I Collect Seiko Diving Watches and sometimes they need adjustment, repair or battery replacement.
When they do I roll to Oaks Jewelers. Why you may ask ?
Because their resident Watch Repair Tech — Larry Moore — is a Seiko Watch Expert. Larry used to manage the Seiko West Coast Service Center in Oakland.
I’ve had Larry repair numerous Seiko’s over the years to great Satisfaction.

Just had a family diamond re-​set and was very pleased with the result, and the information and service to get to that point. Jeff was very helpful as were other staff. This is clearly a business in which everyone provides good customer service. The ring is beautiful!!!

Ailene is wonderful and very helpful. After my last experience at a watch shop, this place was a pleasant experience and is definitely my go to spot for watch repairs now.

I can’t say enough good things about Oaks Jewelers. My wife’s wedding ring came from one of the big chains, but I wanted to get my wedding band from someplace local. When I was a kid, Oaks Jewelers replaced a watch battery of mine for free, and that little act of excellent customer service brought me back 20 years later.
I was really impressed by everything about Oaks Jewelers — their customization process for helping find the perfect ring was actually much better/​more impressive than «designer» stores like Tiffany (check out the Oaks website section for helping you customize/​pick your perfect ring — major chain store websites aren’t even half as user-​friendly and helpful), and I ended up getting exactly the type of wedding band I wanted, very high quality, for a reasonable price.
The employees were nothing but nice — never pushy, just engaged and helpful. I highly recommend Oaks Jewelers for any men’s or women’s wedding rings — their selection is incredible and you absolutely cannot top their customer service.

Fantastic jewelry store with great service. Melissa was really helpful picking out and designing a ring, and she was great to work with. The ring was done early and came out beautifully. This is a great place to purchase an engagement ring, and I’ll be a repeat customer.

I came into Oaks based upon the wonderful reviews and I have to say they lived up to the hype in every way! I had my wife’s engagement ring designed here and the customer service was simply stellar… they worked with us on all the details, were very diligent with communication, and even gave a nice price break (on the engagement ring as well as my wedding band, which my wife purchased here). They are family-​owned and really place a high emphasis on the customer. Outstanding business!

I purchased an engagement ring here and Oaks Jewelers exceeded my expectations in every way!
I had a family diamond that I wanted to be fitted into a new ring. I came in with a picture printed out from the internet in the style ring I was interested in, and later that day Melissa sent me links to many options to choose from. From there models of the rings I liked were ordered to the store so that I could see them in person.
Once I picked out the ring I wanted they quoted me a price for the ring and mounting the diamond, as well as a date at which it would be done. Not only was the price almost half what I had budgeted to spend, the ring was also done in half the time they said!!!
My fiancée loved the ring, and when we went in together to get it sized Jeff was very helpful in ensuring we got the sizing just right. They even appraised the ring, offered to size it a second time if the first wasn’t just right, and gave us some jewelry cleaner all for free after I had already paid for the ring weeks prior!!!
Everyone there was so friendly, it truly couldn’t have been a better engagement ring shopping experience!

Superior service. I take all my watches here to be repaired and jewelry to be cleaned. For the smallest jobs, they routinely do not even charge you. When they do charge you, the prices are very reasonable and they do great work. A local treasure.

Wow!!! So i wandered in off the street with a broken watch. Simple fix, the chain came apart and I needed a chain removed to make it fit better.
The man behind the counter stops what he is working on. I thought maybe I would be told to come back in an hour or even the next day.
But no, he starts working on it. A couple minutes later he is finished. He proceeds to give me some advice and information on the watch that I was unaware of.
Then as I turn to walk out the door, I realize I did not pay! I turn to apologize and he says NO CHARGE!!! WOW how wonderful :)!!! Great service and for free!
Honest good company, I have never been there before, but will definitely be back :)! My new go-​to for jewelry and watch repair!

Entrusted Oaks with repairing and cleaning a necklace made by my late grandfather, after its chain broke. They did a lovely job.

I’ve been coming to Oaks for years for jewelry repair, renovations, and advice. Can’t believe a place like this exists — did I wander into a fairy tale? Their work is so good they must have elves in the workshop! Well maybe not, because the jewelers look like ordinary mortals though customer service is extraordinary — they are incredibly polite, helpful, and willing to spend time with you, whether it be for replacing a Timex watch battery or renovating a pearl necklace. I brought in some earring with dodgy clasps … good as new now, and, amazingly, no charge. Their prices are always reasonable, so I don’t bother with comparison shopping. I’ve got my daughter coming to Oaks now — adding her 5 star experience with them to mine = a 10 star rating. The grandkids’ ages are still in the single digits but I look forward to their buying their engagement and wedding rings from Oaks.

Great jewelry store with friendly, knowledgeable folks. They also have a very nice selection of modern wristwatches, and do watch repairs well also. Just bought a Citizen World-​Time Eco-​Drive watch there.

They do it all and they do it well. They replaced my watch batteries and straps and provided a specific earring back that I needed. Friendly and professional.

This is one of the best jewelers on the avenue. Actually they are the best. They are knowledgable, friendly, well priced and always super helpful. It makes you fee better that they are a family owned business and have been an institute on the avenue for my entire life. Anytime I need help, a repair or have questions I go there because I trust them.

Really friendly. Took an old ring in for repair. My ring was bent and missing a side stone. They were honest about the cost of the repair which was under $ 100. No surprise charges. I was told the repair would take up to 7 days and it took exactly 7 days. I was very satisfied with the results when I picked it up.

I’ve only been here couple of times to get my watch battery replaced. They were always super friendly, quick, and reasonably priced. Only $ 7 dollars to get my watch battery replaced! What a deal!

Best jewelers in the East Bay, easily. Customer service is always top notch, they are straightforward about the services they provide, and every job they’ve done for me has been done to perfection.
My sad, old watch recently died, poor thing. The gentleman who helped me at Oaks Jewelers was incredibly nice. He told me that it might be difficult to get the parts given the age of the watch, but that he would do his best. He gave me a quote significantly less than other jewelers I’d brought the watch to, and was apologetic that he couldn’t get the parts for less. He called me not once but twice (!!) to let me know when my watch would be ready, which was even sooner than he anticipated. When I got my fragile old watch back, it was as good as new.
Everyone here is sweet & professional, they are knowledgeable & happy to answer questions, and they seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. They are stellar jewelers, and I am officially a loyal fan!!!

Unique concept for a business… HONEST, FRIENDLY, just like the good ol days!

Stopped by to get a watch battery replaced, and remove a few links from the watch. $ 7 for the battery replacement, and $ 7 for taking out some links.
