Shaseleen salon is one of the most amazing places for facial. I have been going to Suong for 6 months now and my skin has never looked so amazing. The facials she offers are amazing. My skin looks 20 years younger since i’ve started getting my monthly facials.
The salon is very clean and warm and welcoming, and prices are great. Suongs facials are a must for everyone to try.

I have been going to Shaseleen’s for facials, waxing, and nails regularly for the last two years and have always been pleased with the results. My mani/​pedi always lasts forever, the waxing is as painless as it can be, and the facials rival the quality of much more expensive salons. Shaseleen’s is always clean, relaxing, and well priced. The customer service is impeccable. Everyone I’ve encountered has been extremely polite and willing to work around my busy schedule. Highly recommend for all your beauty needs!

Shasheleen is the best salon in Belmont to get mani-​pedi. The salon is spotless. The staff are skilled and experienced; courteous and flexible. The ambiance is relaxing and calm. You do not feel like you are on a conveyor belt, stressed out and inhaling fumes, typical of other salons. You leave refreshed, with beautiful hands and feet.

I have probably had a few hundred facials, but Soung’s are among the very best.
Her delivery is knowledgeable, effective, hygienic and relaxing.
She can suss out what is in her domain and what falls in that of an MD. That being said, she does not shy away from a big job. She ‘unearthed’ a subterraneous clump of sebum (that’s a clinic term y’all) which had lived beneath my face for over a decade.
Almost miraculously, you will not look as though you’ve been in a prize fight after major excavation has taken place
She does not cut corners on the quality of products used or equipment.
She also does not up sell you on something you don’t need and will steer your skin to better outcomes if you ask for her recommendation.
I even sent my decidedly un-​spa (male) other half in for nose and back work…
he was so pleased he went back on his own… and his handsomeness was definitely ‘enhanced’.
I am very fussy. The technical quality of Soung’s service is better than any I have encountered in the Boston area. Pricier spas are larger and have more sumptuous trappings, but most of the estheticians don’t have enough knowledge or experience.
I suspect that behind her professional, but relaxed and friendly demeanor
lies a fanatical perfectionist.
I followed Soung here from a spa in Cambridge for her facial and esthetics services.
She has since purchased the business.

This is by far the best place around the Belmont area to get nails done. The owner Song and the staff are fantastic – friendly, accommodating, excellent at what they do and they are genuinely nice people.
The color selection is great and they really take their time to make sure you are happy with their service. When ever my mom comes to visit, this place is always a tops on her list to visit.

Love love love this place a true hidden gem! A lot of people go to Linsdays who are from Belmont. However, this place is so much better and you get more for your money. Never have I seen a salon so clean and sanitary as Shaseleen! Each and every time you get your nails done they open a new package of tools. This salon uses Aveda for lotions etc. And I absolutely love the way the customers are treated when they are seen. The owner Lynn is such a sweet and truly caring woman who is doing a wonderful job!

I went for a facial, and she was pretty great. Easy location, and very nice owner who knows what she’s doing! A hit!

It’s refreshing to find a business owner who truly wants every client of theirs to walk out the door 110% satisfied. I have been to my share of nail salons, Shaseleen is definitely the only one I will ever go to from now on!

I got a Trubate to come here for semi-​permanent eyelash extensions. I have posted my (negative) experience with this salon on the Trubates website but after seeing other users who had similarly bad reviews, if not worse, I decided to write one on Unilocal as well. I’m sure this salon is great for all the other services that they offer but eyelash extensions is NOT one of their fortes. In fact, reading about other people’s experiences, I’m beginning to think they are not qualified to offer this procedure at all — especially for such a sensitive area of the face. At $ 200 for a full set, you’re better off spending your hard-​earned money elsewhere.

On the up side I will say that the staff is friendly and the salon is clean and cute. Parking is off-​street and although I did have to circle around a few times it didn’t take long for me to snag a spot right in front of the salon.
All in all I really wish my first, last and only experience at this salon had been something other than the extensions. I have been on the search for a good salon to be faithful to ever since I moved to MA. The search continues…

I saw a microderm special for the salon and decided to give it a try. I called and the owner Lynn accommodated my schedule and stayed late that evening to fit me in. I showed up and planned on being there for just a few minutes because that’s how long it takes other salons to do a microderm (I’ve had this treatment done at many fine salons). I was there for an hour! She lead me into a beautifully lit and aromatic room with a heated bed. I had no idea what I was in for when she asked me to undress into a robe she provided. I almost wanted to remind her that I only wanted a microderm and any other micro that I’ve had never started out like this. Anyhow I chose to just go along. She started with a very thorough exam of my skin. She then proceeded with a massage of my scalp and neck. She also used hot stones on the back of my neck and shoulders. She didn’t stop there as she continued to massage my arms, hands, feet, and calves. At this point I was drooling. Then came the microderm. She scrubbed EVERY part of my face so well and didnt leave out my neck. I’ve had this treatment done in other salons over the past 8 years and I have never had it done so well. It didn’t end there. She continued with a full facial. Another treatment I’ve had in the past and have never had such a nice experience. After this amazing treatment I was convinced the painful part would be at the register but to my surprise, the massage and facial are part of her microderm treatment. AND her micro is $ 25 less than Boston salon. Seriously? I’m thinking. I’ll definitely be back. Already scheduled my next micro!

I love this salon! They really know how to give you the special treatment to make you feel really special. Definitely a go to place in Belmont.

These people are GREAT at eyebrow waxing. The woman (Deborah) who does mine is always really obsessive and does an incredible job shaping them — i actually feel like the price is worth it! Not so great for bikini waxing or even lip, because they use the kind of wax that solidifies on your skin and then they peel it off. Sometimes it takes multiple times to get all the hair out — which can get painfully long with a bikini wax.

This place is a hidden gem. The shop itself is spotless, peaceful, and cozy, and the owner, Lynn, is a sweetheart who clearly cares about her clients. She’s added a lot of special touches, from putting soft lights in the pedi baths that change color (somehow making a relaxing experience seem even more so) to striving to use non-​toxic products throughout the salon (for example, she carries Zoya polishes, which are formaldehyde– and tolene-​free). On a recent Saturday, I showed up after closing time and she still let me come in and have a full mani/​pedi. My hands and feet have never looked so good! And the prices are reasonable, too. I’m considering going for a facial, something I’ve never done before. I just trust that I’d be in good hands at this place!

I can’t say enough great thing about the salon and the owner. I’ve been going to see Tallin for two years now. She gives amazing facials and does fabulous wax jobs.
Plus, like Lillian pointed out, she and the staff make visit fun. I give credit to anyone that can make me laugh during extractions.
Looking forward to my visit next week.
