUPER hot, and it’s just plain tasty. Others are right, the hot wings are a little sketchy(sometimes you find the occasional feather still attached, ew!), but who the heck needs hot wings from a pizza joint? When you make it down to the restaurant and need a slice, they cook it for you hot, right there! So you never have to worry that you’ll get the last, old slice(can you say that Fat Slice?)

Decent pizza but it doesn’t heat up very well for the next day. Basic cheap pizza.

Cheap pizza, and quite frankly it’s pretty gross. Dirt cheap specials! They have a lot of different topping combos which is great for local broke college students! Watch out if there’s minced garlic on your pie because it’s super concentrated and intense. Their sauce and dough is noticeably sweet, but, they deliver free pizza to my department at work, so they get a decent review from me. I wouldn’t pay for pizza from here.

This place is pretty good. And cheap. And open late. And on the way to/from BART. 15 minutes and 15 bucks gets medium you a ‘supreme’ style pizza with crispy pepperonis, good green pepper, etc. Not greasy either. Seems like more toppings makes for a better pie. The sauce is on the sweet side, but not bad, just different. I like it. Haven’t gotten slices though, just whole pies. Both times were good. I’m thinking John H. went on a bad night.
