Location: Terrible. Street parking is limited and the structure parking is expensive. Be prepared to fork out some changes. The office does not validate parking!
Wait: I had an appt but had to wait 40 minutes to see the doctor
Doctor: Good. In and out quickly.
Office: looks like it hasn’t been remodeled since 1980
Staff: Need to prioritize better.
Overall: I’m finding another doctor

I have been going to this doctor office since I was 5 years old (I’m 38 now), when Dr. McLaughlin was in practice with my original doctor, Dr. Jauregui (who is now retired). I had seen Dr. McLaughlin many times as a kid and into my teens, and then when Dr. Jauregui retired many years ago, I chose to have Dr. McLaughlin as my primary doctor.
I moved from Berkeley to the San Jose area 10 years ago, but I STILL keep Dr. McLaughlin as my doctor because of how much I like him as a doctor! He is very attentive, genuinely concerned when there is any issue at all if I am not feeling too well, and will question about something that happened a year ago if you haven’t been back and forgot to give him an update. He does NOT ever, ever make you feel like you have to hurry up because he has another patient to see, even though he’s a very busy guy. He gives you the correct medicines, makes the correct diagnosis’, and he actually CARES about and respects his patients.
I cannot even try to convey how much I respect him as a doctor, and enjoy going to him when I have problems. I will NOT go to any other doctor unless absolutely necessary. Dr. McLaughlin is awesome, especially if you are a migraine person!

I have, what some have called, white coat syndrome. I get very nervous around doctors and they regularly have to check my bp 3 times till it gets back to normal.
I’ve had some really terrible experiences with doctors in the past and it was such a relief to find Dr McLaughlin. He’s very sweet but not in a patronizing way. He makes me feel comfortable, he treats me with respect and he never makes assumptions about my lifestyle. These attributes are hard to find in a doctor these days so I give Dr McLaughlin the highest recommendation.
Perfect for anyone who’s had bad experiences with doctors. Probably perfect for just about anyone looking for a great General Practitioner.
