Went to the new downtown location. The worst experience I’ve had in the four years I’ve lived in bend. They had one person working the entire restaurant on a Friday night(first Friday nonetheless). It took 20 minutes just to stand in line and order at the counter and another hour. No joke. An hour to get our food. As you know this is fast-food-esque non-gourmet style dining. There is NO reason why it should take an hour to make a quesadilla. The restaurant wasn’t even full, I’m not sure why every single table waited an hour to get the food. When we got it, it was cold and bland. If we didn’t pay up front, I would have left without eating to go next door and get an oven fired pizza. Needless to say I will never go back.

Best tacos in Bend. Los Jalapenos taqueria has been my favorite for over 15 years. I have never ordered something that I didn’t like.

They now also have a downtown restaurant… much bigger and fancier. I had the happy hour steak fajita nachos and margarita for under $ 10 total, and both were delicious. My husband got a bean burrito and was delighted with it. It’s a nice addition to the downtown area, plus their sweet, cozy restaurant is still serving lots of happy customers on the east side.

We went there for burritos. It was good and tasty. Chips and salsa was also good. The place is small and fits groups of 2 – 4, but might not easily seat bigger groups. The staff is also very friendly.

Buenísimo! This place is bomb, good service and everything I’ve had here is excellent. Cuando se me antoja una comida mexicana, este es mi lugar…

I forgot about this place until the other day. I visited bend and decided to stop in and found they have added a breakfast menu. The veggie breakfast burrito was to die for! I advise you bring a jacket if you intend to eat in though because they seem to keep the heat turned down uncomfortably low. It seems this place is designed more for carry out and if i lived in bend I’d be taking advantage of that. Excellent food!

Found this wonderful little Mexican food place on my way to Costco this morning and was delighted to discover that they are open for breakfast! Their menu is surprisingly extensive and I settled on a delicious vegetarian breakfast burrito. Great way to start the day!

Always greeted by the friendly staff. The air is filled with the aroma of fresh meats and spices; and everything on the menu is great. Hugs burritos and a nice happy hour from 2 – 6. 10⁄10.

This is a kind of Mexican place I always wanted to have in my neighborhood! Now we moved here we’ve frequented this place :) We love their breakfast burritos as well as their bowls! There are still lots of items to try which makes us very happy! Only problem with their breakfast burritos is that after you’ve eaten one you loose all your wills to do anything!!! We’ve decided to limit to once a week ;) My favorites are veggie burrito and summer grilled veggie bowl. Their green salsa is amazing!

Glad we finally dropped in for lunch. Reminds me of a taco truck without the truck issues. . Taco salad was awesome. Burrito across the table brought forth the«can’t talk, eating.». Good looking selection of cold beverages in the case. Excellent customer service. Only bummer was that both of us wished the bottled salsa was spunkier. Totally fur-schur-dood be back.

The family and I went here to have a quick lunch before I went to work. And I ordered the chicken enchilada combo with a Asada taco and It was alright the Asada taco was great but I personally didn’t like the chicken enchilada it wasn’t very flavor full. My husband had the fish tacos which were really good. I will definitely come back to try something different on there menu.

For our second time here we loved the food. We came for the horchata and happy hour deals. I got the fish tacos combo plate which comes with rnb and my wife got the chicken enchilada combo plate with rnb and a carne asada taco on the side. The horchata tasted watered down, didnt taste freshly made, but the food was delicious. I topped my fish tacos with an habanero sauce that was dank! For what’s it worth I would recomend this place. I have to come back for the camarones a la diabla

This place gets stars for authenticity. It is a very tiny restaurant on the East Side run by a Mexican family with no frills Mexican food. They have happy hour until 6pm most days that consists of a pretty big margarita with a plate of food(they have a few options for food like tacos and nachos) for about $ 9. The margaritas are so-so; they are made with sour mix — I am a margarita purist and I like mine with lime juice, tequila and agave nectar and I HATE sour mix. We got the carne asada tacos and plan nachos and they were not that impressive. This is a good spot for families and the service is good but I don’t know that I will be rushing back.

It’s the hole in the wall places that I love and this is one. I always come for breakfast(the most important meal of the day). Breakfast here reminds me of home; chiliquiles and the huevos rancheros I add chorizo to my plate. The salsa’s are what do it for me. Just enough spice without being over done.

Tasty morning breakfast burrito… it was solid, but not great. 4 Stars for me. Good service, cool little spot and the price was very reasonable. I would come again!

This one was hard to review. We stuck to the burritos for our first shot. The owner was there and he knocked this place up to 3 stars himself. I feel like he has a relationship with the customers and I don’t see that often. The burritos were okay. The layout was good and the size and clarity of their menu makes things a hell of a lot easier for newcomers. The cashier is what deducted points for me. I imagine it’s the owners daughter and she is burned out from having to work there all the time. I don’t know but she wasn’t very nice to us gringos. I’ll pass on the carne asada *sigh* and go with their carnitas next time. Red salsa is nice and HOT and the green is almost drinkable.

Such a good salad bowl! The roasted harvest veggies were so fresh and lightly seasoned, with a perfect complement of quiona and beans for a hearty feel. I got some fajita steak added as well, and I was so satisfied when I finished. I was very happy to not feel heavy and gluttonous(as I usually would if eating that mix in a burrito). I would definitely recommend the bowl. The green salsa is amazing. Drown your food with it, seriously.

Decent breakfast burrito, big ass cups. Closest thing to an authentic Mexican taco stand I can find being a San Diego native.

I lived in LA for 9 years before moving to Bend, and so a good Mexican restaurant was one of the first things we set out to find. We tried several around town before finding Los Jalapenos, and this is our favorite! It’s the closest to the authentic Mexican in town, and they use high quality, locally sourced beef, which I totally appreciate. Also their horchata is made from scratch and is deliciously creamy. My favorites are the street tacos, which are large size tacos, not street taco size, the bell pepper breakfast burrito, and the enchiladas with a red mole sauce. They have great interesting salad options, and their green salsa is so refreshing I could drink it. So happy we’ve found this place, and now we’re there at least once a week.
