Excellent customer service. Excellent atmosphere, the 70’s music was awesome to hear while I was enjoying my chicken fried steak breakfast!

Hour + long waiting experience that culminated in our whole table being served raw potatoes… No one apologized for the wait. They took the extra chair from our table — eager to sit more people down… scanning the room revealed others were in breakfast purgatory. Skip the difficult parking lot and head downtown. They did bring me better hash-browns with onions? Why they didn’t rectify my friends uncooked meal still escapes me — we left hungry and frustrated.

It is not a fancy bfast joint(hah is there such a thing?!) — but to be fair they don’t claim to be. Clean eatery. Courteous staff. Pretty yummy food. I’ve eyed this restaurant before while shopping at TJ. I went there today for the first time after the waits at other local bfast-eries were 30+ minutes. We were seated promptly, and our orders were taken right away. Coffee was poured pronto(cream was provided in those little stainless cups as opposed to lame plastic sit-on-the-counter sealed mini cups) and refilled several times. Ahhh. I had egg benedict. And although it wasn’t 0h-my-god-hold-me fantastic, the hollandaise was obviously made to order. The hash browns were stellar — crispy on the outside, and gooey on the inside. All-in-all, a good price($ 12) for pretty good food. I appreciate that their menu is ‘normal’ and down-to-earth and not peppered with buzz words such as cruelty free, fair trade, sustainable, etc. Although all those are good things, restaurants who use them to bolster their bottom line are dishonest in my opinion and bandwagon-ing. For those other reviewers who say the food wasn’t awesome, pfsh! You snobs go somewhere else! It’s breakfast! If you want an out-of-this-world experience go to the Ritz — no thank you i can’t raise my nose high enough — else take some psychedelics.

Had a great breakfast at this Bellingham eatery! Our server was super nice and the food was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely go back next time I visit Bellingham.

My boyfriend said it was the worst eggs Benedict he’s ever had in his life. He was also really hungry and didn’t even finish it, which is unusual for him. I had an omelette and it wasn’t good. It wasn’t awful but definitely not good.

Our food was delicious and all the oddities of our order were honored(no cheese, dark toast, etc.). The menu had diced chicken and also sweet potato tots which were great. And, grapefruit beer and mimosas with breakfast! The décor is bright and diner cheerful. The banana caramel french toast was a tasty breakfast dessert. Two of us ordered choose your own ingredients omelettes which were really good. Waitress was helpful and friendly. All around great experience.

We’ve come here many times, and each visit is a little more disappointing than the last. Today we had about a 45 minute wait from when we were seated to when our food arrived. This was surprising, because the place was only half-full and we didn’t order anything complicated. Food was lackluster at best — hashbrowns so coated in pepper they looked nearly black, onions missing in another dish. When there were plates of food ready on the counter, waitstaff just stood around talking to each other rather than delivering them to tables. And should you need to substitute something, it will cost you! Asking for an option other than toast, which is pretty common in breakfast places, I was offered a $ 1 charge for tomatoes, or $ 4 for fruit. This place is a miss… Better options include Homeskillet, Old Town, Mt Bakery, Marlin’s, and Diamond Jim’s.

Staff was very friendly, but the food was a little bland and the wait was a bit too long for not being that crowded.

I love Over Easy! I’ve tried most of the items on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Coming into this restaurant is like coming home. Great service, friendly owners, love the décor, love the creative menu items– cardamum coffee? YESPLEASE.

Great food and friendly folks. Corn beef hash was great and my stomach is picky. Coffee was strong and local. I was impressed, for some reason it took me a year to give it a try. We will definitely be regulars.

Today I had breakfast with my wife. I had country style Benedict and my wife had the traditional ham Benedict. Very good service and the food was fantastic. Definitely I will come back.

Only because there is not a zero star option. I, like my other Bham Unilocalers gave this place a second, third, or more chance. I too, wanted to believe in another Bellingham breakfast joint. I gave them a year to get their shit together, but there is no excuse for what we endured today. 1. We waited as a party of 2. An empty 4 top was a reason not to seat us, due to a party if 5 that might need the table.(the table was a half a foot from the front door) 2. The waitress was friendly enough. Alf Took my order. «Chicken and waffles. Side of hash browns with gravy on top of them. «. Waitress says«can I put the gravy on the side so we don’t confuse the back of the house?» Me: look of amazement 3. One hour! Yes you heard that. 1 frickin hour! For a paper thin, grossly sweet waffle with a horrible chicken piece. The gravy on the side was no bigger than 2 tablespoons. They charged me 1.25. It was cold and floury. Hash browns were cold and undercooked. I guess that goes without saying but if you brown the outside, you get away with it. Your waitress could give 2 shits about your experience. Oh and check the middle mini wall that separates the restaurant. So dusty we had to ask them to wipe it down. Thanks, dust on my table is appetizing! I will never return. I hope the owners learn how to treat customers, staff, and«chefs» because all I see you do is pour coffee. Not ours, we sat over 20 minutes without a refill. We got our bill 5 minutes after our food was finally(60 minutes) delivered. Horrible!

Over Easy has been haunting me. Not in a ghostly-image-in-a-dark-attic sort of way, but in an I-really-want-to-like-this-place sort of way. I’d been there twice before, and not been blown away. But I know that some things take time. A new restaurant needs room to figure itself out, to work out the kinks, to improve on lessons learned. And so, on a recent weekday morning when I found myself in the area with an empty stomach and some time to kill, I went back. And I gotta say, I was impressed. There’s something very inviting about this space. It’s very bright, light, and has a coffee shop feel but with a modern vibe. I was greeted promptly and enjoyed some of their delicious brew while I perused the menu. I ordered my usual standby, biscuits and gravy(by the way they offer a half-order but I didn’t see it on the menu — I was glad I asked because even the half order was HUGE), along with a side of an over medium egg. While I waited for my food I booted up the ol’ laptop to get some work done, but I didn’t get much done because the breakfast arrived pretty quickly. The gravy was phenomenal; they make it in-house and it shows. It had HUGE chunks of sausage in it(like, you don’t really need to order extra breakfast meat with this)! The biscuits were perfect, too — moist and fluffy. And the egg, well, it was actually over medium. Yay! The service was also very friendly. The couple sitting next to me were regulars and you could tell in the warm, familiar way the waitress interacted with them. That’s always a good feeling, one that makes you want to become a regular too. My coffee was always topped off and the plates were cleared quickly. The whole meal was under $ 10, which is always a bonus. My only«meh» here is that they don’t have Wi-Fi, which seriously should be a requirement when opening a coffee shop in this day and age. It was a minor detail but one to keep in mind if you’re looking for a place to get some work done and don’t have a mobile hotspot on your phone. It’s great to see this business has apparently outgrown some of its difficulties and is becoming a Bellingham breakfast contender.

Pretty good food, although not something I couldn’t make myself at home for less. The coffee was served at a drinkable temperature which makes up for the fact that it can take at least thirty minutes before you get your food.

Possibly the best breakfast I’ve ever had! I had The OverEasy, all my favorites for breakfast and the bacon gravy? Omg I was in heaven! My sis got the whole wheat pancakes and she said they were the best ever. And the ham steak was cooked perfectly. Parking is tight so be patient!

I was here this past weekend for brunch with a decent sized party. The wait was abnormally long and the owner kept coming over to tell us there was a back-up in the kitchen and on and on. I’m relatively patient [thought my children aren’t as much], but at this point it was closer to 12:30 or 1pm and we were past hungry. They’d say they were coming back with coffee and then maybe forget about us for a little while and eventually return with the coffee pot. I asked my sister, who lives in town, if it was a new restaurant and she said it’s been open about a year maybe. So I would have expected the kinks to be worked out at this point. When my brioche French toast arrived it was the thinnest slices of brioche I’d ever seen. It was a half order, which was 1 piece of bread the thickness of sliced sandwich bread you’d buy at the grocery store. I was pretty disappointed. I was hoping for a little reduction on the bill due to the wait time, but nope. I’m always happy for a new café to open that serves breakfast, but it won’t be at the top of my list for future visits.

I took my family here for breakfast the Sunday following Christmas. It was a busy weekend in general and the restaurant was unsurprisingly packed. We were seated quickly, the food arrived promptly and we were all THOROUGHLY impressed by both the food and the service. The pumpkin French toast… Amazing. I’ve read numerous mixed reviews on here and, being a small business owner myself, felt obligated to share what an amazing and delicious experience our family shared. We/I look forward to returning. Great job!

I came here with my family on a Saturday AM not long after Over Easy opened. We were fairly early(before the leisurely weekend breakfast crowd) and were promptly seated. Our server was friendly and provided attentive service. We ordered an Eggs Benedict, and two omelettes. I didn’t want starch so I was happy to be able to substitute fresh fruit(which was actually really good). Coffee kept coming and it wasn’t long of a wait for our food. The restaurant filled up and was hopping as our food arrived. My omelette was okay but slight over done(a bit dry) but it was fine. At least it wasn’t drowning in cheese as many omelettes are prepared. The Eggs Benedict was not the best my son has ever had(he’s a bit of a connoisseur) but the Hollandaise Sauce was pretty good. We were impressed with Over Easy, the clean and bright interior, the seemingly familiar menu with all the expected morning dishes. I’d like to return to Over Easy once they get settled and in the groove. I think they’ll be a good match for Sunnyland Square, busy in the AM when neighborhood residents can come in for a good breakfast, and closing right as Trader Joe’s gets so busy the parking lot is packed.

This venue is for the early morning risers. If you like breakfast for lunch or dinner, you’ll need to head elsewhere because Over Easy closes early in the day(1pm even though the website says 2pm ). After 2 failed attempts to visit during business hours, I finally got there early enough on 2 other visits where I wasn’t turned away for service. My first visit was on a holiday weekend, and the place was busy, but there wasn’t a line. Both visits I made, I managed to find several available seats at the counter. Despite sitting at the counter right next to the kitchen waitstaff, I was surprised how long it took for someone to greet me, hand me a menu and take my drink order. Matter of fact, why not just leave the menus out for counter customers? The place is new, so I understand it will take some time for them to get into a groove. There is a large screen TV by the counter, but it merely flashes a picture of the musical group and song playing. The room is open and bright with yellow stools and a large floor to ceiling picture window. I’ve ordered two different varieties of Eggs Benedict here. The poaching of the eggs has been inconsistent. This is the foundation of this dish, and it absolutely needs to be right every time. The country version with the jalapeño biscuits added some additional spice to liven the meal up, but the sausage patty was dry and overcooked making me wish my egg was poached as expected so that I would have some fluid to soften each patty bite. The Florentine Eggs Benedict was much more pleasing to eat when I was there for my 2nd visit, but I was disappointed that I was charged so much extra for tomatoes and avocado, both are included staples at other establishments. The staff were friendly and willing to engage in conversation. They were efficient at doing drink refills and checking on whether I needed anything once my order had arrived. They were also prompt with the bill which will cost you more than $ 10. Thankfully they accept all major credit cards including American Express. Even though I had hoped for better food quality/taste, this place will do well located next to Trader Joe’s and a laundromat. Plus, there is free parking and complete avoidance of downtown traffic.

Tried this place out at about 9am on a Tuesday. Joint was about half full. We were seated promptly, and a young lady poured us some water immediately. Then… We waited. After about 10 minutes, a visibly frazzled waitress came to take order. I asked for coffee and a breakfast burrito, my fiancé ordered a wild mushroom omelette and 1 waffle dog. Then… we waited. Another 10 minutes later, my coffee arrived. Just a quick recap, that’s 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee in half full breakfast joint on a Tuesday morning. While we were waiting with nothing else to do, we noticed how many«managers» there seemed to be and how few servers. These managers moved about the dining area chatted up customers but didn’t seem to get much done to accelerate anyone’s wait time. The food was mostly underwhelming. Wild mushroom omelette was as bland as it sounds(her fault for ordering it) the burrito was at the low end of acceptable, it was supposed to have sausage but I was unable to detect any hint of meat. But I wasn’t about to file a complaint that was likely to result in additional wait time. The bright spot was the waffle dog which the original Over Easy is supposedly famous for. It’s breakfast sausage on a stick, dipped in waffle batter and deep fried. Quite delicious but simply not worth the garbage service.
