I really would love a dark beer with a burger here! Really yummy burgers, but this is a treat not fast food. I would not go if I was not in the mood for a gourmet burger!

I try to eat local when possible. I’ve been to Doc’s twice and both times were just ‘OK’. Tried a customized burger and the Philly cheese — which btw is more like a French dip(even comes with au jus on the side!). While it’s definitely better than the BK that previously held the same location, I would not go out of my way to eat here again.

Doc’s needs some work on their menu. There are too many options and the staff wasn’t very helpful when taking our order. I ordered a chicken wrap that was overpriced and hardly had any chicken in it. On the side I had some fries, but again, the portion size was not sufficient. It seemed like we paid a lot for what we ended up getting. For as much as this place is charging, I could have sat down and had a meal. To feed our family, I expected better food and portions for the price I paid.

You don’t get much for the price. We ordered 2 burgers, 1 soda 1 water and 1 order of fries $ 18. The food isn’t bad but nothing special. Lucy’s is way better.

Very high priced. Got a Italian beef $ 8.99 no drink or fries and the sandwich was not so great.

Had the hamburger with pepper jack cheese and the aoili truffle sauce… omg amazing. Burger was super tasty and the buns were very good quality. The seasoned fries were equally as good as the burger. Love that Doc’s has diet mountain dew and free refills. Grabbed a chocolate shake on the way out and it was one of the best shakes I’ve had. I will go back to Doc’s just to grab a shake. Liked that there were healthy options on the menu. Very clean with lots of TV’s to watch while eating. Staff was very nice and helpful. I’ll be coming back and try one of the salads, chicken sandwiches, or wraps when I don’t feel like eating as heavy. My new favorite burger place in the Beloit/Rockford area no doubt. Yum!!!

Photo: potato bun cheeseburger with lettuce, pickles and ketchup; made it a meal deal for only $ 3! Which included fries and a drink! Not to mention FREE refills! Very impressed with the quality of meat and food overall! Would definitely recommend for individuals on the go. Although everything is made to order service was speedy. Needless to say the place is very clean, has a bright ambiance and the staff is very friendly.

I heard good things about this place from a friend, so I stopped in to pick up a Caesar salad for lunch today. Other Unilocalers have mentioned the wait, but it didn’t bother me. The wait time is similar to fast casual restaurants like a Panera. I was quite pleased with the salad-fresh chicken, garlic croutons, and roasted red peppers, and crispy romaine. I would go back to try other menu items. My friend mentioned that there are many choices for sandwich toppings.

Similar to a number of previous reviews, the prices are very high for what you get. I went with the Italian beef and fries(no drink) and it was $ 10. Pricey for fast food, but on top of that the portion of beef on the sandwich was disappointing. There was a good inch on both ends of the bun that had no meat, and the thickness in the middle did not make up for it. Amount of fries would be equivalent to no more than a small at most other places, and they were nothing special. Would expect more for $ 10. Flavor of beef was good, but not good enough to compensate. They have a number of other sandwiches that sound good, but again, cost is high. Turkey Bacon Ranch sub(my 1st choice to try) was $ 11+tax, couldn’t bring myself to pay that! A couple of the burgers sounded good and they are between $ 8-$ 10. I recently tried Lucy’s #7 and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in the area, for around the same price and it’s a sit down restaurant. I may give Doc’s one more chance and try a burger just to be fair, but they may need to make some adjustments to portions and/or prices to compete.

Needed a fast lunch that was at least close to healthy. Saw the sign, googled it quickly and saw the key phrases… hormone free, antibiotic free, etc. and that they wash the greens in house. Fresh fast food. We weren’t disappointed. Coming from Arizona, where there’s a Chipotle on every corner(fresh fast Mexican food if you’re unfamiliar) this to me was great. Fresh fast American food. I built my own salad, and it was large, fresh and delicious. Exactly what I needed and wanted. My husband had the ham and cheese, which he said was«fine» which translates to bland but nothing wrong with it. I suggested he could have built his own! I will say for the price, they need to up the amount of meat and cheese on the sandwich, and the fries looked on the skimpy side. But delicious nonetheless.(well of course I tried on or two) I think for a new restaurant, they’ll have a few launching pains initially, so those who are reviewing based on slow service or mistakes, I suggest you give them another chance. All new businesses experience glitches. The staff needs time to get their rhythm going. I think the concept is good, the food is fresh and tasty and with a few tweaks here and there they’ve got a good chance of making it.

I had high hopes for this place! However I found the food to be just okay, the wait time is excessive and the prices a bit high for what you got! Hopefully this place makes some adjustments or I don’t see it lasting!

I had to update my original post down to a 2 start after this latest visit. We went in on Sunday morning around 11. The place was dead for a lunch time, I assume it was because the Packer vs. Bear game was about to start. We placed an order to go for 3 create your own burger and 2 kids meals. We were the only people there from the time we walked in to the time we got our food. There was roughly 12 employees there and we got our food to go in about 20 minutes. Now for the good, they didn’t mess up the kids meals. Now for the bad. We ordered one burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, jalepenos, pepper jack cheese, mayo, ketchup, bacon and southwest spread for burger #1. Burger 2 was Lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo, southwest sauce, american cheese, and bacon. Burger 3 was bacon, ketchup, mozzarella cheese. They had a meeting of the minds before getting our order and numbered the sandwiches to the order(which I thought was a great idea). The bad thing was they had it all wrong. Burger #1 came out with mayo, ketchup, bacon, and mozzarella cheese. Burger #2 came with lettuce, tomato, bacon, mayo, ketchup, and pepper jack. Burger #3 came with ketchup, american and bacon and lettuce. The unfortunate thing for us was we got it to go and didn’t find out about the mistake until we got to our destination. No point in calling and complaining at that point since I am not going back. I want to see local businesses survive, but if you have that many people working and that many customers to attend to and its still wrong. There is going to be more problems in the future. With the amount of money that is paid for this which was almost $ 50 I would have expected to at the very least to get it right. I don’t think I will be back for a long time if ever.

Grabbed 2 Classic Burgers to go. I will be back for more! They have very tasty burger meat on a fresh soft bun with crisp fresh veggies. Worth waiting 6 –8 mins for FRESH food. The interior has been refreshed and is clean and open. If you are craving a burger drive on by the Mc Wendy’s and stop in at Docs.

Had they not set themselves up for failure by touting themselves as «seriously good food» I would have given them a 3 star, but as it stands, they get 2. This is a fast food joint… That isn’t that fast. You order at the counter and have the food delivered to your table. Not a bad experience although we had to ask for a paper menu for my fiancé to be able to see all the options to build your own. Personally I drink diet soda or unsweetened iced tea. I’m not a Pepsi fan and that’s the only diet they had in their fountain machine. They had a tea canister set behind but no tea brewed in it. A little disappointing but I survived with water. The food took about 15 minutes to be delivered to our table. It wasn’t a big deal to us, but to people expecting a fast food experience, be aware of that. The food was just okay. It wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad. It just seemed very average. For what you pay I would expect just a little bit more. My fiancé had the classic burger with cheddar. She said that it was definitely a fresh burger but it was just a burger. Nothing special and the bun fell apart. The fry and onion ring portions were definitely on the small side. I had the buffalo blue wrap. It also was just average. The hot sauce was clearly franks. I might give them another try in 6 months to see if it’s better.

Although this is a premature review, I feel the need to contribute. Doc’s opened just recently and it serves a product we all love and adore… Burgers I went in to exclusively try their signature burger, the Doc’s Rx… to start with the burger alone is $ 8, I didn’t change anything just got it as is. After about 7 – 8 min I had my individual burger, wrapped in tin foil, ready to be devoured. I have to say it was pretty damn good. The bun of the bread was soft and flavorful, the juices of the burger were dripping out. It was oozing with cheddar cheese and pickled jalapeños. The meat was significant and flavorful. I didn’t feel the need to add ketchup or mustard. Unlike 5 guys, it is a single patty, but I feel like an $ 8 burger should have a little more substance, but the combination of flavor profiles made it with it. The restaurant itself is a modern look with exposed beams and designed so you order your food and sit with a number so it is delivered to your table. They have a large assortment of sandwiches, subs and sides. They even have ice cream on the side with a Pepsi machine. I will return to further evaluate the menu options available and give a more comprehensive review. For now, based on burger alone I would say it is a solid 3.5−4 stars. I will update again soon
