My fellow Unilocaler! It is far and few between when I review anything outside of restaurants, but I’m making an exception regarding Aspen Ridge. A family member recently relocated to a very nice retirement community called Aspen Ridge, located on the east side of town. After doing a lot of research exploring multiple facilities in the greater Bend area, Aspen Ridge was found to have the desired location and amenities! Aspen Ridge has accommodations for independent living, assisted living as well as senior cottages and memory care. They have two very nice dining areas, an exercise room, salon, library and theater to name a few of the areas where residents can enjoy various activities. Some of the residents participate in an activity that recently had them featured in the local news. Maybe you caught them on TV regarding their award-winning, hand-crafted beer. They brew, bottle and label multiple varieties of beer and have won first and second place for their beers at the local county fair year after year. Nice! Let’s talk about the amenities near and around Aspen Ridge: It is located near St. Charles Hospital and all major clinics, as well as within walking distance to Costco, Barnes and Noble, Office Depot, Whole Foods and Safeway. Pilot Butte, the landmark in the center of town used for city viewing, trail walking and the fireworks launch point for the city, is located just a couple blocks away from Aspen Ridge. Residents can enjoy the best seats in town for the 4th of July display! Thank you Aspen Ridge for being a great part of our community.
