Ordered from here for the first time with new owners. I have yet to find a pizza place in Bellmawr that has everything I like. Either the pizza is good and the wings and sandwiches are not and vice versa if you know what I mean. Today I ordered from Italia. I ordered a pizza, cheesesteak, wings and eggplant parm sandwich. Everything was very good and delivery was fast. They would have received a 5 star review if the pizza cooked a little longer.

I had an Italian hoagie and my girl had a cheesesteak. Her steak was wonderful! My hoagie was less so. I was asked if I wanted onions and peppers. I did and my sandwich arrived SMOTHERED in them. I’ve had many Italian hoagies, and this one fell right in the middle. Very spartan décor with 3 TVs, all with no volume and no captions. There was some music playing out of speakers, but at such a low volume whatever was playing was unidentifiable.

I would recommend this place to anyone! I was in the area for two months on business and found myself eating here 2 – 3 times a week. I favor the pasta dishes in the menu and never once ordered something and thought it was less than perfect. Clean clean clean! The restaurant is maintained and clean to the what I believe a very high level of standards. Whether you’re dining out or getting delivery give Italia a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

1st off have to say, calling up to reserve for 25 and being told yes no problem was a very good start. Staying at the local HoJo’s this spot was quite convenient. Team coming from the movies most of us ran late, not an issue. They still accommodated us. The menu is quite plentiful. Restricted to pasta for the team having a choice of 6 – 8 different pastas was great. Portions generous and some of the boys finished cleaned their plate! Parents ordered on their own, separate checks no prob. I had my fav chicken parm hero which haven’t had in a long time was quite a large order — I was quite happy! Others ordered the penne ala vodka, couple of antipasto salads, etc. Everyone was quite satiated. Service was fine for such a large group(able to keep us all in the same area together). Big thanks to Joe and staff for being so accommodating and having patience for our team dinner. Surprisingly boys better behaved than I expected. If looking for a good local spot, I highly recommend Italia. Ironic they’re known for their pizza but none of us ordered! Next time!

New Owners! Woohoo after 30 years sliding backwards from top of the line Pizzeria to o-hum-ordinary. Saw the sign–«New Management» so, the family stopped in to check it out this week at lunch to discover what was the change as I remembered the old memories growing up I had at Italia. it was looking kind of the same BUT the FOOD/lunch ordered was the best surprise ever. Simple order of Large Cheese Pizza, Garlic Knots, Fries, Tuna Hoagie served by an owner –Joe. It more than satisfied for taste and freshness. I haven’t had a Tuna hoagie that fresh and full since the«old days» and enjoyed eating it to very last bite of that long oversized Italian roll. The pizza crust was light and crisp, fries clean cut and fresh. That is the way food need to be served, Fresh-Plenty-and a fair price. We are going to go back again with these choices and try other menu items. I want to shout out, hey try Italia’s on the BHP in Bellmawr that was recently taken over by the original owner of Vito’s of Cherry Hill.

Decided to try the pizza now that they have new ownership. It was very good, will definitely try again. Glad they have a new owner cause we had to stop eating there, it had really gone downhill. Tried the Chicken Parm Pan pizza. It was pretty good. It’s very heavy. The crust was thick & very crispy on the bottom, very yummy. It came with extra sauce on the side, which was nice to put a little on the top. One slice is very filling!

Italia’s on the BHP in Bellmawr has recently been taken over by the original owner of Vito’s of Cherry Hill. I bought the guys who are doing some work at my house, Meatball Subs. First, they were ready when promised…1st Star, the size of the sandwiches, the weight of the bag gave me a hernia and it was smoking hot…2nd Star, place is super clean, pizza in display case look amazing(had a slice of white it was fresh, mouth watering, I could of ate a whole pie) 3rd Star, reasonably priced(6.75)…4th Star and the most important Star came from the workers, Muy Muy Bien, 5th Star!!! Bye For Now… Ack…Ack!

I’ve been a customer here for 30 years. At one time they had the best pizza and dinners around. Friends from Maryland and Connecticut would stop and bring their Sicilian pizza home with them the parking lot was so full u had to walk from a block away to pick up your order. But not anymore. In 2007 they had a fire and it took them two years to rebuild. The opening was anticipated unfortunately they had the same hard to maneuver parking lot The prices were higher when they reopened but that did not matter the food was still really good … Then something happened and I don’t know what exactly it was Food quality started to slip. The steak sandwiches tasted horrible and I loved their cheesesteak with pepperoni. I was taking business clients for their lunch and dinner specials. Then one day at one in the afternoon I stopped in with a client asked for the lunch specials the waitress told me she had to ask and then I realized no one was in there for lunch that day aside from take out. The dinners slipped and it just seemed like they no longer wanted to cultivate a restaurant business one waitress who also had to take care of walk ins and answer the phone I still continued to get pizza there even though it was rather expensive I still thought it was great but then the sauce started to get overly oiled down and the cheese used was imitation not real mozzarella How can you tell? The pizza has an oil slick on the top of the pie and it does not melt correctly and it does not have that stringy consistently In all fairness the owner reached out to me and asked me to return but I have no desire to do so there are so many choices out there and places to spend my money. I’ve found new local favorites. In all honesty none of these places met up to the Italia standard of sciclian pizza of the old days but they use real cheese and that is most important to me Your mileage may vary. But I feel it is a shame when a long standing neighborhood staple slips

Ordered online and the site said delivery time was 30 – 45 minutes. After you submit your order, it says during peak times it might be over an hour. After a phone call to the place and over an hour and 15 minutes later our food arrives(we are less than a half a mile away from them). We only ordered two sandwiches. One of the sandwiches was a wrap and we ordered it with no onions and no tomato(comes with lettuce), but it came with tomato no lettuce. Both sandwiches were terrible. The nachos that came with them were stale and the cheese dipping sauce had a metallic aftertaste. Someone told me the same family owns Angelo’s in Washington Township. I not sure I believe them because this place is horrible and Angelo’s is great.

Wow just happen to take wrong exit and ended up at this wonderful restaurant. Server couldn’t have been better the food was amazing fresh to order watched as they sliced the meat for the cold cuts. Needless to say we ended up taking over half of our food home(due to the portion size) and ordered more to take home. Will make the 4 hour trip just to eat here

Walked in for lunch. Not one soul there. Wait a minute guy notices me from kitchen and had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth puffing away from inside the kitchen. He was the cook. No thank you! I walked out

My family and are from Washington, DC and we have been going to this restaurant for 20 years. Their food is always made to order, the ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and everything on the menu is delicious! We recommend the pizza, fettuccine alfredo, any chicken dish, and their sandwiches. Their Philly cheese steak is out of this world. We no longer go to the big name places in Philadelphia. In addition to the food, our service has always been impeccable! We always feel welcomed and at home. The servers are all very nice, friendly, and polite and management is great! Take our word for it… we drive 160 miles quite often for good, authentic Italian food! Italia Pizzeria is definitely the best place to go!

1 not so busy restaurant or pizza place Order of 6 garlic knots 1 plain slice 1 white slice 1 pepperoni slice 1 cheese Sicilian 1 tomato Sicilian 3 sodas Order taken by the frazzled young pretty Rosanne Rosannadanna at the counter register. She forgets to add the sodas and says the total is $ 33.90. Ok whatever. Me and my two daughters sit and wait for the food to be heated. All the while she is condescending and rude to the cook manning the oven. And I mean rude. She then brings over the food in pizza boxes and puts them at our table and blurts out«Oh, you said you were taking it out.» I don’t need to say anything as she realizes we have been way too comfortable sitting at this one of many bistro tables obviously eating IN. So, she takes back the boxes, barks and blames the cook she told what to do with our food and brings it back on plates. But the amount of food is way too much as she brings 3 extra Sicilian slices. When I mention we didn’t order those extra slices she says«That’s what you ordered». I corrected her that I did not and I hope I didn’t pay for them. Her response was«I did charge you but I will refund you». She takes two slices back and when returning for the third says«just keep that one» and leaves. As we eat, I’m wondering if she has enough customer service wherewithal to bring me my money without having to ask. No chance. We finish and I have to now wait behind another customer at the register to then ask if I understood her correctly that I was overcharged. After waiting while she talks down to the delivery guy, I get to inquire. Her response–«no I checked it and you were charged correctly. I figure to heck with it but as we walk out to my car I calculate and figure for sure that I was charged an extra $ 7 – 10 for the food I didn’t ask for nor want. I went back in to ask her about it and possibly a receipt. She did about everything possible delaying it while telling me no problem that she can get it. First it was punching a bunch of screen tabs but producing nothing. Then stopping to run food out to the dining area. Then on way back telling me she has to get it in back area but not before throwing some food in the oven. Then telling me the oven cook or delivery guy can do it while they’re standing together near me. The cook says he only cooks and the delivery says he doesn’t know how when she walks away. This place or she is a mess. Then she disappeared for a good 5 minutes. I walked out to leave it up to karma. I would never come back here and Little Miss Mussolini owes me money and an apology.

I remember Italia being very good when I was a kid, those days are gone. We gave it a try for the first time in years. I went there with a Valpak coupon they mailed out, and the old lady at the register– who I am assuming is one of the owners, took some very l-o-n-g minutes over scrutinizing the coupon front and back. I thought she was going to call in the secret service counterfeit inspection team. It went on long enough for me to ask her if she thought I had just printed the coupon and if they wanted people to actually use the coupons they had mailed out. No answer, no reaction as she reluctantly honored it. The two pizzas I took home were just fair and still fairly expensive with the coupon. There is a lot better pizza in Bellmawr and without the parking issues on the Black Horse Pike. They were empty the Friday night we went which isn’t a good sign. As for the coupon diagnostic test, either they are hard up for business and trying to discourage their own coupons from detracting from the bottom line or they were just plain ignorant.

I wholeheartedly miss Italia Pizzeria! This place is your neighborhood stop and go when you are in a pinch for something fast and delicious. The Sicilian pie was at the top of my list. The cheese was browned and bubbly with a nice thick crispy crust. The marinara gravy was seasoned to perfection and the soups could make a healthy meal alone. The staff was friendly and concerned that everything done right.
