I was told by many this is a great place, so I tried it. Around 12:00 in the afternoon. The food was cold, clearly it was reheated and not even to temp. The rice was not made that day and the egg rolls left you with a weird after taste. The establishment was not clean, our dishes were not properly washed, and the salt and pepper shakers were disgusting INSIDE and out. I don’t recommend.

Good Chinese food. The kind I’m used to. I’ve lived near Bennett for about 2 years passing by this restaurant all the time. The outside of the building looks kind of ghetto so I never wanted to experiment with sketchy Chinese food from a small town. Well last night I decided to give them a try and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered kung Pao chicken and it was better than a lot of the restaraunts in Denver. It was actually spicey like it’s supposed to be and lots of peanuts which I personally like. We also had peppered beef, egg rolls, fried rice, and some crab cheese wontons. Everything tasted as it should and seemed fresh. I would recommend this restaurant for predictable and delicious Chinese food. Don’t let the building scare you.

China Kitchen is delicious! My bf and I have a pretty standard order of orange chicken, beef lo mein, usually with fried rice. Sometimes we will mix things up and throw in hot and sour soup or crab cheese wontons’ to the mix. I love there orange chicken! It is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy that I expect with orange chicken. The beef lo mein has just the right ratio of beef to noodle to veggie. The crab cheese wontons’ come as an order of eight! And they satisfy the need for something sweet every time! The hot and sour soup is very savory, I found beef in mine this last time which I am not used too… I will probably leave that one off my list for a while. While the food is wonderful, the hours get confusing. They are closed on Monday’s and sometimes they close for an extended period of time. There is no answering machine, so if you call and they are closed it will just ring and ring. That is the only downside to China Kitchen. The owners are super friendly and always smiling, even on a miserable snowy day.

I love the combination of wonton soup and my husband loves the secret recipe– combo phở… they have a lot of customers– either for here of to go. The owner talked a lot with us, with hospitality~ I guess that’s because there’re not so much Chinese talking around…

Just a quiet little place in a tiny rural town. With great people. And great food! The combo fried rice is what I’d recommend to new customers! Prices are really reasonable aswell. Not sure about previous reviews as we have not had a bad experience yet.

When we moved here back in April the Chinese food was pretty decent. Everytime after that it has gotten worse and worse(to the point of making me and my family sick). Now we just don’t go there. I wish there was a better restaurant in this small town. Oh and when we did call in our order the lady who answers ALWAYS hangs up on us before we place our order so we would have to call back. She told my husband its because our number is out of the area! That is so unprofessional!

Fab quick late dinner option out in these boon docks ;) I enjoyed the veggie lo mein and veggie fried rice — fresh and not overcooked at all — The only thing that I had to add, for my own personal taste, was sriracha.

Since the new ownership the place LOOKS better, but the good stinks. The egg drop soup was nasty, the shrimp was fishy and overlooked. When I told the waitress that it sucked, she tried to argue with me me about it. Avoid this place — nothing but garbage.

The food was really pretty good, staff were really friendly and I would have returned had I not seen a cockroach crawl past my friends head on the wall. At that point I wondered how clean the kitchen was where my food had just been prepared. We were actually finished with our food when we encountered the bug but we didn’t opt for to go boxes.

Food was excellent — I eat here at least monthly. Not sure I understand the review by Kelly B. seems pretty off compared to all of my and others experiences — I have tried several dishes and clearly they do not all taste the same — guess it depends on your palate. Yes, it could use a little work and they have made some improvements recently but it is a little place in a very small town — do not expect wonders when it comes to the décor. If you are looking for a clean place to get a great meal at a super price where the staff is very friendly, this IS the place to go. Tip — remember that the«heat» of any dish is typically set to accommodate the most people, if you want your dish extra spicy they are happy to do that if you simply ask … they really are nice people and go out of their way to please the customer.

I’m giving this two stars only because it’s the only Chinese place in ‘town.’ It’s a small place and in need of some major interior renovations. I’ve had the misfortune of eating here three times, once inside and twice as carry-out. Each time, I ordered something different… but it never tasted that way. We have a joke in our house that this place uses the same sauce on everything, and I really think they do. I have had others tell me they like it and excuse our experience by telling me, «Oh, it just depends on who the chef is that day.» Um, I really can’t imagine this tiny rundown place having a variety of chefs! The last time I ate here, I ordered their Volcano chicken. That would imply that the dish should be SPICY. My husband ordered sesame chicken. Both dishes tasted identical to one another, the only difference was that my sauce looked a bit darker. Maybe that means it had been sitting around for awhile! Also, the food seemed way over cooked — I felt like I was chewing on a dogs rubber chicken toy. Dirty, bland, no variety whatsoever and every single dish tastes alike! It’s located just off the highway, so if you happen to see it when you’re traveling west on I-70, I recommend you turn around and head into Aurora for a meal!

Finding place was completely unexpected and I was shocked at what I found! I was attending a meeting at Front Range Airport and needed to grab a meal before the next round started. I turned to my GPS to find a random place to eat; however, it was not able to find anywhere good to eat in Watkins. Thankfully, this was one of the first places that showed up when I searched in the town of Bennett. The outside of the restaurant was rather nondescript and the inside was sparsely decorated, but I thought I should just follow the maxim that has usually worked for me: Hole-in-the-wall restaurants can have some of the best food. I’m glad that I followed my instincts. I ordered the Happy Family, which had shrimp, crab meat, chicken, beef, and a nice assortment of vegetables smothered in a garlic sauce, and I was immediately surprised by how large the portions were! The entrée itself filled a large take out box, while the fried rice that went with it filled a small take out box. I only ate about half of the entrée and the rice before I was completely full, so I’m glad that at least have some food leftover for lunch tomorrow. The price point for the food was also very good as well for the quality of the food — a full entrée plate with a lot of fried rice and a drink for about $ 10 is not something that you find every day, especially when it is in a smaller town like Bennett. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through town or looking to try something new. I would personally make a return trip here, if I ever find myself in Bennett again for some reason.

This place is alright if you like mixed vegetables in your egg drop soup, but is the only chinese restaurant out in the middle of no where so that’s going for it.
