Was looking for a local place for brunch and found this. The place is clean and the server so friendly. The servings are big and«tasty». Thanks to the chef… will go back and try their specials.

Walking in. I knew I would like this place. It’s a tiny diner. There is some outdoor seating, which is probably much cooler than inside. No AC, which is rough with temps this month! They had several specials, but all were burritos, enchiladas and such. I don’t like those at diners. So I went for Patty Melt & potato salad. Decent enough. Worth the $ 7.50. Service was fast! They serve breakfast all day, which I look forward to trying. They have a little counter in there & I think it feels like a nice way to get away from work for lunch. I recommend it.

A no frills vibe that delivers on the food. Went on a Monday about 10am and we were the only people in the place. I had the short stack pancakes(best I have had — maybe ever). Perfect size portion. Very reasonably priced. Staff and cook were very friendly. Will be back for sure.

Great omelet, great burgers, great hash browns, great service. Also great pancakes. The perfect diner! Very closes to I 680, so it’s great for road trips! A classic hole in the wall.

My girlfriend somehow knew about this place, and wow! What an amazing dive. First of all, when you see this place you won’t expect the amazing and cost efficient menu they have. Everything literally feels and reminds you of somewhere you end up early in the morning after you wake up from partying all night and have a really bad hang over and lean over to your friend and go, «Bitch I want some pancakes and eggs I know this place that’s open super early lets go.» Hell, or maybe you just want a damn good breakfast, or you’ve never been to bed in the first place. From strippers to steel workers, to truckers, and even more. If you are up at the earliest hours in the morning, this is the place to go. What else you’ll find? The most amazing diner experience outside of Soscols Café on Soscol avenue in Napa. This is one of the best dive type diners I“ve seen. Pro’s: The food is huge, in portion and in taste. Cost wise it’s worth every penny. The food is cooked right in front of you, so you know nothing is going wrong with it. The owner works along side the humble staff. Local and family owned. The aesthetic matches the entire atmosphere perfectly, the bar stools are also an amazing addition to the restaurant. Everything is home cooked. Con’s: It’s very hard to find this unique gem. Only open for breakfast and lunch, short hours. All in all, this is definitely a place you need to add to your bucket list and get there as soon as possible and try this amazing restaurant.

Super quaint and welcoming café, also a spacious dining patio. Their food is good, I had the biscuits and gravy with hot link, and it was so delicious. No to mention their prices are super reasonable. Overall really sweet little café, super cuddy if you know what I mean. And Mandy was really helpful.

Unexpected roadside gem! French toast beats the Ritz brunch any day. Hash brown was crunchy but not greasy. Tacos were awesome. Yes I ate a lot here. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Tahoe.

I am really surprised Rosie’s has such a high rating on Unilocal.I expected it to be really good. It was okay, but not worth the toll from this side of the bridge. It was difficult to find, missed it on the first pass. The cook and waitress were nice. The coffee was fine. I got bacon and scrambled eggs, he got a pork chop with over-hard eggs. Well, he ORDERED over-hard eggs, he got over easy. This inattention seems to be par for the course. We both ordered from the same breakfast menu, and his came with two slices of barely toasted toast, but the cook only gave me one burned slice. Weird. Then there was an orange slice on mine, but not on his, and the side of goopy, gluey«bisquits» and gravy came with two slices of orange. Weird. My eggs were fake egg but well cooked. His eggs were undercooked but he enjoyed them very much, regardless. He ate more of his home fries than he usually does, but my hashbrowns tasted like chorizo. Nothing against chorizo, just not what I look for in hashbrowns. His pork chop was big but thin, and I got 3 slices of good bacon. Watched them prepare about 15 lunch plates for a nearby business and pack them all up to go. The lunched then sat on the counter for about 45 minutes before our waitress loaded her truck and told us «I’ll be right back…» and left to deliver the soggy plates. We waited about 20 minutes for her to return and give us the bill. So, yeah… it was fine, but I see no need to return.

Hayley: Question. Do pancakes expand in your stomach? Because my stomach feels like a full bounty of buttery cream, syrup & happiness. After reading another Unilocaler’s review(Mai I’m referring to you) I fear that later in the day I might LOL my pants. The word bounty is underused. The waitress was a doll & she made the extra effort to refill my juice. Eric here: Started sweating half way through the meal from the excitement, also she refilled my juice. The biscuits and gravy was exquisite! It teased the palate. The side of hashbrowns was bountiful, a plethora of flavors and hint of majestic mystery intermixed within the thinly sliced hash-brownian art. Nothing, that is, but all but you could’ve desired is fulfilled at Rosie’s. But seriously. It was good

I have eaten at Rosie’s three times… I work near by so it is fast and convenient. Each time I have eaten here I try something new to see if maybe I just didn’t like the one thing I ordered. All results are never good. Their chicken is rubbery, sandwiches are just ok. Eating at Rosie’s always results in an upset stomach. I’ve heard their café isn’t sanitary which is disgusting! I wouldn’t be surprised if their food wasn’t fresh either. Needless to say, be cautious eating at this place…
