my issue is not with the food but with the terribly long line of people with lack of staff to help the lone cashier. I went at 11:40 am and there was always 8 – 12 people waiting to order. They had a lone person doing the orders, sampling, plating, and cashiering. Not her fault but especially galling was another employee in uniform casually eating her lunch while the line grew. I decided to post this on Unilocal after giving comments on the Panda website which is obviously contrived. The same few people posted review after review. After reading about the lady who’s son is in swim club and its his ‘go to’ place 4 times. It was only topped by the ‘Team Bellingham’ who miracuously knew each employees name and who was recently hired? Really? your a off the street customer. I was happy with the food though it took a while. I’d think since these are corporate stores someone would pay attention to the lack of service and step in to address the issues? Is anyone listening?

Terribly slow. I was stuck in the drive thru for almost 30 minutes, and when I got to the window they didn’t have my order right. I love Panda Express, just not THIS one.

This is fast food minus the fast. If cruising through the drive-thru be prepared to wait. There is no escaping once locked in by a car behind you. The good news is that the staff have always gotten my order right which you would expect since they take their time with each customer. There is only one drive-thru menu board, and it happens to be where the speaker is, so people tend to hold up the line while they figure out what they want. The pictures on the menu board show a lot more vegetables/fruit with the entrees than you actually get in real life. If you are hankering for a lot of meat, this might be ok with you. Egg rolls are considered an entrée, not a side or appetizer. In addition, you only get one with your order. Typical dining options include one, two or three plate entrees with a side. Sides include white rice, brown rice, fried rice or steamed vegetables. For no extra charge, you can divide your side order in half to get half rice and half vegetables. Their fried rice is a bit unusual. It is supposedly healthier because they use brown rice instead of white, but they have swapped out the eggs with sweet corn due to avian flu causing an egg shortage. There are no combos that come with a drink. If you order one of their Pepsi options, expect to pay a few extra dollars. Lately, I’ve been foregoing the drink since the multiple entrée plates alone will cost you $ 9 – 11 easily(a fortune for not-so-fast food). On a positive note, each meal is accompanied by a standard fortune cookie. The food is hot and tasty. Some of the chicken bits have had grizzle. Be sure to request soy sauce, chili sauce, and mustard sauce packets when you pick up and pay for your food.

I meant to drive to Panda Palace which has more positive reviews but made a wrong turn and ended up to this wrong«Panda» instead, to my regret. The guy who was taking our order wore a headset who appeared to be distracted at all times. Then, the pork meat of one of the entrees was still raw within. He also missed putting the veggie rolls and had to be reminded when we all have already started eating. Thumbs down.

Only drive thru in town where three or four cars means being trapped for 30 — 45 minutes. This is not an exaggeration and has happened to me twice. And the second time, I got sassed by a stressed out cashier for appending, «here you go,» with, «and no sauce or anything,» to try and speed up the interaction. Fire everyone, start over.

Wow, and not in a good way. Awful lack of service from a surly staff that seems to have been hired from the jail. The food is okay if you can get some, but 30 minute waits in the drive through and hostility from the counter make this nearly impossible. Management should observe the evening crew and make changes.

shame on me. i didn’t listen to my fellow« Unilocalers». the bellingham panda express is terrible just like its Unilocal rating says. rude girl took my order in the drive-thru, chinese spareribs tasted burned, and lucky me they screwed up and gave me 2 portions of the«chinese briquette ribs» instead of the shanghai steak i ordered. even the side of chow mein tasted funny. YUK. it really sucks cuz the panda express in the walmart parking lot on evergreen way in everett is awesome.

I actually love Panda Express. I forgot it was even here. I was happy to rediscover Panda Express again. It’s fast fresh Chinese Food. I saw them making it over the grill! There are many option to choose from. We usually get orange chicken, chow-mein, egg rolls, mix vegetables and prawn or whatever the specials is. Every time it has been fresh and amazing. A great go to place after a shopping and craving Chinese food.

I’ve been in the drive thru for 30 minutes so far and I am still waiting to place the rest of my order because the woman taking my order asked me if she could be with me in just one moment to finish my order. It’s been 7 minutest. I’ve tried to get her attention through the speaker and she still hasn’t gotten back to me. This is the worse service I’ve ever hadin a drive-thru. After seeing all of the terrible reviews about this location(from a month or more ago) I’m surprised that nobody has stepped up to try and create a more efficient and professional working crew and environment. I am so disappointed in this company.

While your waiting on me, please don’t stop to yell«Welcome to Panda Express» to every customer that walks in the door. Staff is all too eager to use word tracks without listening and being more personal with guests. Sample this, sample that, egg roll, etc. I understand suggestive selling but slow down and be personable. Food as expected.

I don’t know WHAT has happened to this Panda location, but 25 minutes in the drive thru when the restaurant only has 2 cars in the parking lot, and a total of 4 patrons inside is UNACCEPTABLE!!! and then to get home and find 3 tiny pieces of honey sesame chicken buried under a MOUNTAIN of asparagus is ENRAGING… I USED to eat here regularly, never again!

Just no. The service is bad, the food is sketchy, and it costs more than it ought to. We’ve waited 30 mins in the drive-thru and I’ve never been once when all the entrees were available. You’re «out» of beef and broccoli? How is that possible at 5pm on a Thursday? Once, they had me pull around to the parking lot to wait on my food. I waited 30 mins then called them from my car. I got a terse apology because they’d forgotten me.

I always have great experiences here! Food tastes fresh and they always get me out quickly. Tonight I came in and it took a little longer than normal but no biggie. After I paid, the cashier walked away to help. I continued to stand there. He came back and I told him I didn’t get my receipt. Which I should have had my meal free, but I didn’t. Either way. Good food for what you pay.

It seems everyone is hammering on this Panda Express. Our experience this evening was very good. We walked in, walked right to the counter and ordered, no waiting. The food was fresh, and tasted excellent. I am on weight watchers and was easily able to select a couple of dishes that fit into my program and enjoyed them. My wife who is far more critical of restaurant’s enjoyed her Angus beef dish and was quite happy when her dinner(much better than Bayou on the Bay dinner last night).

There is nothing Express about this place. It took 5 minutes of me standing at the counter to be greeted. And after choosing what I wanted to eat(a lot of it was out of stock) I stood at the register waiting for another 5 minutes to be rung up. None of the staff were thrilled to be here and it showed.

The food at this location is not as fresh as the one near College Way. The orange chicken I had was drenched in sauce that was too sweet. The side of fried rice was under seasoned. Also, I notice that this location is stingy with the amount of food they give. The Boy ordered the shrimp and he had 4 pieces of shrimp as an entrée choice…4. The cashier was ok I guess. She overcharged me for one of my entrees, but I was too tired from the drive to argue with her. The food scooper really needed to be happier. As I said, I was tired from the drive from Canada, I didn’t need some grumpy food scooper giving me the death stare and giving me so little food on the plate. The table I sat at was sticky. The fortune cookie I ate was ok until I broke it open and saw black mold like dots on the inside of the cookie. Disgusting! I will never return.

GAMEY. I’m disappointed this Panda Express is consistently earning itself only 2 star reviews, but I have to jump on that same bandwagon. The other reviewers are right. I was really happy with Panda Express in the Greater Seattle area, and was excited to see one in Bellingham. But every time I went there, the food tasted gamey to me. I gave them several chances with the same result, and gamey meat creeps me out, so I didn’t go there for about 4 years. I thought perhaps they were going through a bad period, or had a bad cook, and I gave them enough time to work through it. But I went there today, and it’s still gamey. I won’t be back. :(

We were big fans of Panda Express back in LA. We like that they don’t use MSG in their foods and have no trans fats. My husband loves their orange chicken and I like that they have veggie entrees. But this review isn’t about the Panda Express back in LA, it’s about the one in Bellingham. The one in Bellingham is so bad we don’t go there. We tried it a few times and just couldn’t get into it. Firstly, their portion sizes are WAY smaller than in LA. They use the same take out containers but barely put anything in there. For the price you’re paying, you’re really getting jipped. Secondly, the food, although they’re the same entrees at all locations, just tastes bad. The meat is dried out and everything is overly greasy. Maybe if this is all you know, you’d think it was decent food, but we can’t eat it because it just isn’t the same that we’re used to. Instead, we get Chinese from Haggens.
