Windflower Farm CSA

Who doesn’t want to support local businesses? Who doesn’t want to support local farming? I really would have liked to write a glowing review of this Community Supported Agriculture deal but I can’t. The way the deal works is that once a week they deliver a selection of their best produce (vegetables, spices, etc); their selection not yours. It costs $ 30. I feel that the quality of the produce was good but in no way was it worth $ 30. You could have gone to Whole Foods and bought the same amount of similar quality organic produce for half that or less. Had you gone to Freddies it would have been even less. To participate in this CSA you need to pick up the produce downtown when they deliver it making it even more inconvenient. Unless you just want to feel good about supporting a local farm your money is better spent elsewhere.
This would have been an OK deal if they delivered at least twice the quantity of produce. As it was I felt ripped off.
