We’ve lived in this area for 7 months now and I’ve been wanting to visit this place since! We just visited last night and it was everything I had hoped for. It was my birthday, and they were so catering to us, making sure we had a great time. We enjoyed sharing the Caprese as an appetizer– so refreshing. I’m addicted to mozzarella and basil though so I’m partial. :) My fiancé had the Chicken Pesto Pasta and it was delicious! I had a bite and can back that up! I enjoyed the scallops. They were cooked to perfection! I could have eaten more but was satisfied. We split a piece of homemade cheesecake made with cognac, lemon zest and cranberries– ah, spectacular. We also sipped wine the entire time. It was the best birthday treat! It was expensive but if you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy yourself, have a great dinner and drink or two, this is the place for you!

Was finally afforded the opportunity to take my family to Petit Bistro. Loved our experience and the food was phenomenal! Started with two appetizers. The Salmon Mousse and Tuna Tartar. I could have stopped there and been satisfied, but all off our entrees were equally superb. The ambiance reminded me of one of my favorite Eateries in Larkspur, CA. Bentonville’s Gem in my book.

Le Petit Bistro was une grande disappointment. Ambiance was nice — looked like a small house converted into a restaurant. The menu looked appetizing if a bit on the high side for this area. My wife and I like to splurge on a nice meal on occasion, so decided to stop in. We ordered two specials, my wife had sea-bass and I had the strip steak. Her fish and couscous were okay but a bit under-seasoned and the vegetables were over-cooked and over-buttered. It was a solid average dish, but not worthy of its $ 39 price-tag, in my opinion. I should have questioned the«truffle butter» on my steak when it was described. Alas, I regretted my rookie oversight as soon I could smell the unmistakable cloying aroma of truffle-oil…even before the plate was set down. The strip steak was cooked to a proper temperature, but was not a quality piece of meat. It, too, was under-seasoned, though it was difficult to tell through the punch-you-in-the-face truffle oil. The crab-cakes on the side were okay, and probably the best thing on my plate, but that bar had been set low. The potato side-dish was inedible. I took a taste and it was cold(not just not hot, but actually cold), greasy, and had an almost rancid flavor. My wife saw my face and tried a bit out of curiosity and described it as an almost ammonia flavor. Her comment was«floor cleaner?» The waiter, to his credit, offered couscous as a substitute when he oddly asked, «is your food… edible?» Our meal consisted of the two mains and two soft-drinks and rang up to an impressive $ 120! Sorry Le Petit Bistro — you had so much promise! Little bistro. Big bill. Bigger disappointment.

I was very disappointed with this place which makes me sad bc I had high hopes. Hubby and I came here for date night, he had the blackened swordfish which was over cooked and I had the filet. Now I will say the filet was correctly cooked but was cut into. Anyone who has any culinary training knows you do not cut into the filet to check if it’s done. The Rosemary potatoes were not fresh. We also ordered some bread and it was burned. Our waitress Precious said«it’s the taste of the grill.». It tasted as if the grill hasn’t been cleaned in a while. I also feel if I’m going to drop a Benjamin for supper, bread should be free, the napkins shouldn’t be paper and the air conditioner should be on.

Unfortunately not worth the price. The location and décor is nice but the atmosphere and staff are fairly unprofessional(pop music playing, staff congregating and joking loudly behind the bar, playing with their phones). Considering the limited menu, you’d expect high levels of quality and innovation, but you’d be disappointed. The Spinach Pear salad($ 9) was lackluster and could have been seen served equally well at many mid level restaurants. The Lebanese Lamb Chops($ 32) were described as mint and garlic infused, but unfortunately if those flavors were indeed there, they were overpowered by a great deal of pepper. It was also undercooked. The Chateaubriand Shiitake Pasta($ 24) was nice but the flavors were heavy and not terribly refined. Also the mushrooms were not freshly made for the dish, and the dish as a whole looked nothing like the picture on their website. It was more reminiscent of an Olive Garden plate with very little color and variation in flavors or presentation. UPDATE: So I gave this place another shot. My 2 girlfriends and I went for dinner and were very pleased. The brie appetizer was lovely, the swordfish was excellent. My friends were happy with the food, although the atmosphere is still not comparable to the prices. I increased the stars from 2 to 3, as I still believe the prices are a bit high for what you get considering the whole experience, but it’s a nice niche place for the area since high quality dining is scant around there.

My wife and I started with the grilled brie which was good but like some other bloggers mentioned, could have used fruit instead of the candied nuts. I felt the nuts didn’t contribute to the good flavor of the cheese and grilled bread pieces. My wife had the Coho Salmon and said it was very good. I had the Lebanese lamb chops and they were OK but lacked the intense Mediterranean flavor I was expecting but the four small lamb chops were good. Two negatives: 1) even though there is a ramp next to the entrance steps they don’t lead to the restaurant leading to the outdoor eating area instead which was not good for my wife who has issues going up steps(so the restaurant is not handicap friendly) and 2) I took the Napoleon dessert to go and was disappointed when I ate it back at the hotel. It was more like a square cream puff than a Napoleon. Yes, the top and bottom were flaky but in between there was whipped cream instead of custard and it had powdered sugar all over instead of the typical glaze I am used to. If we lived in Bentonville I’d give it another try and see if the cheesecake is as good as touted but we don’t and in the next couple of days we are trying other places.

Excellent service ! Portions are perfect size — no leftovers. Fresh ingredients — we look forward to going again! I could tell several tables were regulars. My husband enjoyed the beer options. Highly recommend going! Definitely worth the drive.

Great atmosphere, good service… Food was well presented but as some of the other reviews mentioned a little lackluster or bland… Real shame given the rest of the elements are great. We’ll give it another shot to be fair but didn’t rock it tonight.

Had a reservation on a Friday night. Great atmosphere sat outside. Server took a while to take our drink order. We were a party of six about 20 minutes after our server took our food order, she informed us they were out of pizza(5 of the 6 of us had ordered different pizzas). Then 15 minutes after retaking our order the server came back to tell us that they were out of scallops(one person in our party had ordered it) Had the chicken pesto pasta it was very bland(2 of us had ordered it since the pizza was out and each order of the pasta looked different. Would maybe go back for a drink but probably not the service didn’t even make up of for the food they ran out of.

I never think about this place much. So last Friday was only our third visit. But the food has been excellent every time. We both ordered the special: honey glazed salmon with lamb lolo’s and some tasty sides. It was plenty of food! We both raved to each other about how much we loved the meal. If you know Petit Bistro, you know how close together the tables are. Well, before we left, almost everyone was ordering or eating the special. The service was great. If you didn’t have to sit on top of each other I would give the place five stars.

I love trying new places! This week my wife and I decided to try Petit Bistro. The décor was absolutely gorgeous. It felt like a warm, cozy home with great personality. We were seated promptly and our server was attentive throughout the night. Their wine menu is not extensive, as others have mentioned but they do have a full bar. We ordered the grilled brie as our appetizer. It was delicious! The honey and toasted nuts were a nice compliment to the grilled brie. I do think they could have added more nuts or a tart fruit to compliment the brie. Nonetheless, it was scrumptious. For our main entrée, we ordered the pork shanks and the steak au poivre. The pork shanks fell off the bone and were pretty tasty. They did need more sauce though. The steak au poivre was uneventful as well as the temperature was off(I asked for medium and received medium-well). The steak had no pop, no zing, it was sadly bland. The vegetables, which were the same for both entrees, were mushy. Overall, I enjoyed the décor more than I enjoyed the food. The food was inconsistent and unfortunately not worth the cost.

Amazing food & décor, excellent service. We got a reservation for 8:00PM on a Saturday night. Décor is very classy, menu is extensive, wine list isn’t huge but has great selection, full bar. We had grilled brie for appetizer, then braised meats for dinner: osso bucco(24 oz) and pork shanks. Osso bucco was enormous, served with grilled vegetables and potatoes. The meat completely fell off the bone, no knife required, very flavorful. Pork shanks were served with the same vegetables, with sweet plum sauce, meat also fell off the bone. For dessert we tried the Napoleon and their special — pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust. Now I’ve had cheesecake many times, but theirs was out of this world. We raved about it so much that they introduced us to the girl who makes all their desserts. Dinner was pricey but definitely worth it. Our server was attentive and pleasant. We can’t wait to go back, and would love to be there in nice weather to sit outside.

Excellent food and great service. We got the grilled Brie as a app; it was delicious but I think it could be amazing if they would add cranberries, even dried would be great. Also, earlier reviews comment on the portion sizes being small. Our server addressed this complaint and told us the chef has increased the sizes, which is pretty cool. I can’t confirm whether this is true because I don’t know the previous sizes, but I can attest that my date and I split the pork — it was 24oz.

I really enjoyed coming here for dinner because the food was good as well as the décor. It looks almost like a cabin turned into a restaurant. I would love to come here in the summer and be able to enjoy a little bit of the outdoors. I wish I reviewed this place earlier so that I could provide a more descriptive review of the food, but unfortunately I don’t remember. On the flip side it definitely wasn’t bad or I wouldn’t remembered that :) I heard the bread pudding was the best, but the crème brûlée is good too!

Excellent meal, great service. Well worth the visit. Sit On the rear deck if you get the chance. A little traffic noise, but interesting to sit and think that this was a 1905 homestead. Ask about the history of the smokehouse.

I came for dinner on the recommendation from a peer. My experience wasn’t as positive as I had hoped for due to how they talked up the restaurant. Here’s why… 1. With 2 other tables occupied it took over 10 minutes for the waitress to approach us with menus. We asked for water. 2. Upon receiving a menu, it took another 10 minutes to receive our drinks and then our orders were taken. We asked for water again during this time. 3. Upon ordering,(the waitress had yet to bring any water). I hadn’t finished my order before she walked away. I had to call her back over to finish the order when she replied, «but I’m getting your water…». 4. With the prices we paid, the food should have been full of flavor but it came out really bland. 5. Portion size… horrible. 6. My wife had to flag down the waitress for a second glass of wine — that took 12 minutes(I timed it) with now 3 tables filled in the restaurant. I walked out hungry and extremely dissatisfied. I have not been back although my wife has and had a much better experience.

Had reservations at this quaint little place for Valentine’s Day. BUSY is an understatement and for that, the service seemed really slow but they made up for it in the food. Started the night off with mussels basquaise. Very good and a lot of them. Dipping the bread in the sauce was good as well. I enjoyed a grilled coho salmon with dill and bell remoulade over israeli cous cous with sauteed spinach and my husband had a bone in ribeye with grilled squash and sliced new potatoes. Others were raving about the lebanese lamb chops and blackened swordfish. I see the other reviews complaining about portions. I guess to what most restaurants serve, it is smaller but definitely not too small for one to eat and be satisfied. Chew slower is the only advice I could give them. I suppose they believe price should equal quantity. Sorry, more about quality here. I am looking forward to going here for special occasions and enjoying the outdoor dining when warm weather rolls around. The wine selection was nice. I’d push to four stars had the service not been so slow. I’m hoping that was an isolated thing due to the«special» holiday and being packed with reservations. NOTE: Make a reservation.

Small portions but great food. Lunch was very reasonably priced. I really enjoyed it.
