What a fun, nostalgic and affordable experience! Movie tickets are only $ 3.75 for adults and all the concessions are afforable at $ 1 for pop and $ 4 for a tub of popcorn. Which is still popped the old fashioned way and actually topped with melted butter! The downside is that since it is an old theater, the red leather seats are not comfortable for anyone who has long legs. Although that can be remedied with a fifty cent rental of the several couches that are available. It was also fun because the theater was packed. It is great to hear the laughter and reaction of a theater full of people — an experience you rarely get at a megaplex unless it is the midnight opening of a mega film.

Great experience! After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I had to check the Stars movie theater out. Super friendly stuff: after me n my dad got our popcorn, which was unbelievable, the guy ran w/the napkins after us… You can’t beat the prices: adult ticket at Sat night is $ 3.75. Large soda is $ 1, largest popcorn Is $ 3.75. Red«leather» seats, and sofas(yes — sofas) in place of broken seats in places. One of a kind! You have to check it out if in the area. I will definitely go back whenever I come back yo visit.

I don’t care what movie is playing — do not miss a chance to go to the Star Movie Theater. They play one movie — once on Friday and once on Saturday night in this depression era movie theater. A lot hasn’t changed — they still use the old popcorn machine(which makes the best popcorn ever. Seriously.) and red leather seats. However, some of the old seats were too broken to fix, so the owners replaced them with couch. So for fifty cents extra, you can get an whole couch to yourself. And yes, it is SO worth it. So. For abut $ 4 for a ticket, $ 2 for popcorn, $ 1 for a soda and $ 1.50 for Snowcaps, you can enjoy a current(few weeks past first run) movie. Make time. You won’t regret it.
