Lifted Barber Shop

I just left this barber shop with my 5 year old son and I must say they are awesome! First the logistics: street meter parking and they are next to the «Meal Ticket» restaurant (across the street from the dollar store). There are black fold out chairs out front.
The barbers were at lunch, but someone who was helpful let us know this, so we waited. When we came back we met the owner and talked with him, and Michael cut my son’s hair. My son is mixed (Latino and black) and we have struggled to find a barber. Michael was so professional! He talked to us about our son’s cut every step of the way. He asked how we wanted certain things and he would cut a little and then ask us if he was on the right track. He was gentle with our son and talked with him too. The cut was super fast 25 minutes max, and that’s only because our son’s hair was overgrown.
The vibe is cool too. There were people hanging out and eating and playing video games. They made real effort to watch their language and content while we were there and we really appreciated their professionalism. The prices are awesome: 15 kids and 17 adults and cash only. We were told that making an appointment is better if you don’t want to wait.
I highly suggest trying these guys out and then writing them an awesome review since they are relatively new on the scene. I will be taking my son back!

Not only do the barbers at Lifted Barber Shop give you an excellent haircut for a very good price, but they are exceptionally quick in doing it. I came in on a Saturday at 3pm when there was no line and was out the door by 3:20 with an excellent haircut. I recommend this shop to anyone in the Berkeley area looking for a barber, especially young men.

Great for youngsters, they do a great job, and it is a top place. The barber is a nice person, he not only knows how to cut hair, he gives nice advise :)

Got my first cut from this shop today. No complaints! The dude took his time and talked me through what i wanted. Barbers are chill, vibe is cool. The nice clean shop I’ve been looking for.

Excellent shop, I was really amazed by the amount of time they put into getting it right and making the customers happy. Barber did a great job on my hair, explaining all the options, making sure I was comfortable with what he was doing. Will definitely be going back.

Ever since I moved back to the Bay from Fullerton, I was struggling to find a great barber shop that knows how to cut hair, until now. The owner Robby is the best barber I’ve ever had. I told him what I wanted and he made it happen. I came out feeling like a million bucks.

The aesthetics of the shop are great and the barbers seemed cool. However, I just wasn’t impressed with my haircut. I felt the prices were kind of expensive. Granted, I’m from a different state where haircuts are significantly cheaper. When I got out of the chair, I could tell that my hair was uneven and I was disappointed with the haircut, but said it was fine because I didn’t want the barber to cut anymore. I could have cut my own hair for the results that got. Maybe the barber just wasn’t a good match for me, the overall experience had this awkward undertone.

Moving from LA to the East Bay, I was a little skeptical about finding the right barber shop. I passed by Lifted on my way home from the grocery store and stopped in only to be greeted by the rad décor and interior the shop had. Instantly I felt like the look was up to my standard. There was no wait for Efren to start cutting my hair and he even made a few awesome recommendations on the style that I let him proceed with. All in all, I was satisfied with the cut and $ 17 (plus a few extra for a tip) was right up my budget.

Got a great skin fade, and overall haircut looks great. Just as good, if not better than any of the barbershops I’ve been to in Oakland.

What a godsend! A local barbershop that has a nice interior, leather chairs, detailed barbors, and most of all great haircuts.

This place just opened and is new and clean.
The barber was good, asked me along the way what I wanted, normal chit-​chat without being forced or bleeding my ears.
And the haircut was great (approved by feyoncè).
Price was right too, $ 17.
