La comida está rica, tiene mucho detalle y esmero pero no es auténtica Mexicana, muy buena salsa y el cosinero que casi siempre atiende las mesas es muy agradable. El lugar siempre está muy limpio. Pero! Las porciones son muy chicas o poco para los precios, en un taco solo le ponen 40% de carne

06÷02÷16 HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Per their menu, Thursday is $ 1.50 Taco Day for grilled steak and ground beef tacos. We called and placed our order for the $ 1.50 taco deal for pick up. We were not advised of the additional .75¢ for lettuce and .75¢ for tomatoes per taco, as the tacos only come with cilantro and cheese. We were not advised that we had to say specially we wanted the $ 1.50 taco deal (which we did)…As there are 2 different taco sizes. When we challenged the total, that is when we were advised of all of the extras, and that we did not specifically request the $ 1.50 tacos. BS… He (the mgr) went on to say «you can’t get everything for free» in a very nasty tone. No, I don’t expect to get anything for free. However, I’ve never purchased a taco that did not have lettuce and tomato. And upon taking the order, you should have advised of the extra charge. He goes on to say, it’s printed on the menu. NO, IT IS NOT!!! Then, this unprofessional a$$hole said, «do me a favor, don’t ever come back here again». Oh, I won’t, neither will my co-​workers, and you can have your tacos, and void the charge on my card. Then, he (the mgr) says «the sale cannot be cancelled». My response «Either you cancel my transaction or the bank
will. My transaction was voided.

We stopped by in Mother’s Day after a long day to celebrate with three awesome moms and several kids. As the majority of our party of 8 was vegan the owner went out of his way not only to create dishes not on the menu but to go purchase several items on the spot to make a custom vegan meal for all of us. The Agua Fresca was delicious and worth coming back — just for that! Delicious rice with corn and okra, enchiladas with mushrooms and spinach, fresh made guacamole with perfect blend of lemon and jalapeños and much more. Thank you for a delicious end to a fun day!

I eat Mexican food for lunch all over the Chicago metro area. This is probably the best place I’ve eaten. They have amazing pre prepared specials like roast pork loin and rib eye (all in taco form). The chef is truly a talent.

I was disappointed with the food. The meat was fatty and everything was unpleasantly spicy. I can handle spicy food; but this was so hot that it was not enjoyable.

Went here for lunch bc it’s near mine and my boyfriends job. We were so happy with our choice! We both ordered a chicken tinga and a chorizo and potato taco and split an order of rice and beans. The chorizo and potato was our favorite. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. I wouldn’t mind more for dinner hahah. The tinga was good, but it wasn’t anything special. The place was empty minus one other patron when we were mid meal. I’m sure we’ll be dining here again bc it was so good! Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture but next time I sure will.

This is the best restaurant in Bensenville, hands down.
This is one of those places that makes me believe in Unilocal.I never would have found it otherwise. It’s tucked away in a strip mall and an easy miss, but so worth stopping in.
The chef is fantastic and creative, always coming up with something new. The coconut shrimp tacos with blue corn tortillas are amazing. The enchiladas are also great. Definitely get the fresh guacamole.

Food is very tasty, although it doesn’t feel like an authentic Mexican restaurant. Just seems to be a Mexican cuisine menu with an American twist. I usually order main dishes and my food looks and tastes like expected– But when I ordered the Guacamole from the appetizer section, it looked like nothing I’ve seen. I basically received two avocados cut up in cubes combined with a lot of pico de gallo. As many times as I ordered guacamole from numerous different Mexican spots, I’ve always received it whipped up and easy to scoop with a tortilla chip. I basically needed a a fork to eat this one.

The special tacos are what bring me back here. The short rib tacos are good as well as some of the others they have had in the past. They are served on a blue corn tortilla. The ahi tuna taco was good but could have been presented better than a misshapen square trying to fit in a tortilla. The flavor was good but trying to wrangle the tuna in it ended up tearing the tortilla. I also got the chipotle lobster bisque. Had a great taste and subtle spice. Only issue was instead of using lobster they used bits of shrimp. Place is very clean and wide open during lunch hours. Eating in gets some chips and salsa that are very delicious. Worth the visit.

So glad to find this place near the airport. Portions are generous. The large guacamole was enough for 10! We are from Austin and used to getting good Mexican food — this was on par. Will definitely return next time we are in town.

OUTSTANDING PLACE… I work in the area and have been to plenty Mexican restaurants nearby and they have poor quality food/​look inside this place is very clean very comfortable very sanitary food is amazing and also professional …

Came here during the week as the reviews seemed better than anything around.
Waitress seemed like she was just going through the motions no smiles no interaction, maybe she was tired?
The main reason for leaving the review is I saw 3 tacos for five dollars. So I ordered three steak tacos.
When they came I instantly noticed that the steak didn’t even cover my tortilla top to bottom. Most, if not all places do this. To make matters worse one was significantly short as if the cook didn’t gauge the portion correctly and just tossed what remained on from the first two on the last one.
Steak was good quality, however when you wrap about 2oz of steak with 2 tortillas. I expect to not struggle to taste the meat.
Sure maybe I was jipped due to the lunch special
WRONG they charged normal price because the lunch special uses a «different meat and different tortilla»
So cheaper and bad quality ingredients, YIKES.
Overall was not too thrilled about this place

This place sucks I just ordered 12 tacos de asada and 8 de pastor and I don’t know how the girl taking the orders gave me 8 al pastor tacos and 1 steak like really last time I’m going to this POS RESTAURANT TO KILL IT OF THE TACOS SUCKED

Great place! I come here all the time. The food is amazing. The first time I came here they were closing and they stayed open just to feed me. This place is great for all.

Great place for lunch ($ 1 tacos & $ 5.99 for ½ chicken meal) and surprising choices for dinner. I had the Tilapia al Mojo de Ajo and was pleased when the chef took care of my special request. I was also happy to be able to catch a World Cup match while drinking an Indio beer!!!

This place is absolutely wonderful. Don’t let the location of the restaurant fool you. The steak tacos were amazing. They also have specialty tacos daily and they are delicious. Don’t pass up the crab cake tacos. (Specialty tacos come in blue tortilla) the sauce they put in those specialty tacos were something else!!! It’s under new management now, and we got a chance to meet him and he was such a delight. You can tell he has passion! Do not pass this restaurant up. You honestly can’t beat the prices too.

I love this place. They have tons of vegetarian options and do them well. Rare for Mexican restaurants. Sometimes they overdo the lime in the guacamole but other than that, I have loved everything I’ve ordered. The service is always prompt which I appreciate since I’m always working. It’s in a strip mall with a shared parking lot. The only negative is the TV.

My review would be a solid 5 stars based on the creativity of what is usually a pretty standard menu, but several factors detracted from my being able to love, love, LOVE this place.
Although they were not really busy, sit-​down service was slow. The lettuce in my taco salad was less-​than-​fresh and should have been tossed in the morning’s food prep and replaced with fresh lettuce rather than try to stretch it out for one more day. And at 2pm, they were out of flan, which made me really sad.
Everything else was great… and in the last place I would think to look for a great dining experience — a strip mall. Definitely try the Mi Tierra tacos — steak, chorizo and cactus, and their Cubana torta — ham and pineapple.
I totally would give them another try and hope to up my rating then.

I’ve been here a couple of times…
I like their express lunch choices, affordable $ 3.99.
I ordered the 2 Carnitas (Pork) taco meals. Corn tortilla no choice of flour. You also get rice and beans, fresh limes toppings cilantro and onions. On the side two fresh made salsas, mild and a bit spicy. Over all pretty good place for a quick bite to eat.
Pro:
–Food taste like it’s made from scratch
–If you dine in, they seat you and serve you.
–Free chips and salsa dine in only.
–They play Mexican Music and there’s a TV
Con:
–Sit down service is slow like molasses…
–Space is small on a strip mall
–They leave the door open when it’s warm and notice bees come in, ick!
Overall…I’d go back but take out for lunch, maybe I’ll try dinner next time.
