PSA — Can’t buy booze from here until later in May. Their licence to sell booze has been suspended because one of the workers there was buying stolen cell phones from muggers, thieves and undercover law enforcement in the area. The store is cluttered and looks insecure. The bars on the windows keep bad people out and also keep the bad people in. «undercover agent for the state agency said the market employee purchased multiple iPhones that he was told by the seller were stolen. Agents found more than 20 cell phones at the market, many of which were stolen.»

This is the store where a clerk was recently arrested for repeatedly buying stolen cell phones during a surveillance operation. Detectives seized more than 20 phones at the time of arrest. It’s hard to believe that other store staff or even management did not know what was going on. Too many robberies nearby. How’s that for being a good neighbor; actively supporting your neighbors being robbed and mugged by buying their stolen phones from the people who robbed them. I hope their use permit and or liquor license get revoked. My gut always told me it was a sleazy place with shady undertones. Trust your gut!
