First we waited in line for 15 minutes with no one was helping customers, when we finally got to the counter to order the hostess was not friendly. I then paid $ 5.50 for a fresh squeezed orange juice that was over half way full with just ice. At least the food is good.

The food was decent and the pastries looked good. I enjoyed my breakfast but wished I would have gotten better service for the price. I don’t mind paying more for service. But pay first and then we will bring it to your table shouldn’t be over $ 30 for two people to eat breakfast without any alcohol! Am I right or am I right? I had to get my own water in paper cups, the jam and butter were served out of those disposable peel off little containers. And I had to walk around and ask other tables if I could use their condiments and bring them back because there was nobody that came and checked on you or made sure you had the things you needed. It’s awkward to stand in line with your milk cup and pay to get a refill and then go back and sit down at your table to finish your breakfast. If it would have been set up like a café and not a huge restaurant I wouldn’t have minded that sort of service. But it makes you feel bad for the one girl that is ringing people, cleaning tables, and running food. She wasn’t set up for success and then her tips suffer when she is the hardest worker there. But 3 stars for big windows and food that tastes nice.

Aways fresh, flavorful and a limited bar with REALLY good Bloody Mary’s. Im a fan of the White Bean and Chicken Stew and their Gazpacho on a hot day is to die for. Coffee is from local roaster, BELLATAZZA which always is done right. One orders at the counter and food is brought to your table — very Euro style. Great team of engaged and kind people make the café a Bend favorite for years!

Absolutley fantastic breakfast! Everything was right on par, came out quick and hot, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. When staying in Sunriver this has proven to be a better choice than the Lodge restaurant for quite a bit less $$.

Enjoyed another great breakfast with my lovely wife here. Eaten here many times before and no disappointments. I order the sausage scramble and it just doesn’t get any better. The bacon to is very good as a side order highly recommend as well.

The Green Chile omelette sounded so good — green chiles, ham, Brie, and grilled onions… but alas, it was disappointing. It would be more accurately described as a grilled onion omelette(onions made up 80% of the contents) with some ham, and trace amounts of chiles & Brie. That said, the coffee was quite good, the service fast & friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. I’m willing to give it another chance(I’ll order something different next time).

Good, but nothing special. Very good house coffee. Kinda expensive for not getting waited on.

Absolutely amazing! The freshly squeezed orange juice is a must have(as are the pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, and toast). The response from my 7year old son &11 year old nephew when the waiter asked how everything was, «AMAZING.» We are heading back to Orange County & will am preparing for withdrawals. The food is simply delicious!

The café is ok considering its approximate location to Sunriver Resort. A bit on the pricey side

Pros: Clean, spacious, family friendly, great coffee, perfect location, and beautifully decorated. Delicious pancakes, oatmeal, eggs and bacon of what we ordered. Gigantic baked goods looked amazing in case for only $ 3.50 but didn’t try any. The place is hoppin’. Cons: French toast was soggy/undercooked on all three orders for our party. Lacked flavor. Lady at front counter was slightly less than friendly when we placed our order and had questions about menu items. I could be wrong, but she even seemed annoyed that my 6 yr old kiddo didn’t like the chocolate milk taste(made with ghirardelli choc syrup) and after a sip wanted to have oj instead. Made us feel awkward although we paid the price difference for oj. Whatever though… not a big deal. Prices are a little high for an order at the counter, serve yourself coffee/water and seat yourself café in my opinion.

Excellent breakfast choice. Benedicts, French toast and pancake trio were all hits. Eggs were poached to perfection.

Great little café with a coffee bar. It’s an order at the counter place with café style food. The sourdough toast is a highlight. Laid back atmosphere with good breakfast options. I ordered the French toast and it was a large portion. Fairly standard, but the bread they use elevates the dish. Lots of homemade pastry options for a grab and go as well.

My husband and I were looking for a breakfast spot close by and decided to try it based on other Unilocal reviews. We weren’t disappointed. He got their house sausage, eggs and potatoes with a side of one pancake, while I got the spinach Benedict. We both loved our meals but thought the potatoes needed a little something more. Everyone was very friendly despite it being packed. We were very glad we got there before 9. It was a Sunday on a holiday weekend so am not sure if it’s always that slammed by 9 but we’ll continue to be mindful of this. Especially since this is an order at the counter and find your own seat type of place. Our white chocolate mochas were also fantastic! We will be back.

We went to the Holiday Bazaar in Sunriver and stopped into this place for breakfast. Absolutely loved it from the second we stepped in — quaint, cute space with plenty of seating. You order at the counter, self serve coffee, and sit down with your number at the table. Once we had selected a table, we received a plate of bread and butter/jam — fresh, hot, crusty sliced french bread and this jalapeño/cheese bread that I couldn’t get enough of. I scarfed down three slices before remembering I’d ordered a meal. They have lots of breakfast basics and slightly«upgraded» staples, like benedicts with avocado and tomatoes(what I ordered), crepes, and omelettes with ingredients like brie, linguisa, fresh herbs, etc. They are supposedly«Portugese» influenced but I only saw this in the linguisa. The BF ordered a danish and a breakfast sandwich; he loved both — the danish was filled with raspberry preserves and had the traditional icing(he loves sweet stuff), and the sandwich was on that delicious home baked bread I’d just eaten a whole plate of, and didn’t fall apart. I think«not falling apart» is key to a good sandwich — you must be able to handle and eat it cleanly! My benedict was nice and fresh, and the egg was poached perfectly — I always like the whites to be completely cooked, but the yolk still runny. This is not easy to do and I appreciate when it’s done right. Service was attentive and kind, and overall, we had a really delightful breakfast with the snow on the pines outside, a sunny window seat, and hot coffee. A great experience, and we’d go back just for the bread.

This place was fantastic! This will be our go to place for breakfast in Sunriver from now on! Other than my crêpe being a tiny portion I love everything about it. I just figured when I order the crepes that it would be more then just one of them. My $ 8 mistake. It’s a cute place. They give everyone toast and it’s a cinnamon toast that’s REAL good. They did not have kids meals but they have some large plates that are good for splitting.

TL;DR: Quality is great, food is quite good, coffee is terrible. Food: 4 stars, I’ve had breakfast here 5 times and lunch once in the last week. The quality of the ingredients are very good, the execution is pretty good, fruit is fresh and prepared well, the oatmeal seems fresh made. Service: 4 stars, everybody is nice and food is prepared quickly Value: 4.5 stars, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and the area The Problem: Coffee, it’s horrific. Like I said I’ve mostly eaten here as a breakfast place and the first day I had a Cap that I could only have one sip of because the beans tasted burnt to death. The following 4 visits I had drip that I had to drown in cream and sugar(I vastly prefer my coffee black), I only do this at places so I can choke the coffee down. If they improved their coffee this would be a solid 4 star place, if you’re not getting coffee with breakfast then you’re in the clear but it’s such a critical component that I had to knock off a star.
