Diana Stork

I was delighted to work work with Diana. She had so many great suggestions for our wedding — not just for the music, but also other details related to the ceremony — that getting her for our wedding actually made things easier for us! She helped out with some of the details of the procession, and she was kind enough to provide us with an extra microphone for our officiant to use.

I met Diana at her home where she played some harp pieces for us. As soon as she started playing I knew it was her music I wanted to have at our wedding. Diana has quite a varied repertoire, though we chose to go mostly with Renaissance and traditional English music. We had her play one of her own compositions (Wedding bells) as our recessional. However, we also wanted to some Chinese music in there since my wife is Chinese. Fortunately, we were able to send Diana some Chinese guzheng videos, and she learnt how to play one of them on the harp.

It’s unfortunate that as the groom I wasn’t able to hear most of her performance myself, but I later heard everyone very much enjoyed it :-)

Diana is so wonderful to work with! We wanted a harpist for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and I searched all over for one. I found her through google so I thought I’d write a review on Unilocal to help fellow Unilocalers find her. She’s from Berkeley, but drove all the way to Cupertino for our event. Everyone enjoyed her music very much, and it just made everything that much more elegant. She’s also reasonably priced and reliable. And personally, I think harps produces better sounds than violins or string quartets. A+!
