I turned in a handgun to K.E.M Armors for repair. The first time I called for the status of the repair I was told that they were busy and that I would get a call back and never did. The second time I called I was told that there was no handgun at the shop matching the description of the handgun I turned in for repair. I then went to the shop to inquire about my handgun and was told that it had been released to someone else, needless to say, that someone else was not me. I was then told that I would get a call back when they(K.E.M. Armors) contacted the individual to whom my handgun was released, never received a call back. I went to the shop again and was told that there was nothing that could be done except report it. Being that K.E.M. Armors released my handgun to someone else I can only assume that K.E.M. Armors did not check for proper identification nor did they check for a claim ticket since I still have the claim ticket in my possession. To date I have not been offered any compensation from K.E.M. Armors for releasing my handgun to someone else without my approval or consent. With all that aside, it would seem that K.E.M. Armors does not care who they sale a firearm to as long as they get paid! UPDATE: I contacted the Better Business Bureau(BBB) to submit my complaint about KEM Armors. The response from KEM Armors to the BBB was full of lies and/or confusion on KEM Armors part. In their response, KEM Armors told the BBB that I told them(KEM) that I suffered a head injury while deployed and have problems remembering things. I have never suffered a brain injury on any of my 7 deployments nor have I told anyone that I have. KEM also submitted documents from their log that has pick up information. The part that shows the information on my handgun was blacked out and no information could be gathered from it. This just proves my original theory that KEM Armors confused me with someone else and released my handgun to him. A simple mistake is acceptable if, and only if, the person/business owns up to the mistake and makes amends, something KEM Armors refuses to do.
