Horrible for wraps. They’re not stuffed enough and the variety is less than that from on campus wrap bars.

Vanilla latte, decaf, iced. Ordered it to go and didn’t realize that I’d apparently ordered from a UC Berkeley store.(The Den?) Seemed like this place took up half of the area. The other half was something forgettable… obviously. Would come back if I were in the neighborhood in need of a caffeine fix.

Peets, Peet’s, Peet’s… I’ve tried the cappuccinos, mochas, and lattes, and yet you still fail to meet my expectations– a decent coffee that’s not too sweet or bitter! After much hesitation, I decided to try my first and last new ice blended coffee, a Mocha Javiva, which I’ve seen displayed around the several Peet’s around this area(Seriously, how many is there?!), and alas, was way too sweet and with zero coffee flavor. It didn’t even taste like a mocha, but rather resembled a failed attempt at reinventing one of Starbuck’s frappuccinos. Even McDonald’s ice blended coffee would’ve tasted better than what I had received! I don’t know who comes up with these formulas, but they should really add more coffee or less milk to make it bearable. Until then, I’ll keep avoiding this place~

I didn’t want to bash them, I really didn’t, but after my little mishap yesterday, I have no other option. Let me, however say that they had done an okay job for the most part up to then; my mochas were always on point and I was a happy camper(any caffeine makes me happy, trust me it doesn’t take much to keep me satisfied!) Nonetheless, they took the cake yesterday. It was about 9 in the morning, it was unusually dead, I thought, hey! I’ll get me a good drink, they’ll take their time with it! Well. They took their time alright! I believe they were training the lady who was making my drink, so I remained calm and patiently waited for my drink but when she hands me my mocha, the damned thing looked like it had exploded! She filled it to the brim and it was literally dripping all over the place! She gave me an apologetic smile and told me to have a good day, while I just looked blankly at my drink and tried to figure out one of life’s most important questions: how the hell am I going to put a lid on this monstrosity?! And there I went, on my odyssey, attempting to put a lid on my mocha, while it continued to leak all over the place, when I decided to put my foot down and ask for a new one. This time around, the kind lady had left and was replaced with a bit of an impatient younger worker. She remade my drink, however when I got it, it literally tasted like boiled water: no trace of coffee(and I asked for 3 shots of expresso, mind you.) and was hands down, the worst«caffeinated» drink I ever tasted. I threw it out as soon as I could, and frustratedly proclaimed, «I will never step my foot inside that Peet’s again!» Therefore, I suggest my dear Unilocal friends, if you do ever come across this Peet’s make the effort and walk to one downtown or the one by Safeway. I guarantee you won’t be getting boiled hot water deemed coffee or what may have you there. The only reason it’s a two star is because the workers for the most part are extremely kind and always greet you with a good morning. Hey, at least they care!

Ok service depends on the time of day. Ahmed the manager is so very nice! I really like that they try to improve – the fruit water thing while waiting for your wrap is great. Coffee wise, it’s meh, but in my opinion better than GBC’s. For meal points, it’s pretty good.

This particular Peets is whatever. I’ve been here countless times and I’m never exactly amazed, but neither do I abhor it. Probably because of the location and proximity, I always think of this Peets for a quick fix in food and drinks. They sell various snacks including pizza, pretzels and sushi boxes. Furthermore, they have a small fridge containing various drinks. I always come to get a wrap on the side where you can get smoothies. The wraps are definitely satisfying, but nothing next to amazing for a price of $ 6.50. As for drinks, I feel like everyone has complained about either the sweetness or authenticity of the coffee .Even I, a person who doesn’t really complain about the quality of his drinks, have been frustrated at what I was drinking. I mean I did ORDER a matcha green tea latte, but I felt as if I was consuming black coffee with cream disguised by a deceitful green color. All in all, the Peets location is not terrible and the staff is extremely friendly, making it an option for a quick snack.

What’s the deal with peet’s coffee it’s like they put amphetamines in it, seriously though I feel it like 8 hours later. I like the people who work here though

So sad! As a regular customer I was shocked to be shunned when attempting to get –one– napkin before placing an order. After being asked«are you placing an order?» by an employee, «we can’t give away free stuff. I decided no. Really one napkin?! So sad Peets you’ve jumped the shark.

Great campus vibe, plus good coffee(what else) and wraps, smoothies, etc. which is more than most Peets. Never disappointed at Peets.

Peets is located in «The Den» outside crossroads. LIke other Peets, peets is known to have one of the strongest, rich, coffees of the coffee chains and is definitely a lot stronger than places like starbucks. If you want to stay up all night for that midterm, get a large cups of Peets. You’ll be up for 3 days. I usually stop by here in the morning to grab some breakfast and tea and this place gets pretty busy My major gripe about this place is the amazingly impossibly slow service. There were about 10 people in line and 3 people working, yet it took them forever to ring people up. Usually people are in a rush since everyone has classes in the morning but this place is extremely slow in the morning. They have a lot of pastries but I personally don’t think they are worth it. If you have meal points, this place accepts them so make sure to whip out your CAL1 card and use dem meal points here!

I love coming back to this Peets because it reminds me of my freshman year. I spent so much time in this Peets with friends, always making coffee and food runs here that when I pass by it, I’m tempted to stop inside for a quick drink. For me, the drinks are sometimes made in a rush. There is little consistency with the drinks so you don’t know if one day your mocha will be too sweet or too bitter. I usually just stick with a regular coffee so I know what I am getting into. Or if it’s hot I will order the green tea freddo, which is typically really good here and has never been made badly for me. However what keeps me coming back is the impeccable service. I don’t know what his name is, but the old man who is the manager I believe who sometimes works at the register is seriously the sweetest man ever! Whenever he sees me, he remembers me from freshman year and always asks how my classes are going. On more than one occasion he has given me a free pastry or a larger coffee for the price of a small, just because. Such a sweetheart! There’s also another lady who calls anyone and everyone beautiful, which just starts your day off right. Beware though, the lines can be crazy here. Tons of freshman swarm around this place since they have meal points… so plan accordingly!

Went to this place to get a drink to cool off from the hot day. The line was pretty long but that is okay since I went at a peak time. When I got up to the register I was greeted by a lady who seemed to be in the absolute most unpleasant mood. I can understand to an extent since it was busy but she made no effort to extend any pleasant customer service. So I quickly ordered a caramel macchiato with light ice. When I got the receipt I noticed that they charged me for a caramel macchiato and then charged extra for the caramel which didn’t make much sense since the drink should already have caramel. While waiting for my drink I saw the barista take the cup that was for my drink the then fill it to the brim with ice and showed the cashier and both laughed! Seriously?! When I customer asks for a slight modification on a drink you don’t do the complete opposite and laugh about it! Not good customer service. I also noticed that when they made the drink the barista put no caramel in the drink what so ever. This place is extremely rude and unprofessional. I paid around $ 4 for a cup of ice and milk with a little bit of coffee. The drink was so nasty that I through it away. There are plenty of other places to get Peets and also other places on campus to use your meal points. Don’t waste them here.

Ahhh Peets! Brings back memories of freshmen year!(: Lines are definitely pretty bad from time-to-time, so I’d suggest dropping by this place during off-hours. And if you’re on the way to class & in a rush, try Noah’s! Peets, however, is a good one-stop shop for a quick lunch(they have sushi platters, chicken teriyaki bowls, fruit cups, etc.), coffee, or even smoothies! Not bad for a quick refresher at the end of a long day– just make sure you’re not in a hurry!

When there aren’t thousands of first year UC Berkeley students around then this Peets is actually pretty good. I like the convenient location, but I was always strayed away from going because of the other students that seem to cause this location to have long lines. I got a caramel latte which was very good in my opinion. I’d definitely come again in hopes that I’ll hit an off time to not run into a long line.

I give this place a 4 because of the amazing customer customer. Every single Peets taste the same but the customer service always varies. The people here just really know how to brighten up your day. There’s Ahmed who’s just so sweet and always ask about you. He knows me by face so he always give me some extra pastries and always make sure I have a good breakfast. There Lamaar who is just hilarious and always brighten your mood by making jokes! There’s also a lady who tells you you’re beautiful to almost every person. You seriously can’t get better customer service than this. As for the coffee, it’s not bad. I always get the Caramel Latte or White Mocha. The quality is consistent every time. The Green Tea Frapp is one of my favorite drink. Can’t go wrong with this one if you need something refreshing to drink in the summer. The lines for this place is ridiculous in the morning because it’s next to Crossroads so I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re in a hurry for class.

Ridiculous lines, especially in the morning. The whole system of calling out«NEXT!» is terribly inefficient and I’ve found myself waiting 15 minutes to pay for my $ 1 apple. There’s also a clusterf— inconveniently by the only entrance/exit of people waiting for their order to be called. The sandwiches are hefty but not usually delicious. On the plus side, there are a few cashiers who are terribly warm and welcoming and generally can brighten your morning(which was previously sabotaged by the aforementioned ridiculous line)

I’ve come here a couple of times and have had pretty good service. I’m not a fan though when it is packed. Other than that they sell pretty much what other Peets sell, even holiday drinks. I like how there is seating outside so that you can have a conversation outside once you get your drink. They accept cash, meal points, and credit card.

Alright, this is the 3rd Peet’s that I’ve reviewed. there’s quite a few of them in Berkeley. So, this one I used to go all the time when I was still living in the dorms and could just use my student ID card and swipe for coffee or whatever else. So, it felt like it was free coffee all the time. I also liked the older man who worked at the cashier — never knew his name, but he was super friendly and remembered my orders. I became a usual. :o) So, 4 stars only b/c I swiped my dining points here; I wouldn’t come here to order drinks and expect to sit and chat. This place is mostly for Cal students living in dorms and ordering drinks to go.

This place is actually not so bad, minus the fact that my orders aren’t always right and the service can be slow. It’s run by mostly college students. I’ve even seen a sign indicating«cashier in-training,» which is as bad as having to drive behind a car with a sign that says«student driver!» Avoid or have patience. There often tends to be a lot of people, so there’s a greater chance for orders to get mixed up. But in terms of the menu: Peets — the white hot chocolate isn’t on the menu, but it’s pretty good. I particularly like the freddos, hibiscus iced tea, and white chocolate mocha(which I discovered by accident when I was given the wrong order). Sandwich side — you get a decent sandwich for the price you pay, ordered much the same way as at Subways, except on paper. It can be confusing for a newcomer because there’s no sign to indicate that you have to give your paper(order) to the Peet’s cashier before your sandwich is made on the sandwich side. Another thing that many people miss are the java boosts and the smoothies. The sign is up there, but not too many people order them. The Java Boosts are tasty. They’re cold though, so best to drink on a warm day. The merchandise is mostly a rip-off, but when you’ve got a ton of leftover meal points at the end of the semester, buy them early because those things disappear before the end of the semester!
