I miss this place. They had THE BEST coffee around. Self-​roasted right there in Berkeley and sold in stores around the Bay Area. We used to get it from Farmer Joe’s in the Dimond District. Black Opal! Mmmm… Seriously, no joke — THE BEST COFFEE. Come back to us, Kavanaugh!!!

I first saw a bag of kavanaugh beans at Berkeley Bowl a few months ago and decided to give it a try. Now I’m hooked.
The coffee buzz is one notch lower than the insanity that is Peet’s and I prefer the mellower taste.
When will the Kavanaugh shops start popping up?
