I have been going to Karyn regularly for massages and have found her style of bodywork to be very effective and consistent. I am picky when it comes to massage and seem to have had more bad ones than good ones, until I found Karyn. I’m very athletic and play hard on my weekends, I typically need deep therapeutic work to feel like I get my money’s worth. Karyn performs Ashiatsu Massage (barefoot massage) and is able to deliver deep broad pressure that is way less painful than traditional deep tissue work. Her technique is slow, precise and productive. If you are looking for a professional therapeutic massage where the therapist actually listens to your needs and delivers this is your place!

After about a week of denial about a pinched nerve and massive knot in my shoulder/​trapezoid and aggravating it all by running the show at my big brother’s wedding, I finally decided it was time to get professional help. I’m a notoriously bad patient, but I was going crazy not being able to do all the fun outdoors stuff I love to do, and the pain was so bad at night that I couldn’t sleep. When my chiropractor recommended a massage to pair with his treatment, Karyn was my go-​to.
Although well versed in many types of massage, Karyn’s specialty Ashiatsu is ideal for deep tissue massage without sharp pressure points. She is great for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts with big muscles that are hard to work on due to their mass. She also love problem-​solving trouble areas, and gave special care to my shoulder and trapezoid which provided instant relief. I was able to sleep without pain for the first time in a week and just a week later, I am back to 100%!
Her space is cozy and inviting and conveniently located on the edge of downtown. I highly recommend her for anyone, but especially for injury and sports related muscle maintenance!

I’ve followed Karyn from Portland to Bend. She is an intuitive, talented massage therapist. She has several different techniques that she excels in, but her specialty is Ashiatsu — which I love! She is really able to get in deep to those painful knots of tension, and she doesn’t give up until the muscles release. :)
Her massage space is lovely and peaceful. Can’t wait to go back again!
