Absolutely terrible service. Ladies wouldn’t even say hello to me until I had to chase someone down to get some info from her. She still was extremely unhelpful, until she learned that I was an owner of a business that needed quite a few lights. Terrible service. Won’t ever be back. Looks can be deceiving… treat all of your customers well & they will do the same in return.

Came in here to get ideas for a project I was working on. I looked through the lighting fixtures they had displayed and was happy with the wide selection, but still did not find what I was really looking for. They then showed me their catalogs for a seemingly infinite amount of choices. I found some great fixtures that would work with my project. After I finally decided on one, I was able to order the fixture here and received it after 4 weeks. I even saved money through the whole process as Bend Lighting was able to get prices that I was not able to find on other websites. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for lighting fixtures in Central Oregon. My experience could not have been better. Thanks again guys!

My wife and I ordered a $ 1000 dining room fixture on 3÷31÷14, and paid in full on our credit card. We were told that delivery was expected in 7 to 8 weeks. I called after 8 weeks, and was told it would be another 4. I called again after 14 weeks, and was told it would be another 3 or 4. In both these instances, they took no action to proactively inform me of the missed delivery, and were slow to respond to my calls for information. I cancelled our order after this second missed delivery, and requested a refund on our card. «Not our policy. We’ll have to write you a check. We don’t want to get charged for a second transaction fee.» I explained that we were cancelling due to non-delivery, and that considering that they had our money for three months, I thought it was ridiculous that we now had to come get a paper check. «Sorry — that’s our policy» I’m sorry too. I’m sorry that I ever placed an order with them, and I’m sorry that I let 14 weeks get away with no progress. I will also cancel the $ 2000 of associated work to install recessed lighting that we had planned to do with their affiliated contracting service, Quality Builders Electric. I find that both retailers and contractors are very trustworthy here in Bend, Oregon, and I like to support local businesses like this one. But not these guys. They deserve my first-ever rating of one star.

Formerly called Quality Builders Electric, Bend Lighting is the same business at the same location under a not too long ago changed name. Friendly people work here. Seems like a good assortment of lighting products on display. Catalogs abound for many more not on display. I went in simply to see if they had harps and spacers for table lamps in hard to find sizes and assorted finishes. Didn’t have them but offered to order them for me. Very nice of them and delivery took less than a month. All good! I’d happily give the store five stars for the friendly service. But three stars overall is the result of two star location. In a not so long ago created strip of storefronts, this still does not meet Oregon Code or Federal Standard minimums for accessible(aka ADA) parking which means my family and friends who use wheelchairs could not park and get out of their vehicles to get in the door. Nor could they use the upstairs technology center if they wanted to peruse home theater items. Thinking about that young vet I met who had his legs severed in Iraq who said«When I walked in my uniform I was a hero. Now that I use a wheelchair I sometimes feel like the enemy for wanting to get in the door.», my MO is deducting a star these days when equal access for folks like him isn’t part of the mix. The Federal Standards for equal access were established in 1990, almost a quarter of a century ago and before this store front was built. It shouldn’t take so long to get this parking problem fixed. End of civill rights /equal access commentary.
