Outside the restaurant is unassuming and simple. The atmosphere carries inside the restaurant as well. However, the food is anything but. Seldom have I enjoyed such good quality meat and a variety of flavors and options to choose from. The Tortas are absolutely wonderful, and you can easily ask them to adjust the level of spice to fit your preferences. The basic Mexican food, such as tacos, burritos, and the like are all available, but to go with something generic would be a mistake. The menu is all in Spanish with descriptions in English, so honestly I forget the names of some of the other foods I have had there. However, I can attest that anything with beef or chicken will be cooked to perfection, and all plates and their combinations are absolutely wonderful on their flavor quality. This is the perfect restaurant to visit to both pick up some generic Mexican food, but also take your palate on an adventure and explore new options. As for drinks, the horchatas here have beaten my friend’s high standards, and I can attest that they are extremely refreshing and rich in taste. The price is also not bad at all, especially given the quality of the food. It’s wine quality Mexican food at a beer price!

I believe this place is called La Fuente. I’m from San Diego and have been craving some good Mexican food. My husband and I dropped in on a Sunday with empty stomachs and a deep need to fill our Food cravings. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the chips were fresh. The salsa and guacamole hit the spot. The menu offerings are authentic. I ordered tacos with beans and rice. The corn tortillas were some of the best I have had. If you’re looking for a real Mexican restaurant experience give this place a try.

After reading reviews decided to give it a try. No bueno. Started with stale chips and warm salsa. Ended with the realization my guest had a hotdog in his Cuban sand which… The Jarritos was good. Yes I said a hotdog.

We where visiting Beloit College and it was close to the school. We both had the three steak tacos rice and beans. It was clean and the food quality was amazing, the tortillas where homemade. The only problem is I wanted a margarita and they only had bottled beer. We would go back if in the area again.
