Walked here to try to watch the end of the Warriors Playoff game at 2:30pm on a Saturday. First off, there is no sign that says«Albert’s Sports Lounge,»(note that it is inside King Tsin Restaurant) which was very confusing. When I finally entered the restaurant I was told that the bar was closed until 4:30 when it clearly says 10am to 10pm and«we open early for major games» on their website. This was particularly inconvenient as the next closest establishment with a TV is the Albany Taproom on San Pablo so we ended up missing all but the last few seconds of the game. PLEASEUPDATEYOURWEBSITE!

The good: food, service, but most importantly, clientele. Good crowd here, nice mix of people. The meh: so-so prices, TVs aren’t high def. The bad: I’m not a cocktail person, but from what I’ve heard, just don’t bother with anything beyond a rum and coke. Finally, as to the guy who complained about how they wouldn’t let his kid in to watch a game: it’s the law, man. Do you know how much the fine is if they get caught? And yes, police will absolutely sting bars by sending in a «father and son, just trying to watch the game.» I’ve even seen it happen.

This place may be a lounge/bar, and may have TVs that show sports, but it is certainly not a «sports lounge.» If you are looking for a place to actually watch a game, I’d suggest going someplace that has HD TVs and plays audio from the sporting events rather than Greatest Indie Rock Hits of the 2000s(which is sorta weird in itself for a Chinese restaurant). Good food, though!(but crappy service).

Albert’s Sports Lounge is inside King Tsin Restaurant.(Just wanted to clarify that since I was briefly confused.) I watched the Ravens-Eagles game here last weekend and had a blast. Lots of vegetarian and vegan dim sum options, solid selection of beer and mixed drinks. Friendly staff and fast service, too. I will definitely be back. Soon.

A-holes wouldn’t let my son and I watch the second half of the USA Olympic soccer game. Never had been there before. Didn’t know it was a restaurant. And what’s the big problem with having a kid in a bar for one freaking hour to watch an Olympic game and the bar was empty. Not like we were taking up space for beer drinkers!. Im sure if i had spent $ 100 bucks on food they wouldve let us stay! Never go there again. I’m sure of it.

Great environment! Eight delicious beer on tap and a great selection of DIMSUM… YUM! The people that come here are fun, friendly and open minded as well as the staff. A wonderful place to come and unwind and catch your favorite sports casting on one of the four TVs.
