Horrible. AC was broken, so it was literally 90°. Service was so slow you would think that they were bringing the sushi from Japan. Took 40 minutes to get cucumber salad. The place really wasn’t that crowed. The cucumber salad was not fresh. Each slice was limp and the salad was so small. Not even half of a cucumber is used. We had to ask several times for water refills. You would think if the restaurant was 90° with no AC, that they would at least keep you with cold water to drink. They brought my fried tofu when they brought my sushi. The tofu is supposed to be an appetizer not a main course. The tofu had such a thick coating a batter. I don’t think it was edible. This dish is supposed to be served lightly fried and battered not something that looks like a chicken finger from a fast food restaurant. I ordered sake. The sake is way overpriced and you only get about three shots of sake with their«small» size. So save your money and don’t even bother buying sake, you’re not getting your money’s worth or even close. My sushi roll was only OK. Most the time it fell apart while trying to eat it. And I am an expert with chopsticks. Fish seemed fresh at least. If your services this slow you should really consider hiring more people. No one is going to bother coming back if it takes two hours to have dinner and then the food is this bad and service is slow. And if your AC is not working you should seriously consider closing until it’s fixed or at least offering steep discounts to your customers.

Came in on a Saturday right at 6p, place was empty so we shared some apprehensive laughs since I actually made reservations. For three people we ordered the agedashi tofu and calamari as appetizers, combination bentos with draft Sapporo and sake(tried the local SakeOne’s G-joy genshu) to go along with our meal. The agedashi and calamari were very flavorful and cooked well. They apparently know what they’re doing when it comes to fried foods since their tempura and katsu were also light and crunchy and had very minimal grease(they kept the oil hot enough). We all had different bento entrees and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. People filtered in throughout the evening and there were about 5 other parties when we stopped to take notice. Service was fast and thoughtful, which I fully expected since it was just us initially. We left happy, full and very satisfied, and what made it even better was the reasonable check. Looking forward to dining here again on our next trip to Bend!

½ price sushi Monday. Service is friendly but extremely slow. They are busy but not too much that I’ve been waiting over 20 minutes for my food. Got one roll and took another 20 min for the 2nd roll. I’m from Vegas and know good sushi. This is subpar at best. I love ponzu sauce but their ponzu is very salty, should be vinegary and not salty. 1 plus, they have Asahi and Sapporo on draft which is awesome. Had the albacore and yellowtail nigiri which was excellent. Thick cut of very fresh fish. Also had the salmon and mackerel nigiri. Their nigiri is very good but the rolls suck.

Bought a 20 for 25 deal and they would not honor it. I didn’t know Monday’s were half price when I walked in the door. The coupon specifically says the business owner is not allowed to add any restrictions to the coupon, yet they did not let me use it on Mondays.

Although we did go on ½ price sushi night I felt that the service was beyond slow. From the time we put our order in until it was completed took 2 hours. We were brought out our first couple of rolls within 15 minutes, but the waiter disappeared for at least a half hour afterwards. At the end of the night our server also split half of the groups checks and refused to split the other half of the group. I feel as if you are going to have a standard it should apply to everyone. Although I had an unpleasant service experience, The food we received was excellent. That is the only reason I am willing to give this restaurant another chance. I’ll be sitting at the sushi bar next time though.

Good food, good service, and quick. Our waiter was great and the rest of the staff worked hard to run a tight ship.

I am not an avid sushi person, but in 2 visits, Tomo has sparked my interest! The service is great, the food presentation is awesome, and there is something for everyone. I had the Back in Black rolls that were amazing and will be my sushi go-to from here on out. It is small in side, but the décor is great for setting a mellow mood. I recommend you give it a try!

Good place, great environment and good food. They infuse their own sake, if you want something a little different, ask for the cinnamon apple sake. Wow, best I’ve ever had. My only gripe which prevents 5 stars is that on Mondays, when they have half off sake, the place is packed. That’s fine, to be expected, but during that time, the staff seems to care more about getting you out of there fast to go through the line then care about your experience. They don’t like custom orders or changing things up to your liking because it will take longer than normal, and that I wasn’t pumped on. But other than that, great food!

Took the kids to try some sushi and it was great! Spicy Tuna rolls were my favorite! The kids really loved the Miso soup. Good service and nice atmosphere.

Got food poisoning! Monday is half off day and it gets super busy. This was my first and will be my only time going there. I think some corners were cut because of the rush and I ended up getting food poisoning. The bad kind. Most likely from a tempura roll… which is scary cos that is a cooked roll.

It was good. A little overpriced for what you get. But nice quality sushi and good service. Very nice décor inside. The first time I had ever enjoyed pickled carrot in a roll — super tasty. If I visit Bend again, I wouldn’t hesitate returning to Tomo.

Last night we had the most amazing dinner at Tomo. The service was perfect(thanks, Condo!) and the sushi chef knows what he’s doing! Thank you, Emmerson! He started us off with a beautiful and delicious sashimi plate, followed by several fabulous rolls and tempura. I’m fairly new to sushi and this place did not disappoint!

Something has changed about Tomo recently. The sushi has gone from good to «yum»! We came in a week ago on a Monday and did the typical 30 – 45 min wait. But our rolls were so much better this time around(and I swear it’s not just because I was starving). Confirmed the new level of goodness at lunch a few days ago. My favorite rolls are currently the hot samurai roll, wasabi roll, and crunchy spicy tuna. So happy to have a sushi restaurant stepping up their game!

Hijo ni yoi! The Unilocal reviews were not glowing but not horrendous. Sushi just sounded good as well as a little cold saki. Tomo was right next door to my hotel so I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I went on a Monday night which is half off most rolls. The place was packed. It was about a 30 minute wait to sit at the counter. I had a crunchy spicy tuna roll and a tempera roll with my cold saki. The service was good. The food was very good! I would come back to Tomo, probably on a Monday night.
