If you’re interested in a quality product that is matched by quality customer service, please look elsewhere. Seriously, look absolutely anywhere else because I doubt someone could give such poor customer service unless they were really trying. After purchasing online two DS100 lights that were in good condition, I got a third that was obviously damaged and/or a previously returned item. When I called to return the product and take advantage of their«NOHASSLERETURNPOLICY» a customer service representative named KYLE answered the phone. This of course is after ignoring my first two calls for a week. He was angry, nasty and generally very condescending. He laughed at my mention of a «NOHASSLERETURNPOLICY» and yelled, «Read the Terms and Conditions!» He then proceeded to tell me that most of his customers are trying to de-fraud the company by claiming damaged items when really the customers are the ones that have almost always caused the damage. It was he, and his company who would decide if I was at fault and would get my money back. Really? So you don’t stand behind the quality of your product upon delivery? If there’s a broken item you automatically assume your customer broke it? The kicker is that he said if I wanted to return the item, first I’d have to ship the light back to them ATMYEXPENSE, and only if they deemed that they were at fault would they give my money back for the light. Otherwise I get no money back at all? Once I became a bit upset at his tone and the way he was treating me, he said, «Do you know how old I am? I’m a 45 year old man, buddy!» As if his age somehow matters in how he treats a customer? I’m 40. Does that matter here? I’m not happy, and feel that I got burned because I decided to buy lights from a company I had never worked with. One that none of my scientist friends have had any interaction with. I thought I could trust their reputation due to some reviews I saw online, but obviously you shouldn’t believe everything you read on the web. Please live and learn from my mistake and don’t blow $ 1000 on LED lamps that come backed by truly horrible customer service and A VERYHASSLINGRETURNPOLICY.
