Abrupt help. Sent me on a wild goose chase of the store looking for something they don’t carry.

This is hands-down one of the best lunch spots in the area. The selection is really, really big, from a giant salad bar, to 12 different soups, to sandwiches, Chinese, and other pre-prepared dishes. Sometimes I’m actually overwhelmed by all the choices, but I usually stick to the salad and soups. The soups always smell amazing, and I’ve had a couple decent ones(like the lobster bisque — not world class, but tasty and well-priced). The salad bar can get expensive, so use the little cups provided to put your dressing on the side, and be wary of heavier items(I usually go for spinach, cheese, raspberries, and some nuts — keep it light to get a good deal). I’ve had the Chinese occasionally, and it’s honestly better than some of the other local take-out spots. Some of the rest of the store feels out-dated, and aisles are small. Definitely wouldn’t do my weekly shopping here, but its fine for picking up a few things for the office. Again, lunch is the real hit here.

This ShopRite in Manasquan is the best ShopRite I’ve ever seen. And it should be, since they proclaim themselves to be «World Class.» Most ShopRites I’ve seen are dusty and dingy, and look like they haven’t been updated since the 1980s. This ShopRite is comparatively clean and modern, with an extensive selection of produce, all kinds of cheeses, baked goods, meats, frozen foods, etc – pretty much everything you could be looking for can be found, provided you take the time to look for it. True to ShopRite fashion, the signs are old and faded and the fluorescent lighting is a bit much, but these are things that help preserve the ShopRite experience.

Everything a massive supermarket should be-spacious, well lit, aisles upon aisles of shimmering merchandise. The local newspaper has voted it the best supermarket for ten straight years. This is not the place to just come for a quart of milk-this is the place to come when you are shopping for an entire month, have 7 kids, are cooking for 12 – 24 people etc. The only thing that keeps this from a 5 star rating is the pre-pared foods-just okay with some good thrown in. Prices are decent and the staff seem to know what they are doing have never had a problem.
