Rochelle at Lemon drop has taken care of me for two years now and she’s the best! I made a huge hair change last year cutting off 14 inches and she was so in tune to what I wanted and making sure I was SURE about this big change. So thankful to have a stylist that cares that I’ll want the style down the road not just on an impulse.
Salon is super cute, clean and professional. I’d refer absolutely everyone to Rochelle, but then again I don’t know if I want everyone knowing my secret ;)

I’ve been seeing Jodi at Lemon Drop since I relocated to Bend in 2014. She’s great. Friendly, responsive, and on-​time. She’s got the ability & skill to look at the shape of your face, the color of your complexion, and your hair’s natural tendencies, and come up with what works best for you: cut & color. I’ve got wavy to curly hair and she does great things for my curls! It’s really hard to find somebody like Jodi IMO. Jodi uses Square so the receipt goes right to my inbox. Convenient!
They carry great products but never push them on you.

I saw Audrey as a new client today. She was ready, welcoming, the salon clean and inviting, nice music. For two hours I was the center of her attention. No double booking, no phones ringing, no extraneous conversations. Final product, my hair fun and couldn’t be more happy. Cut and color perfect and fits ME well. Will go back and refer for sure.

Located across from salon Tangerine, Lemon Drop is in downtown Bend. But this review is less about the salon and more about the stylist, Bailey Du Mond who just relocated to Lemon Drop from her previous gig at a downtown men’s salon. Word of Bailey’s expertise with women’s styling shared among friends led some of us to brave the men’s salon set up, even while feeling like ‘Edith Ann’ in the guy sized chairs there, to have Bailey cut and color our hair. Imagine the delight when two weeks ago Bailey moved over to Lemon Drop!
ABOUT THE SALON
Home to about eight stylists providing full service hair care, the salon is spacious, well laid out and comfortably unpretentious. Welcoming to both genders and people of all ages. Comfortable sofa seating at the front of the salon with windows looking out across Minnesota Street to the Oxford Hotel provide a place to perch if you’re early for an appointment or waiting on a friend.
ABOUT SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS
The business model for Lemon Drop is stylists are renting space from the salon and managing their own appointments. In that model, although you can call the salon main number to leave a message for a stylist, the best way to reach a stylist is at their own business phone number.
ABOUT STYLIST BAILEY DU MOND
Bailey’s number for scheduling appointments is 307−699−1812. She is taking new clients since her move to Lemon Drop and I imagine her «dance card» will fill quickly once women who may not have known she did women’s hair at the men’s salon discover her here.
In a Unilocal review for Bailey at her previous salon, one of her male customers said this in his 5 star review, «Bailey is straight up badass».
I chuckled when I saw that comment because I could read between the generational and gender interpretation to say as a… umm… more mature… female client of Bailey’s, I agree!
In my vernacular I’d say Bailey is very talented at cut, color and styling of women’s hair. Formally trained to make her technical skills excellent for cut and color, she also has great instincts about what will work best for her clients. She listens to her clients, she makes great recommendations and she is totally vested in the right outcome.
Bailey is also a beautiful young woman with a delightfully engaging personality. I think that may have factored into her other client’s appreciative «badass» summary too
Bailey works Wednesday through Saturday with appointments starting at 10AM, when the salon opens.
In my experience Bailey is always on time regardless of when my appointment is scheduled. Also, I appreciate very much that my experience to date has been the client in her chair has Bailey’s full attention until the cut, color and styling is completed.
THIS N THAT:
1) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in and throughout. Should be an easily accessible for people of all physical abilities and ages.
2) PARKING: On street parking is always a challenge in downtown Bend, but the parking garage is a block away and the Lava Avenue cross street for the salon typically has easier day time parking than others.
3) NEIGHBORS: Across from the Oxford Hotel, next to Thump Coffee.
4) PRICING: I add this comment as I note the Unilocal page for the Salon shows $$$$ as the price range, calling it ultra high end pricing. In my experience, the prices for services are less than I have paid at other Bend salons. Were I able to change that reference on the Unilocal page, I’d say $$ — good value.

I have been going to Annie Simmons at Lemon Drop for almost 2 yrs now and she is amazing! I am so thankful I found her b/​c she was able to fix the mistakes that other stylists had made. She has been able to make all of my visions into a reality and I absolutely love my color and style every time I walk out of her chair. As long as Annie is in the business, I will be a lifelong client!
