If I could give zero stars I would. Long story short, the management doesn’t give a shit about their tenants. Mold in my room, oven is broken, terribly outdated and dirty, maintenance requests go unanswered, not enough parking so if you can’t find a spot you’re just on your own driving around aimlessly looking for one. There was rotten food in the cabinets when we moved in which tells me that they don’t clean throughly after tenants swap out. Smoke alarms are broken and after multiple times of maintenance attempting to solve the problem they seemed to have just given up. Water leaks from the roof, again they don’t seem to care when notified. my roommates key mysteriously was able to unlock my door? Honestly the worst management I’ve ever seen. All they seem to want to do is throw little guest appreciation parties for their tenants. Glad they appreciate us overpaying for their garbage quality apartments. I am going out of my way to make sure incoming tenants look else where.

There are honestly many places in Bellingham close to the Western campus for rent that are much better, and even though the people here are nicer than many other places, the service is just awful. For one thing, the internet they offer($ 20/month) is extremely slow regardless of whether you use and ethernet cable or wifi. Maintenance is extremely slow, and every other rental company I’ve had has at least been prompt with responses on maintenance requests, but here it’s months waiting. Due to an electrical issue, I didn’t have an overhead light in my room for months waiting for the request to be processed, and when I put the request in, the initial response was that I was responsible for replacing light bulbs even though I had already explained the issue. The parking lots are tiny with narrow spaces and always crammed full of vehicles – some of which don’t even have permits. What’s more, they started painting and pressure washing my building during the middle of the quarter when most of the tenants were still living there, and sent out an email asking everyone to park away from the building. This wouldn’t be a problem, and would even be a plus, if not for the aforementioned fact that there are so few parking spots available. They asked people struggling to park in an already full lot to park in spots that simply aren’t there, and then, when I had to park facing the building for lack of spots, I was threatened to be towed. So they won’t tow people parking without permits until three warnings, but they will tow people who are paying rent to live in their buildings for not being able to find parking.

When I first signed my lease to live here I was excited. I loved the idea of being on my own lease and renting out my own room, made paying bills easier! It seemed like the perfect transition from dorm to apartment living. But honestly I had a really negative experience living here. First off, when my roommates and I first moved in there was some maintenance that needed to be taken care of. We put in several maintenance requests, went down to the office, and spoke to the maintenance workers directly. Finally a month before we move out ONE problem gets fixed. We still had another issue that never got taken care of. Second, the parking lot for university heights always seemed to be full. I came home on multiple occasions and didn’t have a spot but when I walked through the parking lot there were a lot of cars without permits. I spoke to management about this issue and they told me after THREE warnings they get towed and that I have to find another place to park… I was paying for a parking spot but had to find another place to park as I wait for non paying residents to get THREE warnings before they get towed. Third, the apartment is just NOT worth the rent they charge you every month. It is so expensive and our apartment seemed really outdated and needed a lot of maintenance attention. And then when you move out they make sure to nickel and dime you for EVERY little thing. My roommates and I spent an entire day scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning but they still managed to find every little thing wrong. There are a ton of apartments in the same area for much cheaper rent and in much better condition. Honestly my roommates and I are SO happy to be out of this place and I will not suggest these apartments to anyone.

Really awesome place to live! Staff are super helpful and friendly! They plan events ever so often for tenants to participate in like: BBQ’s in the beginning of the year, coffee during finals week, and selected pizza nights! Close walking distance away from Western Washington University campus, individual leases available, friendly staff and parking available for all tenants!
