Nice little wine bar with a shaded outdoor patio just steps from the river. They have maybe a dozen selections of wine by the glass — many more if you’re getting a bottle. Three of these are from the Nolan Creek Winery. I spoke with the owner’s father and he said they actually make the wines on the premises using Texas and California grapes. I tried the Nolan Creek Zinfandel and wasn’t all that impressed, but some of the other wines were decent. You can get a flight of three 2-ounce pours for about $ 10. Cheese plates are also available. Not a bad place to sip a glass of wine on a warm summer day.

Be cautious of their wine club!!! I stayed with the club for three shipments, and they mishandled all three. The first time I had a friend pick up my shipment along with his. They ran the credit card number wrong and told him(as far as they’re concerned, some random guy) my card had been declined. They still never called me about it. I found out from the friend about this conversation. I called, gave them a piece of my mind, and they gave me a million apologies and an extra bottle of red for that shipment. The second shipment I had to get in touch with them to run the transaction, then when I went to pick up the shipment, the lady behind the counter insinuated I should call every time to make sure I have enough in my bank to cover the cost. The third shipment just didn’t happen. I went in to pick up the shipment and not only was it not prepared, but the lady behind the counter couldn’t find any record of me for any club at all. I was SO done by then and told her that if she ever finds my name of information to shred it and never look for my business again. Also, the bottles included in the shipment are a fraction of the price you’d pay if you bought them separately. For example, I was supposed to be in the top tier club and the three bottles they gave me for $ 80 would have cost me about $ 50 tops. They have a lot of business-wise growing up to do which is frustrating because they are so conveniently located me

Love this place! It’s nice to relax with a cheese plate and some wine, especially the Nolan Creek Texas Moonlight.

This is a nice place with a nice selection but very limited by the glass. The limited menu is great for a light meal to accompany the wine. Service is friendly and prompt. For the area, it should probably be five stars but I travel a lot rating everything in comparison to everything else. Enjoy.

Need a calm place to sip some wine? This is a great local place and the waitstaff always has great recommendations! If it’s hot outside, come into the AC. If it’s not too bad out sit on their shaded patio. Life in simple Temple is a bit easier with places like this!!! Came by one evening and they were hosting a Georgetown chocolatier, Michaelang. Delightful!

Perfect, trendy wine bar with the option to sit inside or outside, with your choice of wine by the glass or by the bottle. A wide variety of red, white, and sparkling wines from different regions around the world are available for fair prices(implying that the mark up is kept to a minimum compared to restaurants). There are also several different Texas wines available to include their own(Nolan Creek) if that’s what you’re looking for, while big Napa Cabernets are also available. The server is knowledgeable on the wide spectrum of the wine industry and is studying to become a Sommelier. Which is always helpful to the beginner or veteran wine drinker. Recommendation: If you are looking for a trendy new hangout while relaxing and engaging in good wine and good company, this is the place for you. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

Phil Monge and Vira Chudasma opened up this place about a year ago just off the downtown square. Located in the«Gin» marketplace, this winery not only offers their own wine, but a good selection from other wineries around the world. To sample their in-house made wines, ask for the ‘Nolan Creek Winery flight’. Grapes are sourced from the Texas High plains and some from California. During this visit, they had four wines available for tasting. Their sweet white is quite nice, with definite green apple notes to this crisp but sweet wine. It has good flavor and is an easy drinking wine. Their White Blend is a mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc and is a drier wine with a crispness and a bit of a toasted nut finish. Their sweet red, Texas Moonlight, is smooth and suitable for any afternoon or after dinner event. It packs a lot of blueberry and raspberry notes in this very fruit forward option, while it is very smooth and makes for another easy sipping option to enjoy. They are proud of their red blend(Syrah/Mourvedra) being a bronze medal winner at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo International Wine Competition. Let this one age for a few more years and compare your notes from the first taste. We hear they are also working on a future Zinfandel release that should be very nice. Be looking for more updates on that one on their Facebook page. Their wine bar décor has an upscale, jazzy chic bistro feel that is inviting and makes you feel very welcomed. The owners picked a great locale in Belton. Worth the visit and the time to just hanging out!

Awesome waitstaff they welcomed me from the moment I walked in and very informative. I stumbled in so to speak I would recommend this place to anyone. Jess and Kim were the staff that helped me with my wine tasting today.

been a frequent visitor of this establishment since it opened in early 2013. very nice owners, good wine collection thus far, occasional live music. I’ve had some decent times at Nolan Creek. But tonight this place surpassed its number of red flags and has finally lost this faithful patron. I don’t understand what is the purpose of being a «club member.» For those who pay their dues don’t receive any of the perks associated with it. Plus the waitress serving today made no attempt to understand, nor care, what came with that enrollment. So far my only experience has been dealing with inexperienced waitress, which beware if you want to ask anything about the menu. These employees don’t amount to sommelier statues nor do they aspire to reach it. For those that like to pound grape at bottle service status, this place is fantastic. You just have to know what you want and order it without hesitation. If you wait for service, you may sit for a while. Hopefully there’s good entertainment.
