idk what has happened with apollo’s i was a big customer and lately the food went down hill, the steak sandwiches are soggy. wish things would change

I’ve never had their pizza so I can’t really say anything about that but my husband and I order their chicken cheesesteaks and steak sandwiches which I have to say are pretty darn good they deliver a nice meaty hot sandwich which is hard to say for a lot of other places so if you’re in the mood for a good steak sandwich Apollo is a good place to start at least in the Bensalem area.

We are new to the area and were told that Apollo’s has the best pizza and cheese steaks around so we decided to order tonight. Alright, I know it’s Lent and many people order pizza on Firday so I didn’t worry too much when I ordered a medium pizza and a sandwich at 7:00 and was told it would be delivered in an hour. But after 1 hour and 40 minutes I was ready to cancel. Yeah, the food finally arrived !!! I must say the pizza was hot and cooked to our request (well done) and the sandwich was delicious so I’m not dissatisfied but I will certainly pick up in the future on a Friday night. We will be ordering from Apollo’s in the near future.

I gave this review a one star based on the customer service I received on February 7^th 2016. I called and ordered seven cheesesteaks. I requested a 5:30 p.m. pickup time but then called back to change it to 5 o’clock. When I got there my order was not ready at 5 and I noticed that they were running a special for the Super Bowl, 3 cheese steaks, three orders of fries, & a two liter of soda for $ 25. When I asked an employee why the special was not mentioned to me when I called they just looked at me like I had three heads. They didn’t even offer to give me the special when I was there. After I paid almost $ 50 for my food, on my way home I called the restaurant back and ask again why I was not offered the special or why it wasn’t mentioned to me on the phone and I was basically told its not there problem to tell their customers about the specials and they would not honor it. So I was basically told tough crap. So I informed them that they lost any future business I was to give them. I myself have worked in the food industry for years and it’s always been about taking care of the customer in most cases, not all of them and I just felt like they just didn’t give a crap so I have no problem spending my money elsewhere.

I have no major issues with Apollo’s. It’s close to home and the service is generally always on point. I’ve eaten through here numerous times over the years and it tends to be the spot everyone goes to that lives in the area. Personally, it’s not my first choice. I’m not here to give shout outs to other businesses, so I’ll keep it at that. The food is just okay for me. I will make a positive note that they do have some pretty fat cheesesteaks, so if you’re looking for a joint that doesn’t bum you out on the lack of meat, come here for sure. I’m a huge fan of white pizza and for some reason, there’s something missing from theirs. Will I eat from here again? Yeah. It’s hard not to!

Great little place, awesome food & terrific prices. Cheesesteaks were yummy as well as the pizza. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Me and my family order from Apollo’s at least once a week if not more. They have great food, they never disappoint. My favorite being their pizza steak. Friendly service and drivers. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic restaurant! My wife’s work needed something like 35 – 40 pizzas for a function. They didn’t disappoint. We needed them at a certain time, as we arrived, the very last pie was just coming out of the oven.
We order from them a lot, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad order, or been unhappy with what we got.

I’ve ordered from them several times and the food is always good with fast delivery. The cheesesteaks are really great.

Calzone was delicious. Crust was very fresh. Fresh garlic and onion… More than enough for 2 people. Pan pizza was ok. Not my style. The kids really liked it. But that calzone… will be getting another soon.

I can’t rave about this place enough. The food is awesome, and everyone that I have dealt with has been amazing as well. Food comes fast. It is always hot, and delicious, and it looks like care was put into it. There may be places with «better» pizza, and such, but the service and quality keeps me coming back. I love this place.
I had my first bad experience with Apollo’s. I was very surprised. We ordered a cheese steak, chicken fingers with french fries, a bacon cheese burger, breaded mushrooms, and a flounder sandwich. The food came quickly enough. The delivery driver was very nice. My mom’s cheese steak was very soggy, and there was nothing except cheese, and fried onions on it. The flounder sandwich was literally a piece of fried flounder on a hoagie roll. There was no lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, tartar sauce, pickles… nothing. Maybe it was my fault for assuming that a fish sandwich would have something on it besides just a piece of fish. My girlfriend said that her burger was extremely greasy, and that her roll was also very soggy. The kids loved their chicken fingers, and french fries. I used to LOVE their breaded mushrooms. They are different now. They used to have breading on them, and they came in a little box with a dipping sauce. Now they are coated in a batter, and come in a little bag with no sauce. They all stick together, or stick to the bag, and the batter just tears off, and you have to fish it out of the bag. Are they under new ownership? I have ordered from here dozens of times, and have never had even one little problem.
Went from 5 stars to 4 stars.

My girlfriend wanted me to give this place a try and I did so, and I must say this is my favorite pizza place in Bensalem! The cheese is perfectly cooked to a nice soft and tasty delight !
Me and my girlfriend are going to order from them tonight and are looking to enjoy another delicious dinner for our movie night !

Use to like this place, but they’ve gone down hill. Ordered a pizza steak and fries. Took almost an hour and 15 mins to get it delivered. And that only when I called them back after waiting an hour. At which time they said it was allegedly out with the delivery guy. The person taking phone orders can’t speak or understand English. Well, Apollos, here’s my solemn promise to you. You’ll never see my phone number again on your caller Id. Good riddance.

I have never had their pizza because I always end up with their chicken steak hoagie and my husband cheesesteaks. We will not go anywhere else. How can you when you get a ½ lb cheesesteak and I can never finish it. Rolls fresh as well as their generous toppings. We occasionally eat in and it has a family feel to it. I now have my neighbors and my dad’s work eating from here. Keep up the great food!!!

The Cheesesteak is delicious! Respectable amount of cheese, lots of meat, a good soft roll and if you order toppings like mushrooms or fried onions, Apollo’s is very generous. The pizza is great (trust me there is a lot of pizza places I have tried in the tri-​state area). this place is definitely a good place if you need to get that pizza or cheesesteak fix and you are a fifteen minute drive away.

I love Apollos! Its your neighborhood pizzeria that any option you get here is delicious. The pizzas are quality and the price you pay is worth it. Never had a bad experience here, always fresh and ready when I came to pick-​up.
This place also is very involved with thw community which I thought was nice.
BONUS which made me love this place even more, for Valentines day they made me and my husband a heart shaped pizza by request. 1 word, awesome.

Hearty, big sandwiches at a great price! Damn, am I glad a friend suggested this place for a casual bite to eat! I haven’t had a cheese steak in years and boy did this make my night. My only thing is that you request the roll to be toasted, depending on your toppings. I got a cheese steak hoagie with fried onions and mushrooms. Don’t know what made it so soggy but my roll was drippy! Excellent quality and taste. If you’re in the area, give this place a try. Onion petals are good, also.
