I really, really dislike leaving a less than average review, but my past two experiences were less than average. We had a party of 8. Upon arrival, we were told 15 minutes. It was 12:30 on a Saturday and though the restaurant appeared to be very slow, I do understand how that can be deceiving due to the number of servers scheduled, to go orders, etc. None the less, we waited an hour to be seated. Multiple times, my sister very kindly asked, and they were«almost ready». Our table was set up with menus, chips and salsa… Just sitting there for the last 40ish minutes of our wait. The hostess spent almost that entire time texting on her phone, just no concern or professionalism. During our wait, only two parties came into the restaurant, one 2-top and one 4-top. They were seated promptly, no wait. When we finally made it to the table, our waitress was terribly irritated, even stating how she«hates getting stuck with larger tables.» I worked for Landry’s Seafood House when I was in high school, so I know what is expected and not in the restaurant world. Any thing we needed, we had to wait at least triple the amount of time one should. I will give the waitress credit that she did have 2 other 4-tops, but she didn’t appear to be any kinder to them. Maybe she was just having a bad day and so was the hostess, but when all points of contact are far from hospitable, it’s a turn off.

Great staff, great food! In 5 years I’ve had 1 meal that wasn’t great but I’m still giving them 5 stars because that’s a pretty consistent record in my book. For the guy who thinks you need to bring a salt shaker, not sure what that’s about because we’ve always had a really good experience and if it’s not, they make it right.

Always a good experience with service and rarely a long wait but the menu seems to be more of the same. Everything seems to taste similar. I do LOVE the salsa and the espinaca!

It’s been a bit since I last Unilocaled mainly because dining options are extremely limited in Northern Cass County and lean more towards those of the fast food variety. The wife and I decided to use one of the many school fund raising cards that we purchased and opted for Jose Peppers in Belton. They were busy but we were lucky and got seated right away. Service was on point, drinks were cheap but dinner was as bland as the Baja Desert. Take your salt and pepper shaker if you’re going to this place.

I’ve been to this place 3 times total and haven’t been let down yet. They have a great happy hour starting at 3pm. The house margaritas are delicious! Service has always been friendly. The atmosphere is great. Always a must go when I’m in Belton, MO.

Great staff, great food, great experiences. Can’t say that I’ve had a bad experience in the more than dozen times I’ve been here. I enjoy that they have hand sanitizer on each table. My wife and I enjoy the shrimp tacos.

This has become a local fave. It’s very close to home and the food is delicious. It is a bit noisy, but not unbearably so. It is moderately priced. Make sure to get the Espinaca Con Queso. Very yummy! I am a creature of habit, and typically get a grilled chicken quesadillo(hey, when you know what you like). But the waitress challenged me. She said, «You can get that anywhere… try the Pollo Magnifico.» I did, and it was delicious! The place was clean, and the service and food were both very good.

I just moved here my first Mexican restaurant here. Has to be the most bland white bread Mexican food I have had. Taco had zero flavor and the salsa was watery and I think the added way to much cilantro just so it had flavor. Stick to authentic Mexican food. I would say it’s the McDonald’s of the Mexican restaurants.

My mother, uncle and I went to Jose peppers for the first time while my mom and I were visiting my uncle in Missouri. We went on a busy Saturday night. They were so friendly and they had amazing food! For the first time in my life I asked the waiter to tell the cooks how great everything was! Amazing job you guys and I was completely impressed! Thank you for such an awesome time and dinner. Oh plus, it was crazy how low the prices are!

I had the shredded chicken enchiladas. They were the bomb and the medium salsa was perfect!

Just finished eating here. I’m literally still in the parking lot but I had to write this review as soon as I could. I am from out of town and at first this place looked questionable. I was looking for a Mexican place and stumbled on Joses. The place is nice and clean, I was seated right away because it was just me so I sat at the bar. But there wasn’t much of a line and it was pretty packed. The bartender IMMEDIATELY took notice to some leftover dirty plates and removed them quickly so I could sit down. She then asked me if I wanted something to drink. Literally not even 2 mins from walking in. I also received a menu. She very nice and patient and waited until I was ready. She then saw I was going to eat and immediately brought me silverware and napkins. She was constantly checking on me, getting me another drink when needed, and making sure I was alright. I ordered steak fajitas and wasn’t too impressed with the plating but it’s because I’m used to something different and more authentic. The food was surprisingly good. Really good. The highlight of the dish was the juicy steak strips. The downfall to the plate was the beans and rice — the beans was more like chili and the rice was more like Cajun rice. However I still enjoyed my dinner. They had a full bar equipped with 3 large tvs. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are in the area and hungry for Mexican. The service was OUTSTANDING and the food was great, not authentic but great. I would def come back.

The atmosphere was severely tex-mex but the food and service was great!(Staff, if you’re reading this, please consider changing the music choice. It was terrible!) The Pollo magnifico did not disappoint, especially with a little guac. My husband loved his chimichanga and the little one enjoyed the mac n cheese with fruit on the side. BYFARMYFAVORITEPARTWASTHECHILICONQUESO! EXCELLENT! I highly recommend it!

After eating their espinaca dip I was hooked. My SO and I have been coming back at least once or twice a week. I get something different each time and have been happy with each thing I got.

Decent food, close to home for us if we’re in the mood for this type of food. Love the chips and salsa, I could fill up on those more than anything else. Mixed experiences, one time I loved the fish tacos, second time not so much. Beef & Cheese Enchiladas are always good. Coconut Chicken Salad is REALLY good. Get pretty good service every time we’ve gone, manager is usually walking around checking with tables. Busy on weekends, at least a 30 minute wait during peak dinner and some lunch times.

Already one of my favorites because of the quality of the food. But I want to give a shout out to the manager william. He does such a great job of managing his team and interacting with every customer. He is one of the reasons I love the belton store. Well done sir.

I’m stuffed! Stopped in for dinner after an afternoon movie. We arrived just before 5 and were seated right away. We started with the Espinaca and 25th Anniversary Margaritas, which were great. For an entrée I went with the special of the day which was the Jalapeño Chimichanga. It was a lightly fried flour tortilla filled with grilled chicken, bacon, onion, tomatoes, and cheese then covered in a creamy jalapeño sauce. Our waitress was great, very pleasant and attentive to our needs we were never out of water or anything else for that matter. We will definitely be returning.

First off, Will the manager on duty today was awesome, friendly, helpful and a pleasure to talk with and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We came in late this afternoon to a partially busy restaurant and was seated quickly. Are waitress came to are table and told use about the special and the 25th anniversary margarita. I ordered the pollo magnifico and the margarita. The margarita was delicious and I have never had a bad pollo magnifico. I have been coming here for year’s prior to my Unilocaling career and have had many dishes that I would have again but so far my favorite is the pollo magnifico and the fried stuffed jalapeños appetizer. I say come here and enjoy the food and drinks.

Jose Pepper’s is a great restaurant if you like Mexican food. I had dinner and ordered the Shrimp Fajitas. The shrimp was plumpy and the vegetables that comes with it was very tasty. I love their chips… not salty, but thin and crispy. The waitress, Tiffany, kept coming back to check on me(eating solo), even though she had a large party right next to me. Oh, if you like Margarita’s, I read on the menu(and heard others around me order them) for 2 for $ 7. The service is quick and the staff is remarkable. They all seemed to work together as a team. I would recommend Jose Pepper’s to anyone!
