County-Wide A/C and Heating, Inc. bought out Fire & Ice, which I had previously used. I was NOT happy with Fire & Ice but had to call that number because I had a history with them. I was thrilled to hear they had been bought out and was amazed with the professionalism of the gentleman who answered the phone and the technician who came to my door. Wow! What a difference! I used to be afraid to open the door to some of the Fire & Ice techs! Very pleased indeed! Keep it up County-Wide and you’ll have a customer for life!

Do Not Recommend — NOFOLLOWUPSERVICEAFTERSALE. County Wide sold us a top of the line hvac system that cost us $ 10,000 for our 2,800 sf two level home. They promised us all kinds of service after the installation. The first warm day after the winter months we turned on our air conditioner to find out it was not blowing cold. We called County Wide Air Conditioning and asked them to come out and look at the unit since it was less than 1-year old and it was not working properly. The girl who answered the phone told us that they would charge us a sevice charge to come look at the unit! We asked to talk to Rhonda or Tim(the owner) and basically was denied access to them! Interestingly enough when we were making our decsion to purchase we had NOPROBLEM talking to both of them! VERYDISAPPOINTING. Use at your own risk — there are other reputable companies out there that will provide service after the sale…

We found Countywide through our home warranty company — we have had a couple AC issues since we bought our house in January and Countywide has come out twice and resolved our service very well. Today, they have impressed me even further even though they haven’t gotten out here yet. Our home warranty company’s(AHS) computer systems have been down — we put in a service request yesterday when our AC went out but AHS hasn’t been able to do anything about it because they apparently are incapable of doing anything without the computers. They wouldn’t authorize me to find my own service and bill them or even call Countywide ourselves(even though we knew that is why they would likely call to help us), and they said their systems wouldn’t be up until at least *Wednesday*(that’s 3 days.), and since sometimes there is a 1 – 2 day delay after the call in getting an appointment we might not see anyone til Friday! Of course we’re in the middle of a heat wave and I work from home and have the hubs and kids here since school is out, so that’s totally unacceptable and miserable for all concerned. So we called Countywide ourselves to make an appointment, explained the situation and that we understood that we’d be responsible for the service call and that if it ended up being something relatively cheap, we’d just pay for it, but if it was really expensive we’d have to wait until AHS got their act together and we could go through them. Ashley at Countywide was very nice and said that she would work on getting a workorder through AHS from their end when the AHS systems went back up and would not charge me anything extra(I have a $ 60 copay for service fees that I will obviously pay here) even if their system hasn’t come up by the time we can get a service call. That, to me, is going above and beyond. Right now the earliest appt she has is on Weds. but I expected there might be a delay anyway with these heat waves, but at least she was kind enough to get me in the queue. Thank you, Ashley, I look forward to seeing one of your techs soon! You have earned my future business and word of mouth recommendation.
