Handbag Factory Outlet

This place is great. I got my first Libaire bag at Nordstrom in San Mateo about 15 years ago. It was great, had just the right amount of pockets, and looked great for years. After about 6 years, something, I can’t remember what, broke on it and they repaired it for a minimal fee in a short timeframe.
After I had my first Libaire purse about 10 years, it started looking worn, and I went to the factory outlet and found and bought another purse, identical to the first, and I’ve been using that about 5 years and it still looks like new.
I also bought a large leather tote bag, which I used as an oversize purse when traveling, and that thing not only looks great, but it is so strong. I packed it very heavy, with my laptop, bottled water and some books, and it handles all of the weight just fine. Most bags would have loosened the strap with all that weight, but the Libare bag took it in stride.
I wish that I lived closer so I could go there more frequently. Unlike most «outlet» stores, this store’s merchandise looks perfect, yet was about one third less expensive than on the website.

I first came across these leather goods at Nordstrom in Corte Madera. Since I found the factory outlet, I’ve been coming here for years. I like to come during the holidays for stocking stuffers such as, coin purses, zip pouches of all sizes, colors & textures, and nicely lined to fit most anything such as makeup, SDHC cards, flash drives, iPhone earplugs, anything you need can think of that needs to be in one place. The amount for these items are great! The quality and workmanship of their items (great leather, lining, zippers and zipper pulls, stitches and designs) are great .Made right there. I like the purses with all the great pockets on some designs. I get compliments of my purses and inquiries of the pouches. The prices of the small items start at $ 5 and the purses/​messenger bags/​business cases/​backpack purses, etc. can run up to approximately $ 300 depending on size. If you like quality items, but don’t want to sport a luxury label, then these are great and will last a lifetime.
Just to let you know I also have a very large collection of Coach and Dooney & Bourke purses as well as these Libraire Leather collections.
I’m not a spokesperson that works for them, I’m just a faithful patron that believes in their products and most of all it supports our local businesses here in the Bay Area.

Also known as Libaire Leather, this place has been in Berkeley for over 25 years. The owners are fantastic, personable people who really take pride in their products. I come in here for classic, locally made products that are quality– My Mom has a bag from this outlet, my Grandparents have all recieved wallets and I own two bags (as does my partner).I feel it’s an absolute luxury to have this place in Berkeley, most items are made on site and it’s possible to get a beautifully made bag that will last you forever (and some for as low as $ 50). Support local business and get a deal on a bag that would cost 3 times as much elsewhere… it’s worth it.

I should have known better considering there weren’t any Unilocal reviews before I went. You are officially forewarned. This place was a complete waste of time. Overpriced leather bags with no style. Don’t even bother…
