Great little hidden gem in Belmont. Crapes look awesome. People are super nice. Great coffee. Always nice to help out the little guy vs the mega chain

When the café was first open, we thought the food was pretty good even so it took very long to get it. But we ordered sandwiches twice now and got an horrible chewy chicken. The pesto disguised it well but when testing the chicken alone it is very low grade and disgusting. We ate the sandwiches with out it…

I’ve been searching for a good spot to have brunch in Belmont, and I guess the search continues. I was hoping they’d offer something worth returning for, but unfortunately the nutella crêpe we got wasn’t worth it at the price of $ 5. Service is decent, the place is pretty clean, and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. They took our order as soon as we were ready, but in an otherwise empty store at 12:30 pm we were hoping we wouldn’t have to wait 10 minutes for a nutella crêpe. Waiting period aside, the portion was a little small and the crêpe was definitely a little rubbery. I’m not sure $ 5 and 10 minutes of wait time is fair for a crêpe that was probably sitting out for a while. I was hoping they’d have a larger selection of egg sandwiches or egg dishes available, but there’s just one and I wasn’t in the mood to try it. They do serve Illy coffee though, and that might be worth giving them another shot, but I don’t think I can recommend the crêpe.

I think this is the perfect place to hang out in Belmont Center. Free Wi-Fi makes it a frequent destination for me. Great mix of regulars and folks who are coming in for the first time(always pleasantly surprised). Food is delicious — not huge portions, more on a European scale — and the coffee is great. They always make me a special egg, cheese and spinach crêpe, which isn’t on the menu — yum! I appreciate the local hospitality and the home-made food.

Friendly staff. Basic food selection. Was surprised there weren’t more egg dishes for breakfast. If you follow Unilocal for directions it leads you close but to a wrong address on a side street.

Very tasty sandwiches and salads. Latte was fabulous tasting but was served lukewarm. I would definitely return. Great brunch spot.

Driendly staff, clean and artistic please. Reasonably big garden. Today, I had a sesame bagel with crema cheese which was fress and quite good. Their portion might me nit that big. I recoment you to try their crepes with banana, strawberry and nutella, yummy!

As advertised on Unilocal. The«American Diner» in me rebels at the fact that the portions are not enormous and greasy. Which is precisely why this Caffe is awesome. Lox and Montréal bagel perfect with a side of fruit. And Belgian waffle with fruit exquisite. If you are the type that cares about these things, ask specifically for glassware for drinks or you will get plastic cups for water and paper cups for coffee, oddly.

illy coffee… Clean… nice staff… good food… And, best of all, outdoor seating in Belmont center. Outdoor section has been renovated — with fencing, gravel and planters — and looks very appealing. Good use of the small underused patch of lawn. Well done.

May 3, 2015 What a great find! the food was absolutely amazing! try their new Cuban Rueben sandwich, a beautiful example of Reuben. And if you’re in the mood for something sweet, try one of their beautifully put together crepes with Nutella and fruit. this place has only been in business for about a year but the atmosphere and food are off the chart and hopefully it’ll be around for many years to come. chef Miguel and his staff are quite talented and know their way around the kitchen. as an added bonus in season seating is available on the patio grab it or it’ll be gone. Seating including the Patio is on a 1st come 1st serve basis. I recommended to Chef Miguel that they change that.

Fell in love with this little gem! Fantastic, friendly service, adorable little café, and great food make this the perfect breakfast or lunch stop! The chocolate croissant and cinnamon roll are flaky and delicious. The crepes are amazing! Cannot wait to go back and try a panini! Will definitely be going back. Leonard street is a great place to browse as well. Beautiful boutiques and gift shops line the avenue making it the perfect place to spend the afternoon.

In need of a solid Wifi breakfast café that’s not overcrowded with no parking, made my way to this quaint, cute(has some art work and history about Belmont and café’s name on the walls) café highly rated on Unilocal.Had a delicious, well made«Smoked»(something) panini — bacon, lettuce, tomato, gouda cheese with two glasses of tap water and their ice coffee. Employees were cheerful, sociable, intelligent, and down to earth. Service was great! They were generous enough to let me overstay for me to do some work. Great food, decently priced, and enthusiastic customer service! PS — Address: For some reason, Unilocal or Googlemap directs you to 7 Alexander St. right around the corner. So you have to punch in the actual address again, or you might think it’s an old, vacant(shut down) house!

On a busy street in Bellmont with plenty of street parking, you will come across a quaint one story brick building with Café on the side wrapped in ivy. Once you walk through the doors you will be greeted by a friendly staff, and while the menu is short, the coffee is delicious and whatever sandwich you end up ordering is made with top quality ingredients and prepared by professionals. I cannot recommend this place more. With such a small number of items on the menu it was very easy to find out what my favorite sandwich is, the smokestack, fantastic. In closing, should you find yourself on that busy Bellmont street, park anywhere, enjoy the walk to the Bellmont Café, sit down inside or outside, and take a bite into one of the areas best sandwiches. Happy dining.

Pretty decent grub. Yummy coffee, they serve Illy coffee/espresso. They do a good dirty chai(chai latte w/espresso). The cinnamon bun is basically a cinnamon sugar croissant in the shape of a cinnamon bun. Not what I wanted, but still good. They do bake their own goods, so doen’t let the Starbucks looking cold case throw you off. Montréal bagels are good and light. Ham and cheese is where its at.

After reading all these lovely reviews, I hate to only give this place three stars but until I have a better experience that rating will stand. I finally had a chance to go to breakfast here and I was a bit underwhelmed. I am a big loose tea person and I was happy to see that they had that and it was Mem Tea. There was not a lot of diversity to choose from but I settled on a pot of English Breakfast. I decided to go light on the meal so I just ordered a toasted baguette with jam and a fruit cup. Maybe the person doing the ringing in was new but every question I had, he had no idea what the answer was. My baguette was ok but it was just toasted with no butter(other places usually give you butter but my bad for not asking) and the jam was the packets of smuckers. They should really go the extra step and use good jam. I mean the bread was really good, why«ruin» it with average jam. They forgot my fruit cup so I had to remind them and they told me to just take it. It was only cantaloupe and strawberries. The cantaloupe was ok, the strawberries were days past edible(showed them, no reaction). They also forgot my pot of tea and then wanted to charge me again. It took several minutes to explain that I never got my tea so please don’t charge me again. Once I got the tea, they did not have anything for me to put the tea bag into … English Breakfast needs to brew for 3 to 4 minutes, otherwise it gets bitter. Other teas like a Roobois can steep longer and don’t necessarily need to come out of the pot but I digress. The spot is nice and it has outdoor seating. I will give it another time and hope they were having an off day.

Lovely little quaint café in Belmont. The service, atmosphere, and food clean and delightful. Menu nice. Surprisingly, not expensive for the high quality. We had fresh fruit, belgian waffle, Montréal bagel(baked not boiled which makes it fluffy and delicious and not chewy). We were staying in Cambridge, but kept driving to Belmont just to have breakfast here every day! Not fancy, not exotic, but what it is, it does perfectly.
