We went for happy hour Friday afternoon. The one waitress working was busy but friendly and did a good job considering she was there solo. The nachos were burnt on the top layer, enough so my kids didn’t want to eat them which is saying something. I ordered a grape nehi and received something terrible tasting and blue! I returned it after the first sip. Also, happy hour is only available in the bar. no happy hour for parents I guess :(

Meeeh. Huge ridiculous portions, but I did not care for the food itself. I don’t know, I ordered the guacamole burger and it had no taste, but all the fat. What a calorie ripoff. Tables and seats were sticky. Price was about $ 13/burger which is reasonable to me. I don’t know, it just didn’t do it for me. Very unimpressed. Wouldn’t come back.

I attempted to dine in for dinner on the 4th of July with my girlfriend and another couple to wind-down a wonderful evening. The holiday hours of operation were posted on a black dry erase board next to the door advertising business extended to 1am so we dove right in. Upon arrival(at 12:40am) we received cold shoulder treatment from the hostess and other servers who were DELIBERATELY avoiding us hoping we’d just go away. We were tired of waiting to be sat so we jumped up to the bar where we were told«food service was no longer available in the bar, but we’re still accepting food orders downstairs, feel free to sit wherever.» We shuttled back to the dining room and sat ourselves as the hostess post was still abandoned. We watched the servers continually walk past us, ignore us again, and stand around chatting in the server station that was in plain sight for 5 minutes. It was quite amazing how we witnessed them discuss a game plan solution to deny us service, assuming they had better things to do and better places to rush off to after work. I finally raised my hand to get someone’s attention for some menus, a server annoyingly walked up as if we were pests, denied us menus and claimed«the kitchen is closed, SORRY.» Meanwhile we all watched the hostess sit a new table next to ours handing them menus, and other servers in nearby sections were taking/delivering food orders. We left filled with confusion and anger, with NO desire to ever return to that location. I couldn’t help myself but to storm back in demanding a manager, the boy(who earlier rolled his eyes and sighed when he peeked around the corner as we were forced to seat ourselves) claimed he was the manager, so I simply asked him if the kitchen was still accepting food orders or not, considering the current time was 12:50am and advertised business hours were open until 1am. He acted surprised and said yes! He asked if I’d like to take a seat at the open table next to him. It was beyond baffling to me how he played stupid as if he didn’t see my party of 4 sitting near his chit chat party with his employees for several minutes waiting for service. I’ve spent over a decade of my life serving tables in many restaurants and have never witnessed such careless and disrespectful actions(or lack there of). My friends and I have been dining at this Bobs for several years and have all agreed to bring that to an abrupt end. Unbelievable.

YUMMER-A friend of mine came to visit me from Cali and we wanted to find a nice place to eat in B’ham. I didn’t realize most places are closed at 6pm on Sundays BUT Bob’s Burger and Brew was open. They have an upstairs bar and downstairs dining. We sat in the dining area and was served by Alex, who provided EXCELLENT customer service. I ordered a mushroom burger with joe joes and my friend ordered the jalapeño popper burger with joe joes. The burgers were so delicious! The down side of our visit was the skinny waitress with the long blond hair who was serving the table in front of us. She was walking around the area with a broom and dust pan and came to our table and started sweeping and banging on her dustpan. THAT was extremely annoying!!! The worst part was when she finished, I saw her walk in the back with the broom and dustpan only to pop back out in less than a minute to serve the people in front of us their food! I don’t think she even washed her hands. I made sure to address my concerns to Alex who was very gracious in telling me she would let the management know. My experience was good other than that but I hope when I return I DONOT get that server. Staff meeting?

Two years in Bellingham, and I finally went to Bob’s. Well, it was A-OK just like I thought it’d be, but nothing special. Pros? –Great people watching view from the upper bar –Really efficient and friendly service –Good deals late night and happy hour –Uhhhhh fried pickles. Why do more places not have fried pickles? Cons? –Food was average. Think Red Robin, but with less good fries and more mediocre flavor.

Not everyone shares in this opinion but I happen to think the burgers here are excellent. So are the salads. Portions are HUGE. Try the Jojos — they are delicious. Have tried other Bob’s locations but for some reason I find the food to be tastier at this one. Service is usually pretty good also. I have been here for lunch several times and they had some super cool music on which I enjoyed but it is a little loud which makes it difficult to talk to whoever you may be sharing your meal with.

Not impressed! We ate upstairs in the bar and all the servers were huddled around 3 or 4 guys at the bar drinking. Obviously they were all friends and the customers came second. You almost felt like you were intruding on their time if you needed something like another beer or the check. Our server could have cared less about our experience. It was drop off what we wanted and scurry back to the huddle. I love when they ask if they can get you something else and you say yes, I’d like a xxxx, but they never bring it. On a positive note and earning a second star, the food was really good!

Food was great quality for the price we paid, and the server was polite and attentive. Décor is nice, many photos of local mountains decorate the walls.

Went here on Saturday for lunch and was only impressed by the booze. I got a 24 oz Shock Top for $ 6.50! The burgers are fine. They’re not anything special. I had the aloha burger which was refreshing with pineapple on it. The fries were ok. Not really much else to say… Service was hilarious and good. Our waitress was really sweet and made sure our drinks were full. Boyfriend asked for Dr. Pepper. Waitress gave him Root Beer twice and then we politely told her. Turns out they mixed the syrups incorrectly. Also, the hostess was prancing around everywhere and flipping her hair in a dress that practically showed her butt… Pretty unprofessional and awkward.

I’ve eaten at this Bob’s before and the food was OK. We ate here tonight with some friends and again the food was just OK. The portions are large but who cares about that if the food isn’t good. I had the malibu chicken burger, it had very little pineapple on it and not enough sauce. The chicken wasn’t very juicy either so overall this sandwich was pretty dry and tasteless. I chose a salad as my side but the croutons were actually burnt which made the salad taste awful. I let the server know and we were given the option of getting another side to take home with us. We let our friends pick something and we let them take it home. My friend texted me later and sent me a pic of the fries they put in the bag which were also burnt(which seemed intentional). If it wasn’t intentional then they have somebody cooking in their kitchen that doesn’t have a clue of what they are doing. Maybe all they care about is their bar crowd. After this, we will never eat there again.

Don’t see what all the hype is about. these burgers are nothing special. All they make is burgers and apparently the other items on their menu are not cooked to the same degree as the quality of the other food, for example their«Fish» is overcooked. All they can make are burgers. hence the name. So If your looking for a variety of food this isn’t the place to go.

Mediocre overpriced, $ 12-$ 15 salty burgers. Barely cold beer. Walking out $ 40 poorer during happy hour with a box of leftover jojos(the best part) & a frowny face for my & my boyfriend’s not cold beer.

Bob’s has so many options and everything is delicious. Their prices are very reasonable for the huge portions you get– expect leftovers! You can also get a pitcher of beer for $ 11. I highly recommend their happy hour! You can easily get food and drinks for two for under $ 15.

If I could put 0, I would… I’ve gotten food poisoning here before. I know others who have as well. All the food is overly processed and contains GMOs, other chemical additives and is simply unnatural and degrading to any normal human appetite. With so many better alternatives like Fiamma Burger, Avenue Bread, Streat Food… why go to this craphole? Basically. no one go here. It is terrible.

Like probably went to this restaurant at least 5 times last year, including my birthday. And this year, my friends and I decided on Bob’s again for my birthday dinner(: The staff is very friendly and courteous. They seem to know the perfect time for everything. They weren’t hovering around us while we were figuring out what to order, but they didn’t take too long either. They came back conveniently every once in a while to refill drinks or bring us more condiments. The food is awesome as always. I had the buffalo chicken burger with blue cheese. Yummmmm. The portions are very fair for the price. They don’t have the late night menu anymore though. Oh, and it’s a lot of fun to watch the people outside in line waiting to get into the club next door.

Ok, this is going to sound odd, but I haven’t stepped foot in this restaurant, but I have eaten a lot of food from this particular place. There is a gentleman that works there that occasionally swings by and brings my co-workers and I some grub. It’s all been pretty good… but I have to say the salmon wraps are my favorite. They’re FANTASTIC! They have gluten-free options as well. I am going to actually go eat at the restaurant, and I when I do, I will post an update. But the food is good… so I’m thinking that it’s going to be a pretty mellow place to eat.

Oh Bobs. Maybe the crowd isn’t my favorite cup of tea but! The wedge fries are so delicious, and the burgers a nostalgic perfection so I’ll take it, affliction shirts and all. This small chain was started by Bob, local guy from Lynden, WA about 25 years ago. Most of the restaurants are pretty family oriented although I will say this downtown location is a bit of an exception and serves more of the college and bar crowd. The service is decent and speedy, the burgers are our favorite and a must have when we’re in town! Recommended? The Bonanza burger, the Fish & Chips, the Potato salad,(something about the texture makes it addictive) The Ranch burger(with a fried egg) or the Aloha with swiss and pineapple… ugghhh! Now I’m starving and it’s so far away! We honestly haven’t found a new favorite after 4 years in California and they take burgers pretty seriously here too. The bar area upstairs is a popular local spot to watch the game or pre funk before going out in downtown. Everybody knows everybody kind of place(That’s the Ham in general though)

We visited Downtown Bob’s for lunch on a warm summer day. The restaurant was not busy and the weather was great, so we sat outside. Service was pretty good, not outstanding. Bob’s is always good for lots of food of acceptable quality. Each Bob’s is independently owed(or at least more than a few of them are), this is one of the nicer locations. Bob’s makes diner food(burgers, sandwiches, and some traditional plates) with nicer décor. The food on this day and in the location was good, not fantastic, but copious and flavorful enough. The service was pretty good, the server visited often and my soda was refilled without too much of a wait. Whatever you do, go to Bob’s when you’re hungry. The food comes on large platters and, if your order includes fries, I guarantee plenty will come with your order. Sandwiches and burgers are good-sized and will fill you up.
