Love this place! Had the Cobb salad and my friend Had the Rose salad. Both were amazing! The service was excellent. Cute and clean the place has a quaint feeling like and old time diner but current. If I had to say one thing that wasn’t perfect it is that they could Use a little more space between tables. The women sitting next to us were talking and it was hard to hear anything over that. I will be sure to recommend this place to anyone interested in lunch or dinner in Bellmore!

Came here on a Tuesday for lunch, and it was busy. The place is very quaint and cozy. But it’s def not kid friendly. Place is pretty small so try to come without kiddies. Food was great and price was average. I will definitely be visiting again! Wish they had more gluten free options

I’m not used to waiting out the door for a restaurant in Bellmore, but I’m also not used to a place like this being in Bellmore. The breakfast and brunch here simply can’t be beat! I’ve had a few different dishes, including pancakes, chorizo benedict, and a vegetable omelet, and each dish has been better than the last. To make it even better, they serve pork belly instead of bacon, which is a fantastic change of pace. The space isn’t overly decorated, but it’s cute and nice(a far cry from many of the other businesses that have occupied this building over the years). Service has always been attentive and friendly, even when the place is crawling with people eating and people waiting for tables. I can’t recommend this place enough, but you should try to get there early if you want to avoid the wait.

One of my favorite places to eat around here. The food and customer service is great. I always get the morning rose special. My eggs are always cooked perfectly and I love the included sausage, toast and potatoes. My boy gets the chicken sandwich and enjoys it as well.

You won’t regret coming here. It’s like a personal chef just walked in your house, crammed 20 tables in your dining room and served you homemade breakfast! Saturday brunch was packed. We had to wait about 30 min, but we took a nice walk around the dreary empty Bellmore while listening to jazz music overhead through their lovely town speakers attached to every lamppost. The best part were those free mini chocolate chip muffins — warm, soft and sublime. I should have asked for more in the beginning. We opted for savory instead of sweet. I had the Chorizo Eggs Benedict, she had the Spinach Omelette. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was amazing and lemony. The chorizo was a little dry and I wish it was cut smaller instead of big chunks. It made it hard to eat. My girlfriend’s omelette was very flavorful and airy but the Bleu cheese gave it a sour note and a weird texture. The food I had didn’t wow me this time, but it’s not everyday when you receive fresh food with love. I really appreciated the care that went into the food and I’m excited to try the Voodoo Berry Pancakes next time! Defn a unique brunch spot on LI Recommended: Garlic Chorizo Eggs Benedict

Our 1st visit to Morning Rose Café was today, Valentine’s Day with my Hubby. The food was delicious, all except for my Husband’s side of Grilled Turkey. He said the consistency was«off». They offered a substitution, but he opted to just have them take it back. It was taken off our bill. The Havana Skillet was awesome and the Pecan Pie Stuffed French Toast got rave reviews as well. The only reason that I took a star off is because there are too many tables in such a small place. I felt as if we went to breakfast with the strangers at the next table. They heard our conversation, we heard theirs. The staff couldn’t even get between the tables easily to refill coffee or water. We were also very cold, but not their fault, it was 2 degrees out.

Crowded and overwhelmed at times, but food is fresh and delicious. Menu has changed a bit over the years, always pleasant changes. Staff is friendly and tries accommodating children and large groups, even though the place is tiny.

Great place In the center of the village. Go early because they get packed quickly. Food is delicious and comes out fast. So far every time I have gone the food and service was spot on. This place only opens for breakfast and lunch so go before 2 pm or you will be out of luck.

We have been devoted fans of Morning Rose almost since it opened. Everything is delicious, made to order, and unique. The chef, Roberto Baez, it’s amazing and he puts his flair on every dish. Even the simple buttermilk pancakes practically float above the plate. The frittatas and omelets are always great, the one with chorizo sausage being my personal fav. Try MRS for lunch too. Great burgers and salads, or you can get breakfast all day.

This place is it for a brunch spot. Expect a wait for their delicious food. When you’re seated your food is out promptly and INABUNDANCE. They don’t skimp here and I love that. Lemon poppyseed pancakes with the fruit compote was my favorite and my cappuccino was also good. Will definitely be back again!

If you are the one who loves Sunday morning breakfasts then this review might be of help to you. It took us good 40 minutes to drive to this place and there was a long wait for the table. Anyhow after a wait of 20 – 25 minutes we finally got our seats and we ordered immediately. I got a Voodoo berry pancake along with a black bean burger. The poppy seeds pancakes came with a berry coulis and we switched fries with a garden salad for burger. The food missed my expectations even though the complimentary corn muffins they served in the beginning were quite good. But it’s a nice place for a small drive from NEwyork city especially on balmy Days!

Awesome breakfast. Without a doubt the BEST home fries I have ever eaten.(Known here as Skillet fries) They start you off with homemade muffins(complimentary). Portions are large. You can easily share or take home for later. All the food is phenomenal. Not cheap, but fairly prices for the quality food you are getting Really a hidden gem in the town of Bellmore.

YES! I’m so happy to have found a fantastic brunch spot closer to our new home in Levittown, thanks to Unilocal! Our go-to spot, Maureen’s Kitchen in Smithtown is still one of the best on LI, but Morning Rose is just as good, maybe even better. They offer up more creative/gourmet dishes, such as Thanksgiving Waffles, a special for this weekend. Waffles made from stuffing, piled high with turkey, topped with gravy and served with a side of cranberry jam. I couldn’t get enough! It put me in the spirit of Thanksgiving for sure. The Southern Waffles(Chicken and Waffles) were amazing, and served with four different dipping sauces. We also had the pumpkin waffles, which were so soft and fluffy. I am singing your praises and will be back for certain!

I came here with some friends this past weekend for brunch after a movie. I have been very eager to try it after reviews on Unilocal. Even though it was very busy, we were seated right away. The place has a quint, homey feeling, adding a bit of character to Bellmore that is quite exciting. There were plenty of fun things on the menu but I decided to go with the popular chicken and waffles, something that has been on my food«bucket list» for some time. We first got served delicious, but crumbly corn muffins that came with butter and yummy berry jelly. I felt they could have been served a little warmer. One of my friends ordered the same dish as me and another friend ordered an omelette which looked delicious and was very substantial. Some of the sauces had a distinct taste that I wasn’t sure about but over all we all enjoyed our meals and I actually ended up bringing some of mine home. Prices were also somewhat reasonable for the style of food that it is. I’ll definitely be returning to try other things and I recommend this place for brunch as well.

This is my first time dining at Morning Rose Café & honestly it will probably be the last. The food was good but everything else I wasn’t a fan of. First of all this place is about the size of my kitchen & dining room combined. Luckily I beat the Saturday brunch rush by about an hour. We were seated immediately. Very tight seating –I was on the outside of the aisle and must’ve gotten bumped into by everyone who walked past! The server was sweet and she took our orders quickly. The food came out pretty quickly as well. The food was good. Your average breakfast spot. Pancakes were really good and the waffles were OK. I got chicken with waffles, it was alright but I’ve definitely had way better. Didn’t like the sauces it came with and I had to request hot sauce. The presentation on everything was cute but too much powdered sugar –very messy/the main reason I try to stay away from funnel cakes at carnivals lol. They cover pretty much everything with powdered sugar here. So here’s were this place began to rub me the wrong way: obviously it’s Saturday and a lot of people like to enjoy brunch. It started getting crowded and I was feeling super rushed. Like to the point where I knew I wasn’t finished and I said to the guy to just take it. One of my pet peeves is when I’m trying to enjoy my experience and I’m being rushed for other people. They were taking up stuff of the table without asking me if I was done. And after I got annoyed and told the guy to take the plate within 2 seconds(literally) the check was slapped on my table. All in all, decent food, Cramped space, OK service… be prepared to inhale your food & run out the door.

Ordered: The king cakes(with Nutella instead of peanut butter) Pros – The pancakes were fluffy and light. The bacon balanced the sugary hazelnut flavor. They also gave complimentary mini corn muffins with this great berry jam.

Morning Rose Café(MRC) is #4 on our Newsday Top 100 Restaurants bucket list. People often ask me «What does it take to get a 5-star rating?» Go visit MRC and you will see EXACTLY what it takes. It takes great food, great people, a great atmosphere and finally it has to serve me something I just can’t get anywhere else. MRC did that with every dish they put on the table. Remarkable. The atmosphere is very nice. Even though they put as many tables as they possible could in a small space, it somehow works out to be comfortable. And even though it’s categorized as cheap eats, they find their way to bring out the cloth napkins and padded chairs. Nice. We put in our order, and before we knew what was happening, here were three of the most lovely house-baked chocolate chip muffins on the house(see picture). They were delicious, but if you look at the picture you will see a little dish of the most wonderful jam on the side. The jam is a combination of blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry and cranberry to create this amazing flavor. The cranberry actually made me think there was a little bit of cinnamon or allspice in the jam because it had a note of spiciness to it. You cannot get this jam anywhere else I know. My son ordered their Southern Belgium, a chicken and waffles combo that comes stacked on a spear(see picture). The chicken is organic and buttermilk-soaked and fried perfectly. The waffle is soft and moist. But on the side there are three containers with maple syrup, black pepper and bacon gravy(oh YUM) and chipotle honey. I have NEVER had anything like the chipotle honey. You take the chicken, dip it in the little pot, and you first get pure delicious honey. Then in about four seconds the chipotle kicks in with a zing! Oh my goodness it is soooo good. I have never tried anything that even resembles this. My wife had the Voodoo Berry Pancakes(see picture). These pancakes are huge and the homemade blueberry compote on top is luscious, But underneath it are these two lemon poppy seed pancakes that match off against the compote just right. Then you slather some of the vanilla whipped cream from the side. Goodness gracious. Before today, if someone told me to go get lemon poppy seed pancakes, I would not know where to go. Now I do. I had the MRC Corned Beef Hash(see picture). I would like to thank MRC for ruining corned beef has for me, because I will never be able to order it anywhere else again. They make their own corned beef and the hash is crispy-chunky-awesome just the way I like it. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the rye toast is delicious. But if you look close at the picture you will see a little tureen of hollandaise sauce. This just sends the dish over the top. I have never had corned beef hash with hollandaise sauce before, and now I can never have corned beef hash without it ever again. It marries with the egg and oozes through the hash and the whole thing is just glorious(I don’t know another word for it). The people at MRC are friendly and happy to be there serving us. They were happy to be there. We walked out simply stunned at the food, and by the way, on top of all that the portions were huge. This place is what dining is all about. 5-stars? There was never a doubt.

This place has been on my radar for a little while now since many of my respected Unilocal friends have reviewed this place and they vary greatly — I had to experience it for myself. We came in early on a Sunday(8:45am) and were taken to a seat in the front corner of the restaurant, which was fine by us because I usually get stressed when sitting so closely with other diners and have others hovering nearby waiting for a table. This place is relatively small and tightly packed. Décor is very nice with background music, but the interior is probably better shown on the photos here. The service was on point — got coffees and water right away. A sample of a couple of muffins with butter and jam were brought out as well. Waitress took our order as soon as we were ready. Despite being busy, attended to refills throughout the meal. The food is some of the best breakfast/brunch food you can get and the price reflects that — its a little spendy. I tried an omelet/frittata with smoked salmon, shallots, spinach, havarti cheese topped with holandase sauce. It was done very well and served with some of the best home fries I ever had. I have to start remembering I don’t like smoked salmon cooked inside eggs, no place ever does this correctly. Smoked salmon in general is not suitable to cook IMO(Again, remember this Mike! lol). No toast was served with this, which was surprising because of the cost of the meal. My wife got perfectly poached eggs with bacon, home fries and toast, which was a hearty multi-grain type. Eggs were done perfectly — she enjoyed her meal very much. I will compare this place to Thomas’ Ham and Eggery(a favorite of mine), where this place is a more refined experience, in a busy, tightly packed space with well made breakfasts, but in this case, more expensive. I can easily see the wait/tight space becoming an issue here because you are paying a bit more you may decide its not worth the effort. The issues makes the varying reviews understandable, but on this occasion I had a great experience.
