Connected Restoration of Santa Cruz

I had a problem with a pipe bursting in our house in Santa Cruz and it filled my crawl space with 6 – 10 inches of water. All the plumbers we called would not touch the repair until the water was removed. The 1^st company we called to drain our space quoted me a huge, close to 5 figure amount. It included a bunch of items and application I did not want and they did not seem amiable to adjust to scope of service. We then called Connected Restoration and spoke with Brittany. She connected me with Matt Watt, the general manager, to discuss our need. Matt seemed to provide the same services as the other company but listened to my specific needs and he said he come ou to assess. He arrived and assessed and when i told him exactly what I needed and didn’t need, he said no problem and gave me a quote. Very fair and within the budget I was looking for. GREAT. I told him to move ahead and they started within 2 hours. Matt was awesome. Connected Restoration is a 10 thumbs up!!!

First off, I am not a big Unilocal reviewer, but I HAD to write a review about Connected Restoration. Can’t say enough good things about the integrity and service so far! I had a problem with a pipe bursting in our house in Soquel and I first used our insurance’s suggested mitigation company. After two full weeks of trying to dry the house they gave us the approval that our house was dry. I thought it might be good to have a local company double check and make sure everything was good. I called Connected Restoration and spoke with Brittany. She listened to me about my situation and I asked if they would be open to coming out and rechecking. She put me on hold while she called Matt Watt, the general manager, to see what he would say. He said sure. Not only that, they did not charge me and came that DAY! Matt was very thorough went around checking moisture points where we had problems and told me how his company would have done the work. Connected Restoration would have been much more aggressive with trying to dry out our house. He also took the time to go over what should be checked and what other work needed to be done. I am not a mitigation expert, so it was really nice to have him go over things and help me understand where there could be problems.
While he was at our home he found 4 areas that still had moisture! If we hadn’t had him come out we could have possibly built over the mold and it would have been a much problem later. Not only did Matt come that day, but he offered to come over the next day to check under our house explaining how the mold could be growing underneath. The next day he showed up with another employee, put suits on, and together they checked things out under the house for us. They specialize in crawl spaces. He took the time to go over what would be the next step. This is all with knowing that we would have to use our insurance’s suggested company and not Connected Restoration for this job. It is very rare to find company’s to come in and really be helpful and of service and NOT ask for money in return. Actually, I tried to pay him and he wouldn’t allow it.
So, for now, I haven’t had them actually do any work, but now I have our mitigation company coming back and doing the job right, the way Connected Restoration would have done the first time. They will be my first call if ever have a water problem again. Awesome knowledge, service and integrity!!!

we have been extremely happy and grateful about the mold removal at our house a year ago. my daughter is allergic to mold, and matt was speedy and thorough to insure that her health would not be compromised. he advocated on our behalf with our homeowner’s insurance, and we won a settlement after we appealed their decision.
now my sister and brother-​in-​law have a water and mold problem at their mobile home. matt came to their rescue, and once again settled everything down. i highly recommend this company.

Connected Restoration is best described as a highly experienced, lean, customer focused operation. Matt and crew have performed three jobs for me in the past year. Each time Matt has made himself available on short notice and at odd hours without charging me some sort of exorbitant off-​hours fee. Once on site, Matt and team do a great job of surveying the damage and explaining it. The recommended solution has always been the correct course of action.

Surprise! Your house is water damaged and a pipe burst in the wall. Happened to you? Well it happened to me. Long day and get home to find my family photos on the floor had a soggy indoor water feature where I once had a wall. It’s late, as in midnight or later and your first call is to the plumber. Where is your next call? Connected restoration. Matt was there middle of the night working diligently and getting us headed in the right direction. The whole process was a breeze or multiple breezes to get us dried out ;-). The equipment manageable and I never once had to call or hound them they were on top of it start to finish and had a great working relationship with our insurance as well. Thank you connected!
