Went here looking for a dresser today with my daughter and service animal. Went into the shop of a James Miller to look at the dressers he had. He approached me and said dogs were not allowed in his shop. I informed him she is a service animal and is allowed by law to accompany me. He then demanded to see paperwork for her. I then informed him there is no such thing as a certification for service animals and to ask for them is illegal. He leaned in to me and said words to the effect of I don’t care about the law if you don’t get that motherfucking dog out of here I’m going to beat your fucking ass. He then began physically shoving me out. After calling the police and getting a case number. I returned to the flea market to speak with the person who runs it. I presented her with a card with the ADA and Texas guidelines regarding service animals. Her response was«This is private property and if he doesn’t want a dog in the shop regardless of if it is a service animal he doesn’t have to». Texas law states: A person using a service animal is not required to be separated from the animal when using public services or a public facility. A public facility includes a common carrier or any other public conveyance or mode of transportation; a hotel, motel, or other place of lodging; a college dormitory or other educational facility; a business to which the public is invited; a restaurant or other place where food is offered for sale to the public; and«any other place of public accommodation… to which the general public… is regularly, normally, or customarily invited.» Denying entry or service to a person with a service animal is a violation of these laws and carries significant penalties.

of you ever lose something on your clothing record try buying it here before the army garnishes wages. lots of army gear and… live animals from chickens to puppies. there isn’t much a variety or cleanliness though.

In actuality I give it a 3.5. For the area this place is really good. You’re gonna have to dig through some junk to find the good stuff with a few vendors but the stuff displayed under the barns are awesome. I especially enjoy the older ladies selling their antique jewelry for $ 2. I definitely recommend this place.

This flea market varies in what’s available from week to week, even if there are some regular vendors. I enjoy picking through the covered drive up areas where locals come to offer the old fashioned real flea market /yard sale sort of stuff. I rarely leave without a great find. There is a fruit stand that also offers great Mexican bakery items, check it out. I would not come out before 10AM. on any day, the place may be open, but not really moving and shaking by then.
