Francesca Genco – Massage Therapist

I found Francesca through Unilocal when I was new in town and wanted to treat myself to a massage. The other reviewers were right! Grounded and attentive, Francesca is highly skilled in multiple modalities and she quickly adapted to my body’s particularities, allowing me to relax deeply. Now, whenever I want to feel grounded and renewed through massage, I call Francesca.

If you just need a back rub or relaxing massage, go ahead and go see any old masseuse. However, If you have an injury or disability, or a nagging pain that won’t quite, and are interested in REAL healing, you need to see Francesca. I have been seeing her for knee/​back issues for a couple of months (referred by my PT), and the results have been great. My IT band and lower back were both immensely tense/​tight, and she really worked them out. She’s a great person to see if you need more than just a massage — She has an in-​depth understanding of the body as a whole, and the best way to heal that works for you. I feel like I’m in perfect hands because she focuses on treating for overall wellness, and on top of that she can really dig in too!!! Oh and her studio is beautiful and relaxing as well. We often have great conversations — I fully recommend Francesca.

I was barely able to walk and not quite sure why. A previous knee injury was worsened by a fall few weeks earlier, but the other leg was not functioning and was painful — like all of a sudden. It felt like something else was going on but like I said, I wasn’t sure.
I was told that cranial sacral work might be good for me. I did some investigation of bodyworkers with that skill and from the reviews here and the tone of the website, I thought Francesca might be helpful.
I was leaving for vacation in less than a week, and had a bunch of other commitments that made it difficult to schedule a time. Francesca worked her schedule to make space for me, for which I am appreciative.
What followed was a huge healing for me. I felt very comfortable with her immediately and was able to go right to the source of the problem which was located in my body. Francesca guided me, comforted me, and moved the energy in my body in such a way that I was able to get up and walk after the session, with only a slight pain in my injured knee. It was amazing.
I continued to work with her after that and my knee improved as well.

Francesca is an excellent massage therapist who knows what she’s doing. She’s a little lady who can get BIG results. I was sceptical that she could resolve the tightness in my neck and shoulders because I’ve been to so many others to no avail. She knew just what to do and I’m relieved and a very satisfied customer. I recently had some bodywork done with Francesca and it was a great experience. I have serious TMJ problems due to stress that have left me frustrated and desperate for help when my jaw gets locked. I’ve tried acupuncture, ibuprofen, etc. and Francesca was the first time I actually had hope that I could get rid of my TMJ.
Let me tell you that when I have gone to her I’ve had specific issues in my shoulders, neck, under my skull, and in my armpit area and she treated it all in one session. The massage was both relaxing and invigorating as she seemed to find the exact spots of the source of the pain and tightness. Granted, I need to do a lot of work to keep the muscles relaxed since she released alot of the tension, but it was such a relief to have her treat me and I would recommend it to anyone.
Note: When I went to her I had a lot of questions during the massage, so we talked a lot during the process. I’ve also had a session with her that was more of the classic relaxing music-​type ambiance so she can adjust the treatment to whatever your preferences are.

I have had lots of massages over the years, but Francesca is the best. My view of massage is that if it isn’t deep it isn’t worth the time. Francesca goes deep and separates and loosens tight knots of muscle and other tissue. She has a wide knowledge of body work that she brings to bear on the massage table. I am very happy to have found her, and heartily recommend her.

I went to Francesca for the first time recently. I’ve been having a lot of stiffness due to the amount of time I spend in front of a computer and the limited time I spend exercising. I’ve also had a lot of pain in my elbow from chronic tendonitis. I thought she was exceptional. Her setting is idyllic, her method excellent and the results are awesome. My elbow has been pain free and I just booked another appointment. I can’t recommend her highly enough and I’m extremely picky when it comes to parting with my hard earned money for these types of luxury services.

I was visiting friends in town and decided after a bit of traveling and working i really needed a massage, so i called Francesca and she saw me only a few hours later! I had some serious knots in my lower back, being that i am 5.5 months pregnant. I already saw a chiropractor, and i was still suffering from a muscle strain.
Francesca did absolutely everything to make sure I was comfortable-​propping me up on pillows to the point of feeling weightless. Plus her massage setting is very relaxing and clean.
I’m feeling so much better, but hope to call her again on my way back thru town!

Francesca is absolutely the best massage therapist I’ve ever experienced. I do a lot of computer work and experience back and neck tightness as a result. I would describe what Francesca does for me as «assisted yoga» for my muscles and joints. Since Francesca has started working on me every other week, I no longer need to call for «emergency» appointments; I feel

I sprained my ankle pretty badly and my body was totally out of sorts from wearing a protective boot on it for many weeks. I went to see Francesca for a 90 minutes session and felt so much better. She enhanced the mobility in my ankle; helped my hip; and more!

OK, I didn’t just have a massage from Francesca, though I have had many in the past. I did however just have a massage (it was a decent one) at Azul Spa and it made me yearn for my next Francesca massage. No one gets quite as deep as Francesca does. As David said, she is an incredible massage therapist. I recommend 90 minutes of deep tissue at your earliest convenience.
