Not what I expected. Was disappointing. Most hot foods are cooked in a microwave. Did not bring back the awesome memories of real Turkish food.

Horrible! We ordered delivery from Jimmy’s Café today. It arrived earlier than expected, which was nice but I don’t have much else good to say about this place. I ordered the special bagel. The bagel wasn’t toasted and only the bottom slice was cut in half so when I went to pick it up, the fillings went everywhere! It was so messy and the flavors just weren’t there. My boyfriend ordered the pesto chicken panini which wasn’t bad, just super tiny and nothing special. He also ordered the cucumber and yogurt salad. The salad was so bad! There were literally only 3 – 4 slices of cucumber swimming in thick, bland, unseasoned yogurt. I couldn’t believe how bad that was! Finally, for dessert we ordered the baklava. It was as if instead of syrup, they poured water over the top. It was barely even sweet because of how much water was in it. I took one bite and spit it out. I haven’t been this disappointed in a restaurant in an extremely long time. I don’t like to write bad reviews and had it only been one or two bad things, I probably wouldn’t be writing this, but the entire order was so unappetizing and just very disappointing. We will never order from Jimmy’s Café again!

Wonderful service. Killer bagel sandwiches(perfect for taking on a hike), and the coconut vanilla latte was probably the latte I’ve ever had. I got a breakfast bagel with egg, cheese, and spinach on an everything bagel along with the above noted latte, which was surprisingly unsweet… as I’d kind of half expected but ordered anyway because it sounded pretty dope. And it was. The dopest. They offer other mediterranean delights and there’s a surprising amount of vegetarian stuff(I’m coming back for the lentil-based goods). And not that you’d be heading here for gum, but they carry rad passionfruit Trident flavors that I’ve never seen anywhere else.

Such an AMAZING bagel! Jimmy’s Special Bagel is deff the way to go. Messy to eat but it’s worth it. Bacon crispy, bagel toasted well, juicy & delicious. With a side of freshly squeezed OJ

Enjoyed Turkish coffee(poured into a beautiful cup) with a delicate cookie(soft cookie with caramel inside). A small chocolate-filled cookie that came with the coffee was also good. Very quiet when I went there. There was no music, and I could hear the fridge motor(s?) rumbling.

Put in for a pick up order on my way to an apt and the sandwich was really good but service was not with a smile… Would be nice to have a system for people picking up who have already paid so they don’t have to wait in line.

Not too shabby. Pretty good chicken and artichoke salad. Nice people too. They comped my husband’s sandwich which he accidentally ordered not paying attention to the fact that it had pesto, which he’s allergic to.

Good middle east sandwiches– yummy bawkalawa when they have some. Nice people. No «service» though, even when you leave a tip.

So, I went to see what all the fuss was about. Nothing was wrong with our food but I am not sure this is my favorite place. Perhaps, I need to come back so I can get a better feel for the place. My daughter seemed to have enjoyed her panini. Perhaps, I ordered the wrong thing?

I haven’t come to Belmont often but this is the best meal I have had in the city! Your look at the ingredients on the menu and they put more than the basics on their dishes which puts it above average. #14 was what I got and I enjoyed every bite. Will def come back and customer service was good too.

Excellent paninis and crepes! The best part, however, was the coffee. Very rich and tasty Turkish coffee, and the blended mocha was quite delicious too. Such a pleasure to find the combination of good food and good coffee! Will return for sure.

Went here late on a Saturday morning because my wife and I were too lazy to make breakfast and the menu here looked good. Walked in and noticed that the place was pretty small(a few tables inside). Only had to wait a few minutes for our order and was taken care of by a nice young woman. Ordered the Jimmy’s Special Bagel(wanted to find out what was so special) and my wife ordered the Breakfast Bagel. Both were very tasty. Mine was pretty messy, but most good things are. While I love avocado, it seems to be a pretty good«sandwich lubricant» causing things to slip out of the sandwich pretty quickly. Worth the challenge.

This is the place to go in Belmont. Miray the owner attended to me as if I were the most important client of the day. The coffee is awesome. The menu is very good. Please patronize local businesses. You’ll love this place.

Outstanding, personalized service and good food. I had sandwich #12 which is Greek, along with homemade tomato soup, homemade mango ice tea, & a side salad that comes with the sandwich. Service was prompt & friendly. The menu has a good variety of vegetarian and vegan options.

Tiny place(two tables and some counter seating) hiding some really good food. Paninis were very well constructed and flavorful, coffee was good, desserts were good. This is definitely a breakfast+lunch place(I don’t even think they’re open past 5:30) but I can see coming here regularly whenever I’m in the area. Note that there is a heavy Mediterranean/Turkish influence here, which is awesome, but is in no way suggested by the name«Jimmy’s Café»! Don’t let the name put you off… this stuff is for real!

When I first went to Jimmy’s I thought: wow! five stars! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and they were nearby so I could just pop on over. But, as I kept going, I started to notice big inconsistencies… mainly in when they are open and what you are served. What other reviewers say about their times is correct: I never know when they’ll be open. One day, they could be open late, another day they won’t be open in the middle of the day or closed early. I never know what to expect, so I’ve pretty much stopped relying on them. There are other places to go which will be consistently open when they say they will. As to food, we pretty much order the same thing: Turkey Cranberry Panini and Garlic Chicken Sandwich. The only thing consistent about our order, though, is the fact that the«panini» has never been a panini. The first time was the most delicious incarnation, where the sandwiches were yummy(not a turkey panini, but toasted) and came with delicious salads on the side, a cranberry salad with the Turkey(on wheat with sprouts) and a bacon salad with the Chicken(on Dutch crunch) The second time came with dolmades and chickpeas. These were okay, but I preferred the salad from the first time. The sandwiches were a little different(no sprouts, some different auxiliary fillings) but still good. The times after that were never close to the first wonderful time, much closer to the second time(good, but not amazing). But, the last time was the worst. Not only were the sandwiches the least tasty(pretty dry and skimpy on ingredients), but the sides? Nada. No sides, just the sandwich. I’m sorry Jimmy’s. When we first met, I thought it was the start of a long, fruitful relationship. Turns out you weren’t as into me as I was into you. So, this is where I bid you adieu.

Their almond chai was really good. I got the tomato soup and salad with toasted bread on the side. Very fresh and delicious! I really like the homemade feel to the place. Baklava was good too. Very friendly service!

We decided to try this place after 1 year of hearing about it. What a loss… why we didn’t try it before ?? What a gem of a coffee shop… exactly on our taste and soul. A multitude of European specialities with our beloved Baklava standing out. A lovely counter person(we guess she’s the owner) who prepared everything for us. We’ll be back for sure as soon as work allows us.
