Hooked cafe

Really cute place, super friendly servers. However, we waited over 40 minutes for omelettes– average tasting omelettes. That would be the only reason I won’t be returning.

Amazing. Everything from the chicken to the side. Ribs are fall off the bone. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Belmar. I will be a regular customer here. I recommend this 100% a must try

Hooked Café is my favorite breakfast/​lunch café in the area. New items are their Hooked Omelet made with grilled shrimp and avocado. Today I had their fresh homemade vegan veggie burger. This is a must have item. By the way, their entire menu is a must have item. Hats off to John, Peggy and Pedro for serving fresh quality food at affordable prices. Enjoy!

Had a wonderful breakfast here with my daughter. It is located at the train station in Belmar.
The place is small with 4 picnic tables outside under umbrellas. I looked inside & received a very warm greeting from the gentlemen behind the counter. I noted a few stools at a counter with several editions of the Daily Times sitting on the counter, presumably for patrons to read. It was a glorious day so we opted to sit outside.
We were greeted by a very personable young woman almost immediately who took our drink orders. She came out several times to take our orders but we were taking our time & just enjoying the company. She was not pushy in the least & had no problem with our procrastinating.
I finally decided on pork roll, egg & cheese on a roll with hash browns (my guilty pleasure). The sandwich came out quickly & hot & was quite tasty. My only negative was that the hash browns came out on the sandwich, which I did not expect. I would have preferred them on the side. My daughter however loved the hash browns on her sandwich.
I will definitely return to this little breakfast nook.

My daughter found Hooked on Unilocal! We were coming from Essex, Monmouth & Ocean Counties & meeting for brunch. Wow! Outstanding food! Cute & friendly place… railroad station. Met Peggy, an owner, who is so warm & welcoming. Like meetg up w/​an old friend again. Food was sooo delicious! Don’t miss her key lime pie either! We waited for our group to arrive & noticed people in & out with take-​out orders. A great sign. Michelle, our waitress, was excellent & very attentive. Loved this little Breakfast Nook located in the Belmar Train Station Plaza. The owner is on the Grill so the menu is consistently delicious. The Staff is attentive and friendly. It is small but the outdoor seating doubles the capacity on nice days. The menu is limited but assures everything is farm fresh. I look forward to coming back for lunch next time and trying the soup. I can see where it is easy to get Hooked on Hooked!!!

What a great little gem of a place! It’s tiny so you may have to wait but we were lucky and didn’t have a wait and even got a tiki table outside. The wait staff was super friendly and the food was really good. We all ordered wraps and each one was tasty and filling. I took half home actually. Prices are decent too. Loved the outdoor seating; it felt like we were on vacation!

Best service. Great background music. The best Key lime pie ever. Been there the last couple of Friday’s while I was waiting on my train to get home in NYC. One of my highlights while in Jersey in the pie and French toast.

I love this place! The owners are super nice, the food is great, service is great and it’s a very intimate atmosphere.

Great breakfast sandwiches! My pork roll egg and cheese with hashbrowns inside was amazing. Sandwich came out hot and cooked to perfection. Service was great– family feel. We will definitely be back.

Great little place we happened to stumble upon on our trip to belmar. Honestly it is like a best kept secret of belmar, just like the staff said they don’t advertise for it much because it is such a small place. I bet it is packed everyday in the summer when they double there amount of seating outside. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the décor and theme was right up my alley. Talk about inviting, if you like fishing or nautical or even Taara music come right in and feel at home. The food is nothing crazy, just a list of straight up breakfast and lunches such as egg sandwhichs and hamburgers. It was great food though, all the ingredients taste fresh. It is built right into the belmar train station almost behind 10^th Abe burrito. Definitely a great little spot and a must try

The Wall Breakfast Club has been around and FINALLY a great breakfast! The owners were so cool and accommodating ! I finally found tasty home fries… Oh yea! Going back for Key Lime Pie soon! Oh yes for you seafood lovers, chowder and fish are available early! Def going back!

Tried this new place. Owner was friendly and welcoming. Had the pork roll, egg, and cheese which was delicious. My son had the scrumptious French toast. The wrap was good too. Look forward to picking up my breakfast and taking to the beach in the summer.

Cute café by Belmar Train Station. We came here to eat before going to the Octoberfest Beer Festival nearby. Owner was a pleasure to talk to and the food is pretty good. My favorite dish was the broiled flounder sandwich. It had a bite of a kick to it but the flavor was amazing. The old bay grilled shrimp and mango wrap was good and I heard great feedback about their burger. Seafood Chowder had a lot of seafood in it, but i found it to be a little bit more on the salty side. Great prices and awesome service!

Great little spot. They’re sandwiches are what your body wants after a night of drinking. Good food good prices… Get the fully rigged sandwich with avocado can’t go wrong.

This place is a gem. Have eaten at Hooked Café a few times now, and each time it has been great. The food has been outstanding each and every time and the service is always friendly and efficient. Love the egg sandwiches, especially when loaded with hash browns and avocado. The tuna melt is also on point and delicious. Good portions and the prices are more than reasonable. I’ll be going back every week. Love it!

Second visit here and I’m happy with the food and service. Not cheap mind you with a tab for the two of us coming in at $ 21 with tip, none the less a nice breakfast experience. Pork roll egg and cheese with several accouterments was delicious and an order of french toast very good in deed. Their decaf coffee was a nice blend to round out the experience. If you are local to the Belmar area be sure to stop by.

Came for breakfast with my girlfriends after going out for our one friends bachelorette get-​together. My one friend created her own sandwich and I got the same. It was egg, cheese, pork roll, hash brown, and avocado. It was sooooo good and I was so stuffed after eating the whole sandwich, but I could have done without the hash brown. Hash browns have that greasy taste too it and. bait of an after taste for me… but the sandwich was still delicious. The atmosphere was very cute with hut umbrellas on the outside seating.
Downfall is the inside. If you need to use the bathroom you have to go to the back of their kitchen area and it smelled so bad walking through that area. They also use the bathroom as storage of soda and such on shelves close to the ceiling. I have watched out particles float through the air when you flush so I found this to be not so clean to store items in here.
Other than the bathroom this place is a must try. We all enjoyed our dishes!

Great breakfast spot in Belmar plaza. Right of the train tracks. I had the buttermilk pancakes with an egg and bacon. Bacon was crisped up nice and pancakes were fluffy with a distinct buttermilk flavor. Coffee was average. Best seating is outside.

Came here for breakfast today with my girlfriends and we all loved the food. We sat outside and they have these cute little tiki tables. Service was quick and friendly. 3 of us got the egg, cheese, pork roll, rigged (hashbrown), and avocado on a roll. It was amazing! The bread was nice and soft and all the flavors just came together to make a bangin’ sandwich. It hit the spot. The iced coffee was average and the inside of the place is nothing special. However, I recommend coming here and sitting outside on a nice day. There is parking right in the plaza.
