Dan Peven loves what he does and he is an excellent trainer. He is strong and healthy and he can help you become that way too. Dan is very encouraging and he pushes, but not too much. I have not seen him work with others, so I can’t say for sure, but I think he is one of those people who is very good at meeting others right where they are at. I could see him working for a wide variety of personalities and physical abilities. The kettlebells are fun, you can knock out a workout with them quickly and they make me feel strong. Z-health is brilliant and I really respect Dan for combining the two. I don’t totally understand Z-health, so I can’t really explain it. I was much more interested in kettlebells too start. After experiencing both, I see how important Z-health is for supporting the kettlebell work. Dan stays very present and focused during our workouts. Of course, when he is most centered my mind wanders off to Mr. Miyagi and Danielson. You see, I am not the best student, but Dan stays patient and kind. Most importantly, with very little effort on my part and loads of chocolate and other naughty foods, my figure is slowly emerging. If it weren’t for those training sessions, I might not be able to find my ribs!

I’ve worked with Dan Peven, a Certified Kettlebell Trainer, at CS Fit for almost a year and couldn’t be happer. My strength and athletic performance, not to mention my mobility, is above and beyond what I ever expected. Dan combines the power of Russian kettlebell weight training with the brilliance of Z-Health, an exercise program designed to re-train the nervous system for maximum performance and pain-free movement. His demeanor is positive, encouraging, and motivational; he is never condescending. That went a long way with someone like me, who could never take instruction from those holier-than-thou, elitist, fitness junkie-type trainers. Before training with Dan, the most movement I ever did was the occasional month-long yoga kick and a good hike every few weeks. Then I took up rock climbing and quickly realized I needed to step up my game if I ever wanted to improve. Dan paid attention to my fitness goals and designed a program for me that not only built lean, toned muscle in my legs, arms, and abs, but actually diminished some minor elbow pain I had developed from intense climbing. I also have to mention that with all of that core strength training, my butt looks great too. :) I’ve never considered myself«strong» or «an athlete,» but Dan insisted from the beginning that I’m both. And now I believe him!
